cant believe my earliest birthday celebration is almost 1 month earlier, tho it is already September, but still celebrating my birthday today was really far too early.

Well, thanks anyway, tho i know it was just another tag along with my colleague, Yen, as his birthday is next week and he ald joined the company for 8 months.

In contrast, i am new join and still on my second week, so no point and also abit awkward to celebrate for my birthday.

OMG, i looked so fat in this company shirt!!! 

The cake was actually baked by another sales baker yesterdy, quite surprised they directly use their cakes for our birthday cake ==

The whole team is here~ I also received gift, which is a box of Ferrero Rocher. Never expect they also buy gift for me. 

So i had a kinda surprise birthday celebration, surprised because i never expect they celebrating my birthday along. 

Then, they also said this trio color mousse cakes were for me only, lol. I actually saw the sales baker baking it yesterday. 

We also have birthday lunch today, so many receiving today~ thank you.

Tho it was just domino pizza, but still happy with free lunch. 

I would also like to throw back some of the bakeries i done last weekend:

red bean bread, especially those twisting one is really not easy to bake~

hot dog bun~

the pretzel was the only one i am dissastified with, now understand why aunty anne was so famous~

That's all for now, I am heading to the airport soon, my birthday gift for myself - first Japan trip....FINALLY!!! 

Ooh yeah, finally left the company, and my new chapter is awaiting tomorrow.

I did not have many holidays before i start my new job, well, now felt that i was really stupid did not ask for longer holiday..==

I just have 5 days of break including the weekend and also public holiday which is today. 

I also had attended my first baking class during the weekend, which is sponsored by my new company.

my baking course consist of 3 modules, 6 classes per module, first with bread, then followed by pastry and cakes. 

first time baking bread, i never have experience baking them even spending 5 yrs plus in NZ because i am not a bread person. 

but baking bread is actually kinda fun, very new experience to me.

one thing need to mention also i have to meet the old folks in my baking class ==

meeting faeezah was good, because I was the one who introduce her to the class

But the thing i worried indeed happen, Eying and her husband joined the course as well...damn...==

nevermind, treat her as invisible one.

I guess i would receive lots of bakery every weekend for up to next 2 months...

Went to shopping with mum on Monday, and had mcdonald's for lunch 

Mainly because i have cash voucher given from Ken. 

Yesterday also gone to Centro to open a bank account at CIMB bank, sometimes changing job is troublesome especially if they want you to have certain bank account.

I also used up another voucher given by bpeng, which required to use only at Starbucks in centro. 

Enjoy my remain holiday until the next adventure.

I had been writing so many posts of my colleague's farewell and finally it had come to my turn.

I thought I would be emotional today, but surprisingly I was very calm today until the day turn dark.

Gone to QA kitchen at first, and passed some of the candies and chocolates to Abang Mizy, the supervisor. 

I still remember I actually kinda scared Abang Mizy when I first joined Macfood, he was huge and seldom see the smile on his face

Then, after sharing some of my creation to him, he started to tease me and recently he was judging how those friendly R&D exec had gone 1 after another while the new join fresh grad exec were not that friendly.

I told him that they were new and too shy, and Abang was too fierce, lol. 

Sorry that did not have taken a we-fie with you, I will miss your smile~

Soon after that, I passed the rest of the sweets to Bal at LOC line. My tears was so soon fallen here after saying goodbye to Ina.

I still recalled how Bal, and Ina helped me when I ran my trial at LOC, it was so cold, and I was rather helpless.

Ina was always there for me, teasing me what I need and want to do....complained that I always doing random stuffs =P 

Bal had been very very kind to me, he never ever say no to me. Even he did, it must be something he really couldnt help with it and felt sorry for it.

LOC workers are the team that I missed the most, they recognized me and always gave me a hand. 

Of cause there were time they really couldnt offer me a hand and I need to do thing by my own, but they did keep an eye for me, and tried to help me as much as they could.

I would never forgot the days I spent at LOC, I think no one at R&D spent that long time as me, even Karen would not able to compete the time spending at loc with me.

From the old line to the new line.....all the coldness, the cram on the legs, the crazy sorting days....Thank you, I really master the LOC line now =)

Then, I was told to show Chiam the whole leave romaine status, I was thrown with this new project a week ago, yeah, 2 weeks after I tender.

This was too much for sure, well this company, or i would say the people were well known to take grant of their beloved workers.

I was even rushing for the report on today, but thanks to the training for these 2 yrs, I am able to easily complete a proper presentation report in a very short time.

The exit interview was taken place at the HR office with 2 manager levels ladies around 11, one of the ladies actually treat me like some betrayer of the company.

I left for a reason, so what? You come even later than me, so dont give me this shit because you have no right at all~

Silly question, then dont ask! I dislike my boss, but that's not your right to conclude the reason I leaving. I appreciate more acknowledgement, but not mean than you could transform my meaning and judge how I am. No doubt the company has such a high turnover, thanks to the dumb people who managing the human resource. 

After the stupid exit interview, is lunch time. Today lunch is at Kyochon, and under Ken's. LOL

Ken was kind enough, he was so busy to join us for lunch, but still insist paying our lunch bill. 

Thanks to my greedy boss who interpreted Ken's kindness to me, to the whole R&D team. =S

I also went to chat with Ken and Naomi after lunch. I knew Ken for a very short time, to Karen, he was rather arrogant and over confident, because he actually come from Lee Kum Kee, where's Karen working now.

Perhaps he thought he had jumped into a nice company, and emphasized he was joining Keystone APMEA, rather saying he is joining Macfood.

However, we all knew that he jumped into the wrong ship....which he finally also realized now. 

Nevertheless, it was a wrong decision for him, but to me, Ken was actually very kind to me. Maybe I was useful too?

As for Naomi, she is the company executive director's PA, I knew her through Karen. 

She is a lovely person, even treated me a meal few days ago at Yoshinoya. Though we did not have much counterpart at work, but I appreciate how we spent lunch together sometimes.

I went to lots of places today, from purchasing, to IT, planning, then to inventory, to production and last I also gone to maintenance office.

R&D at Macfood have chances to deal with almost every department,

Eileen, Eve, Angel, Jeffrey and Allan from purchasing involved when we have raw materials issues. 

Eileen was the most helpful one, she helped me so much when I had issue with trial lots arrival at Malaysia from overseas. I still remember we have issues with some trial lots not found and we worked together to find them. 

Eve was new but she was also very helpful to provide all the information needed. She also was shocked when find out i resigned and asked me nt to leave lol. Actually happy to hear that. 

Angel just like her name, she is a cute and bubbly girl and also helpful like an angel~

As for Allan, sometimes he is quite helpful and sometimes not...lol..while for Jeffrey, he also new joined maybe 3 months ago, seldom deal with him much. 

For planning, I like Vanessa the most, she is very effective and never fail to plan my trial as I wished to. 

I just found out today she is same age as me, and also just joined Macfood one month before me. Too bad, we dint know each other in depth earlier.

Aireen is also one of the lady I felt sorry for , she worked so hard for her daughter while for her age now, she should have retired. 

She beat me when I come to say goodbye, saying that I am one of her lovely daughter at Macfood. @@, Take care Aireen!

Inventory side, I missed Au Yeong because he went out. Other inventory side workers like Nanthini, Prema, Loges, Yusri and Razip also helped me lots. 

At IT, Ginseng always come when I asked for help, and I remembered sometimes he came for nothing because of my careless mistake (dint check my pc properly ==) 

Adiriana and Bella also very cute and fun to hang out with~

Hema and Gopi from production would be my best guardian angel. They never reject entertaining my request compared with others.

Gue helped me so much, I still remember my first costing was so hard while he dropped by R&D just to help me to solve the problem =)

Yee Mun, Alvin, Khoo and Min Lun though do not seems helpful, but they actually did not treat me bad. 

People from Maintenance, Mok would be the kindest one to me. He also always give me a hand when I need help or information, though sometimes his info was late lol

Choo though is very frank and rude sometimes, but he actually helped R&D a lot.

I am thankful meeting all these nice people over here!

I also have handed over my company phone, no more free call in the future but yes to no more call when I am absent at my job~ 

The night come very soon, it was almost 5pm, the last person I farewelled was Haizal from QA kitchen, and Abang Hassan from Line 7.

After that, I left Macfood and went to Jibby and Co for my farewell dinner.

Thanks to Wai Ee, she organized this lovely dinner with attendance of almost 30 people. 

My meal was alright, should have ordered something better ==

Of cause, I was asked to give a speech. I thanked all the people at the long table, from Chiam who hired me, I sincerely thank you for choosing me.

I felt sorry for her, it must be very stressful to hold this position as a Director of technical team, but I think she was happy with what she choosing.

For Eyling, I wish you can really handle the team nicely, and maybe changed for a better work culture and performance. Otherwise, hope you leave for other jobs that suit you well ==

Derrick, Wai Ee and Jia Yeen, stay strong and tough for the pride of McD team, and learn as much as possible. 

I am sorry to Derrick, I couldnt help stopping my temper when he did something wrong, but he was so patient and always forgive me. 

Thank you, you had been a happy seed to R&D, your positive and bright personality always shine my day.

Faeezah, truly wish you can find a better job that able to fulfill your dream to convienient you and have more time with your family. 

Thank you, I wouldnt come so far without you, thanks for being my best companion in Macfood.

Jacklyn, Shivania and Wei How, hope you guys able to get a lesson that would make you guys learn and change.

Zura, Kak Siti and Shima, hope you all be more soft to others and have a good life.

To dearest QA team, document side - Si Min, Siti, Siew Li and Pik Ying, thank you for providing us the information whenever we asked for. 

I hope maybe one day in the future, R&D would able to take up all the document, spec files and we no longer need to border you all.

Operation side: Hakimi, Ten, Chia Zhing, Toh, Joshua, Elaine, Kumaran and Aizat...please stay tough! I believe you are the best team ever too as what Alan thought.

Alan is the best guy I appreciated most in Macfood, I even bought him a present! 

He taught me a lot, though he was that busy and sometimes teasing me. He kinda remind me of Sergey, who also taught and teased me lots while I worked under him in Fonterra. 

Maybe Alan did not teach me that much as compared with Sergey, but I can feel the kindness and hearful of him. 

A big hug and ton of thanks!

I did not expect present from Chiam and Alan, I never know I would own a pricy pen one day, though it was not enclaved with my name on it. 

Faeezah, what could i say, you have treated me so well, thanks for your tea and cups. I am indeed a tea person.

I am really blessed and very thankful on how lucky I am, you all proven me to be a nice person who shall be appreciated and acknowledged. Thank you!

i actually having half day today, thanks to the messy clearance of the R&D pallets on Sat~

I was wandering around pyramid after lunch with Naomi, Wai Ee and Derrick at Yoshinoya.

Bought some gifts for the department, basically everyone include the intern will get one except Eying, this show how fair I am lol 

Ilao Ilao is getting famous these days, i heard from Ken that its frozen yoghurt is very good so decided to give it a try~

I accidentally topped up a blueberry topping and this small bowl costed me nearly RM15! 

To be honest, to those who never try frozen yoghurt or yoghurt in NZ or Aussie, I dont judge u, but they are just so so...

it is a frozen version of NZ yoghurt to me and not deserved such a high price because it is not that pricy come on! 

I am sorry for your ambition to creating a yogurt culture, but this mark the last time i ate you, and definitely no insta or fb for this. 

Have celebration for bpeng's birthday tonight at Sherpherdoo, where the girls only group love to go.

No special meal nor special cake tonight, cake are just roughly get from secret recipe, poor girl.

But i guess she doesnt mind? 

Well, my new job was also revealed tonight ==, lots of attention indeed.

Wish me luck with the new adventure, and happy birthday bpeng.

This week is really packed, packed with lunch or dinner catch-up, packed with the remaining work on my side.

Indeed, i would not able to summarize all my ongoing projects, but still kinda need to ensure the handover job is done with clear direction.

Somehow I felt pity to the rest who are still suffering in the team, especially for the new comers like Wai Ee and Jia Yeen.

It must be hard for them to catch up while all the experienced exec and managers had gone, the left over manager is not reliable and hopeless.

So what i could do is to make sure all my remaining job is done as much as I could and handover well to the assigned person.

I had given all the advise I could say, I had taught as much as I could, the rest, good luck!

Back to the week, I would like to post more about food I had during this week.

First, my customer, who can say no longer after next week, Ken from McD's menu team asked me out for dinner.

Do not get me wrong, it was just a simple farewell dinner he would like to treat me as appreciation.

The Japanese cuisine he recommended for yummy Ten-don at Evolve mall indeed is one of the restaurant I would wanna visit. 

The ten don is indeed very nice, the prawn is very crispy but i really think the food is somehow over priced, especially located at a mall which is half dead. ==

It was a good catch up with him, especially discovered a lot of different side of him.

Well, he was always a customer for me who I never thought could get to know as a friend, if i never resign, i think i would not get to know the other side of him.

Then on Wed, I was having lunch with Eileen, my colleague from the purchasing department. 

Somehow we are matched though we seldom have lunch together, but we often come across each other at work.

She treat me a meal at Kyochon which is a Korean cuisine famous with various fried chicken, I also always wanna tried out long time ago since it open at Pyramid.

I wonder why all the good food only come to Pyramid after i resigned? It would be hard for me to return here in the future unless purposely come here for dinner ==

Food actually not bad, but not really very very tasty. 

But i must say it was an enjoyment to dine in here, fried chicken is always attractive isnt it?

Glad to have lunch with Eileen, find out a lot of stories and gossips happened on her. 

I wish she could have better career in the future and it was also very pleased to hear from her that I am a capable and strong women =) 

I will keep moving and keep this momentum~

On Thursday, I did not have dinner, but just have the green tea parfait at the tea concept kiosk at Pyramid.

Again, I also want to try out their dessert since ages, but always missed out due to trying other food ==

I ordered a tiramisu green tea parfait, actually it was just alright, the green tea flavor is not very strong. 

On Friday afternoon, I had lunch with Faeezah at Fresco, the grocerant of Jaya Grocer. 

Brandon used to say Fresco serves good meal, so when think of halal food, without doubt, I brought Faeezah here. 

I got myself the fettuccine spciy lamb ragout, it took them sometime to cook up, but the taste is actually great. 

I have long time did not taste good pasta, so must give a thumb up for this, the sauce is well matched with the pasta, the fettuccine is not too soft, well cooked tho =D

Thought it would be TGIF, nope, i still have to work during my last Saturday at Macfood!

This is actually very wrong, just because someone did not manage the existing R&D stocks well, and the rest of us need to bear the responsibility.

I worked for half day to help clearing the stocks in the freezer, and met up Cheryl for lunch after work at [Yesterday] cafe.

the food options are not little, and the cafe is tiny but with good ambience. 

I have babycino, my first time discover this type of non-caffeine drink. It actually tasted like a hot chocolate to me~

Then, recently i really love to order big breakfast. 

Though big breakfast looks like a simple thing, but it is actually very hard to get a yummy one. 

Big breakfast from [Yesterday] is huge!! Many different sides which are rarely find in big breakfast menu such as chickpeas, sweet potatos, even the salad also surprisingly contains raddish.

Overall not bad, but not really considered yummy. 

Then today, I went to KLCC with Huey Yee, main reason is to buy the Kansai Tru Pass at Isetan event room which only available at KLCC.

We have vietnamese meal for lunch, the food actually not bad, but again, I always say the best one is still the one i got at NZ.

Everytime i have vietnamese meal i will order the  Vietnamese Grilled Pork & Rice Noodles simply because it is refreshing and can judge well if the Vietnamese food is it up to standard.

What i like about this  Bún Thịt Nướng at KLCC Du Viet, is the skewer is more =P, and is 3 types of meat: chicken, lamb and beef. 

But of cause I would be happier if the meal come with the Vietnamese spring roll. 

I also ordered Vietnamese cendol, which is rarely seen on other Vietnamese cuisine, it is actually quite close to Malaysian cendol, difference is they put in jack fruit and mung beans , and it is a drink rather than dessert, also contain more coconut milk. 

We also visited [Chateraise] which is also newly opened 3 months ago at Isetan KLCC, is a famous Japan pastry and cake shop.

All the cake displayed here are directly imported from Japan, which is the best selling point.

I bought the no 1 best selling strawberry legendary fresh cream cake, too bad [Chateraise] is just a kiosk and does not provide dining place.

So ended up I just have this cake at the KLCC park, it is a new experience for me because I seldom have chance to have food at park in Malaysia. 

The legendary cream cake is very fluffy and soft, is like a foam rather than like normal thick and fatty cream we used to have. 

So i dint feel guilty after finished up the whole cream cake. 

The strawberry is a bit sour, but at least they were not coated with another layer of sugary glaze which can tell Japanese really like ordinary and natural food. 

I also bought their daifuku (rice dumpling) which is also very nice =)
