So this is the real goodbye, Brandon, my previous 20 year old intern is departing back to the state this weekend continueing his final 2 yrs study.

Then, his ideal plan is to get a job and settle down in the state and not sure when will be the next time seeing Malaysia.

It is quite sad to be apart, but i really think it is a better choice.

Seeing the situation in Malaysia now, leaving the country somehow is a better option especially he still very young.

The secret lunch society is meeting up for dinner + dessert catch up tonight at Empire Subang shopping mall.

Brandon chose Ding Tai Fung for dinner and guess what?! Derrick was treating us!!

Finally, he only decided to make a treatment upon Brandon and my farewell ==

Actually this is also my first time having meal at Ding Tai Fung.

The food actually not really very nice, but the price really shocked me!

Thank god someone paid the bill =)

The meal definitely not enough for us, we went to Jibby & Co for the yummy cakes.

IMG_20160822_235223.jpg

Tiramisu was my first attempt too after trying out their cakes for 2 times, very nutty on the top and creamy in the middle.

However, if you seeking for the real tiramisu with the real coco and bitter rum, too bad it is a halal restaurant and the tiramisu is neither contains rum nor made up of mascarpone.

It was also very sweet, is best for sharing.

IMG-20160817-WA0009.jpg

Meteor is another cake i would order and order again everytime when i come to Jibby.

It never fail me, but of cause for people who not having a sweet tooth, you might wanna choose other options.

Last, wish Brandon all the best in the state, you would be missed!

I thought i would be the one leaving first in August, but there was another lady who wanna leave more immediately

She is Rohanna, my assistant specially hired for assisting the packaging exec, to be short, she is actually more like a clerk who handle documentations.

Rohanna would love to continue her study in Uni which is a wise choice, and I think this is definitely a better path for her.

Working at Macfood for person who never willing to appreciate her effort is definitely a waste of time, she need to think about herself more.

I think both of us had made a right decision. I am counting the down the remaining days at Macfood, indeed there's a lot of memories which are hard to let go.

However, that's life right?

Look what i found at the kitchen freezer:

20160812_094055.jpg

We were clearing the freezer in 1 evening, and I found this and interested on checking out the flavor.

Surprisingly, this is very good, the sauce and the corn mixture was so matched, with the crispy bread crumb covers, i was in love with it.

I think i would miss all these unhealthy deep fried food very much, it was so easy to cook up stuff at R&D kitchen here.

And yes, the McDonald's Nugget, looks like i only could enjoy them for the last time for now, and maybe seek for them at the store with costly price for just tiny 6 pcs =(

I got a heart shaped nugget while waiting for the farewell to begin.

20160812_164453.jpg

Kak zura said my lover is awaiting, i wish this is a real sign, i actually really wish i could find my Mr. Right very soon.

After i finished up this love sign, the farewell started.

Well, it was just a simple farewell for Rohanna, but i really feel the team (not all of us) did not appreciate her.

The gifts were last minute digged out from one of the boss's unused item, it was actually very pathetic.

I am sorry for you Rohanna, i think you deserved better treatment.

Wish you all the best in your future!

After the farewell, i have a meet up with my ex-boss that i had missed so much

Ya, having dinner with Karen, talked so much about the current, and recalled so much memories we passed through

i really wished we still working together, i really think i am very lucky, i not just met a good boss, i also met a good friend.

We had dinner at Yoshinoya, the newly opened Japanese franchise in Malaysia also have come to Sunway Pyramid.

I ordered the spicy gyu-don (spicy beef with white rice) and it was yummy~

IMG_20160815_215648.jpg

It also come with an onsen tamago (hot spring egg but of cause not really boiled in hot spring) which was very runny and matched well with the don.

After the lunch, we went to another newly opened Japanese best known bakery and beverage franchised cafe - Saint Marc Cafe

IMG_20160813_004711.jpg

look at the display counter, the colorful parfait is really yelling for me!!

20160812_200510.jpg

We chose the chocolate banana parfait, to be honest, the ice cream already half melted when it was served

The cafe is very empty with only 3 tables which include ours, and yet we actually holding the vibrate plate and collect ours immediately once it snoozed.

This parfait is dissapointing, it is very normal, but yet it charged us 19 bucks! I can simply make one at home, the ice cream is not really very creamy or smoothy.

Apart from the bad dessert tonight, it was a good catch up with Karen.

Wish we could meet up more often.

just wanna throw back some of the goodies that I recently had....not consider these as my food hunting during work series because there's also food that i tried out with other fren.

20160728_202614.jpg

First of all, the big breakfast i had at [The Morning After] in Oasis Ara Damansara.

Finally paid Oasis a visit after hearing about this beautiful place from my cousin, Sze ages ago, i decided to ask Huey Yee to join me to visit this place for food hunting.

Initially we would like to have some cafe food maybe at [Mr and Mrs] but too bad it was closed at night, but my craviness for big breakfast is too desperate, so ended up we chose a cafe at the side but with not many people around - [The Morning After]

Apparently the food menu had quite some number of options to choose, and not too pricy.

I ordered [An American Dream], which come with sunny side up egg, roasted potatoes, beef bacon, turkey ham, chicken sausage, sautee mushroom and cherry tomatoes.

Slightly different from those typical big breakfast, roasted potatoes were served rather than hash brown.

I do know big breakfast is something very ordinary and easily can be done at home, but just somehow I still like to have big breakfast during cafe hunting.

Hence, a slightly different big breakfast will always light up my day =)

When comes to the feedback, hmmm, their breakfast is large with lots of goodies, but taste was normal, nothing wow about it.

Next, move to the lunch I had few days ago at [有間麵館] in Da:Men mall, there are many food options at this new mall, but i have no idea why the mall is still so empty and seems like lacking of some feng shui.

Though the mall is really half dead, but there are 2 shops always crowded, one of them is this noodle shop we visited.

20160731_095836.jpg

I had the meatball noodle soup while wai ee had the dry noodles.

Their homemade noodle is really good, very refreshing and delicious.

20160731_095840.jpg

Derrick ordered the fish head noodle soup also seems not bad.

Then, throw back to the Japanese potato shoestring snack I had during work. This is super yummy, really looking forward for my Japan trip now!

20160802_110755.jpg

Ya, counting down to my Japan trip in another month!

Got the travel book from Kok Chin, and I am rushing all my itinerary now!

yeah I am so happy today, got to meet Ing Bean tonight and finally got my long waited present!

first of all, i would like to share how the morning glory shine my day this morning!

20160809_074011.jpg

20160809_074020.jpg

the morning glory growing wildly along the fence at my company parking area. Luckily I just parked beside them this morning, and their beautiful blooming scene really lighten my day~

Then tonight, another favourite lightened my night, thank you bean!!

20160810_201524.jpg

I had been waiting my favourite band - Mayday releasing their new album since their last album in 2011.

Finally they come !

I actually asked bean to get this from me all the way from Taiwan during her visit in Taiwan.

Well, she also got herself one, and this is a limited early bird edition =P

We met at comic cafe tonight, thought their big breakfast was good but i was wrong.

20160810_203212.jpg

I think I would not pay another visit to this place again....

Then, is time to reveal the present after reaching home.

20160811_003549.jpg

My cinnamon roll also take part for the opening session =)

IMG_20160811_004414.jpg

It was a nice packaging, wrapped well, packed nicely, and also come with a box of Mayday 9th album special bookmarks.

The CD has a sky design, really looking refreshing and high quality.

IMG-20160927-WA0003.jpg

Apparently the early bird limited edition was thicker than the normal edition.

IMG-20160927-WA0005.jpeg

Another good thing I wanna share is about their concert!

Finally i am having the chance to watch their concert in Malaysia!

Yes, i have bought it, oops, i should thank bean again, she went to Paradigm mall super early and line up crazily to get the VVIP ticket.

IMG-20160813-WA0005.jpg

Cant wait!!

okay, continued with trip yesterday, we woke up not too late this morning.

Of cause, we went for food hunting again, followed Brandon's wish, we went for the famous mamak mee goreng first.

IMG-20160807-WA0004.jpg

It was not too bad, very different style of mee goreng, somehow I never try this kind of flavor before.

And I really impressed with how Brandon found out all these unqiue food which supposed to be famous?

Well, it was quite crowded too when we arrived at the mamak, but honestly, I wouldnt go for the secound time because it was too pricy and not really very delicious.

IMG-20160807-WA0043.jpg

IMG-20160807-WA0058.jpg

After the heavy breakfast, we decided to explore Nagore Square, a new precinct transformed from the heritage of old penang, at the same time, incoporating the cafe culture and artistic design of modern world.

20160807_121400.jpg

20160807_121418.jpg

Here is a good place for photo, i guess it would be more popular in future. Luckily we got to explore here =)

IMG-20160807-WA0072.jpg

IMG-20160807-WA0071.jpgIMG-20160807-WA0070.jpg

20160807_121651.jpg

20160807_121754.jpg

We actually wanna tried out the famous har mee here, but we were really very unlucky, we had missed out 4 famous har mee stores (all of them were closed), thought the one at Nagore Square maybe would open and we were so wrong.

Ended up we just have other hawker stores' food, like lor mee, chicken rice, and nyonya kuih

20160807_122527.jpg

The nyonya kuih is surprisingly very good, very soft, good texture and not too sweet.

I also bought some back home.

Initially, we planned to buy some bakeries at Nagore square, then heading back to home, but Wai Ee would like to explore further.

20160807_125323.jpg

20160807_125330.jpg

20160807_125334.jpg

20160807_125350.jpg

Luckily we chose to explore further, because we found a very cozy and nice cafe here~

Hidden in an alley, not even owning an obvious sign at the door.

IMG-20160807-WA0073.jpg

However, once you stepped in, you would be amazed by the vintage style of this hipster cafe revamped from the old heritage Penang building, this is how the old meet the new.

IMG-20160807-WA0003.jpgIMG-20160807-WA0009.jpg

20160807_130530.jpg

How would you not impressed with their creative interior design, they really well used of the existing space and tranformed such a normal place into a cool cafe.

Too bad we were really full, otherwise I would love to have their cafe style food.

IMG-20160807-WA0076.jpg

There were not much cake selections, I guess the cafe is more proud of their savoury menu.

Too bad I had to miss out this time =(

20160807_125640.jpg

20160807_125804.jpg

I ended up just had a hot chocolate, but the art really failed ==

20160807_130719.jpg

Hence, I decided to create my own.

20160807_130744.jpg

20160807_130956.jpg

Then, even I could do 3D art! lol

20160807_131149.jpg

We spared almost an hour here, as we worried about the traffic going back home, we decided to make a move.

That's the sum up for our Penang trip, I had a very fun time with all of you and I really enjoyed the trip!

IMG-20160807-WA0042.jpg

IMG-20160807-WA0045.jpg

Not sure when 4 of us could gather again because Brandon is heading US soon and he would not back Malaysia in recent years.

So, really appreciate this trip, thank you.
