Just finished celebration for February babies last week, and here comes the celebration for the March baby, - chyi's. 

Apparently the girls only whatapps group had been recently modified into a new name - Wo們, means "us".

Finally someone realized how lame was that name, oh well =) 

We had our gathering at That comma cafe in Setia Alam, this cafe has a good rating over the websites, I must agree the ambience and the service was just like what the viewers experienced, but the food was actually just alright.

I ordered the combination of breakkie waffle and farmer's breakfast. 

The breakkie waffle was served at first, without telling me they would serve the second one later, which made me really confused.

Reason of myself being confused - I was so shocked after seeing the portion size.

In my mind, i thought the waffle was just like an extra add-on with the breakfast, but apparently it's really come with an sunny side up egg and grilled bacon.

Unfortunately, the waffle is a Belgium waffle, this crispy and sweet waffle was not a good companion with the savoury and salty egg and bacon.

Hence, this breakkie waffle was really a bad dish. 

I waited for quite long for my second part to be served, and was doubting if the staff wrote down the wrong order, ignoring my combination meal.

Kc was comforting me about they will serve later, and it was true until i asked one of the staff. 

Then, my farmer's breakfast finally arrived after KC's cheese baked spagetti, which was pre-informed need to take 20mins for prepartion.

However, they never told me it need more than 20mins preparation for my farmer's breakfast. Hmmm....

The combination was not too bad, there were baked beans, a long chicken sausage, grilled capsicum and mushrooms, corn and lettuce salad, served with 2 homemade toasts and sunny side up egg underneath.

The mushroom was actually cold, sames for the egg, it was actually not very appetizing. Chicken sausage was actually quite salty, but overall not too bad, if the breakfast is hot.

I could complain about the "bow up" pan, and also the rusty pan, but i was too hungry, and ate so much until the end, turned up i was so full ==

Let's skip the food and back to the main purpose of our gathering tonight - to celebrate Chyi's birthday.

But it was an early celebration, and she was so like a student tonight. Seems like we were just back in high school.

There were also many high school throwbacks and conversations, all the memories back like we never change at all.

It was a happy night, with lots of laughter and fun. 

Yimei bought the same cakes again, a variety of cheese cakes from Purple monkey.

However, i must confess that the cheese cake actually was not that great for the second attempt. these cheese cakes were too hard

The taste, no matter which flavor, were also not very good, they almost taste the same ==

The new flavor - chocolate banana was so awful, i felt like throwing up after eating that small piece. Imagine the cheese cakes were so small but shared by 9 of us, each person only got to taste very tiny bites. 

Ignoring the cakes, afterall it was a good night, with good people. Happy birthday Chyi!

It was Bean's call for the movie, I am a big fan of the X-m3n series no doubt, but personally, i am not really into the wolverine series, and i never watch any of them.

The only thing i knew about Logan before watching it, was this movie marked the farewell of Hugh Jackman with this role of Wolverine. 

That's a bit sad, because he had participated in all the X-men movie series since the very begining and his play for the mutant with retractable bone claws in his hands.

I quite like this Australian actor, but i never watch his other movies beside the X-men series. After watching Logan, I only found out he was such a great actor who really can act!

It was a sad movie, we all knew what would happen in the end, but it was still very miserable to see how the superhero losing his healing ability and suffered from all the wound and pain.

Just like ordinary human, Logan is turning old mentally and physically. There was a poison in his body, he lose all his passion to define the new world.

He was tired of saving the weak, and scared to reveal how timid and how afraid he was. He gone mad when his only companion, Caliban was trying to point out the inside he was hiding.

All superhero movies started with an awaiting rescue, which somehow is always a dangerous one, and it was for sure an inevitable one for Logan.

Not sure if it was a rescue for the new mutant that new to the world after 15 years, Laura, or it was a rescue for the main charater, Logan himself.

I guess it was for both, Logan was once a strong, unbeatable superhero, but now he doesn't even know who he is. 

His life is surrounding with beers, medications that helps calm down Dr. X, and all the nights fetching different people in his rented LIMO, some were professionals, some were crazy punks, some were mad idiots, until one day he got to fetch the young mutant. 

Maybe there is no Eden, there is no heaven, but there is for the young child, Laura.

I wonder how she come through all these, getting thing she wants with the killing ability she has. She never experienced a normal childhood, her life was about escape from the dark forces and holding the hope that given by the kind nurses who sacrified their lifes for the kids.

Yes, after all, they are just kids. They are not killing machines, and how cruel was the smart scientist who inventing the poison in their naive body and mind.

Although there were no any X-men movies linking between Logan and the X-men: the last stand in 2006, but it did not really spoil the stories.

Both Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart had done a great job in playing the roles, their acting realitically telling the audience how a superhero actually also just human-like, they will have tears, pain, lost and aged. The super brain suffered from illness and aging too, and recalling the ambitious dream he holding in his old days, he was definitely feeling the loneliness and demanding for an ordinary life with family, with love ones, just a normal bed under the roof but not the abandoned hollow water tank.

However, what i like about Professor X, Charles, was his positve mind and he always, still keeping the hope, especially when he realized the new mutant, Laura is coming.

Unlike Logan, who is the reluctant one, just holding all the pain by his own, and live without a life, barely earning the penny for a sun seeker cruise. Something big, cruel, unpredicatable incident must had happened before 2029, from the movie we just briefly knew it was an attack of virus, and Charles. who suffered from seizure, had inadvertently killed some of his beloved x-men. 

I guess all these incidents made Logan to hide from the world, hide from the attack of nowhere, from the dark forces, and behind his coward-like hiding, was the love towards the great professor X, he just want to protect the only related one he has. 

I decided to stop the post here, because seems there were too many spoilers. 

Anyway, i personally think the movie is slightly too long, and i was a bit (just a little) inpatient in the middle of the movie, wondering when it would end and if there are more action scene coming. 

I was wrong to take the movie like other x-men film series, Logan is very unique superheroes movie, in fact, i would describe it with words - emotional, dark, sad.

It was not about the action, it was about life, about the trueself of the superheroes, their concern, their fear, their love, their thoughts. 

Thumbs up for Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, and the story teller, James Mangold, and all the crews, you guys had performed very well. and I enjoyed my night in the huge black box. 

yes, finally! these past 6 months were really long, it was also my longest probation period. 

I never thought i would be confirmed today, i knew it would happen in March, but never foresee this soon.

Boss asked me to went to meeting room after lunch, i thought she want to tell me any other stuffs, but immediately knew it would be my confirmation.

It was smoother than i thought, and the evaluation my boss prepared for my scoring was actually not too bad, meeting all requirement, with 2 score get higher mark which was the relationship with other workers and my daily attendance.

I knew there were much more stuffs i need to improve, can tell my boss has higher expectation.

I think because my current job was not that stressful compared to the old days, and i was pretty relaxed because i could go home on time, i never really got scolded for being wrong, and i was actually quite slacking if compared with my past job.

So i admited to my boss my stress level was alright, because it was nothing compared with what i had in Macfood.

Anyways, i knew what i need to improve, and again, was tell need to work more independently.

I forgot to ask what she mean by that, because I think i am independent enough, i think what she commented shall be I am lacking of preparation and foreseeing the need of management level.

For example, prepare the anwser of the question i might be asked for, or any other documents which i could prepare earlier.

Costing especially, i guess even i changed a new job, i shouldnt forget the basic procedure i need.

Finally met Natasya after 2 years, lol, I was the one who made the call again, i doubted why i always be the one who schedule all these gatherings...

However, i would take this as a blessing, a gift, who bring people around me closer, and together =)

Had big breakfast at Plan B this morning, actually all cafes at Mid Valley were packed in this Sunday morning, I guess everyone woke up late and linguiring for brunches.

JUst like myself, rather skip my homemade simple breakfast, also drown for this evil breakfast platter

Actually Plan B got a varieties of breakfast options, but somehow I was very hungry this morning, so still chose big breakfast.

The breakfast come with pan seared chicken sausage, angus beef bacon, avocado wedges, sauteed mushroom, scrambled egg, cherry tomatoes, baked beans and homemade multigrain toast.

Portion was real big, I still got like 2/3 to go after Nat finished hers. BUt i am happy with what i had ordered, but sincerely it was just an ordinary breakfast set, nothing special about it.

My honey lemon tea was more interesting, come with a beaker of honey, it's really reminds me about those lab work i did at job.

We chat so much today, not into we-fie, cuz i could tell Nat did not like taking photos, and not even into social media.

So we just enjoy the moment we shared, and talked so much, from work to relationship, to view about guys and setting up a family.

We covered such a deep topic today, and it had been a while since i use english to begin a conversation outside of work.

It was actually a bit struggling at first, but somehow it brought back lots of memories, those memories that i always had english conversation naturally with my ex-colleagues, friends...

I guess is time for me to speak more in english, because i really afraid i will lose all these familiarity one day.

After breakfast, we spent sometimes for window shopping, but Natasya managed to get some outfit for her work.

For me, i nearly bought one but hold back at last minute because the dress i saw was really similar with one that i had.

In the end, we also got further "snack" and dessert at Define: Food.

I actually really wanna dine in there, thank god Natasya didnt mind it is just pork free restaurant.

Nat was still hungry, so I suggested to order one savoury meal and one dessert.

So here we go: homemade wagyu beef lasagna for savory: i actually really like this, it was really good, the cheese really creamy and chewy, matched so well with the sauce and minced beef.

It may not seems appetizing, but the taste was actually good.

I picked the Alaska Bomb for dessert, because it is more unique and i really wanna find out their standard for dessert.

For sure, Alaska bomb aint a easy dessert, the presentation is awesome, but the meringue was too soft and too sweet.

Actually it was my first time encountered such a soft meringue and just learnt that Italian meringue is baked differently from French meringue.

Italian meringue was soft and stable and more ideal for decoration purpose. 

However, i still think the meringue was too creamy and thick for this dessert.

The crumb underneath the meringue, over the pandan kaya ice cream was actually slightly crumbly and not matched with the dessert.

Pandan kaya ice cream was still almost frozen like ice, and the flavour was so mild that was not able to cope with the sweetness from the outer layer (the meringue).

Good for looking but not for the taste. 

Maybe we paid for the visual then =D

Anyway, it was a good catch up, we shall not meet a year later, Nat, please make the call for the next session =) (but somehow i think it would be me again =S)
