okay, continued with trip yesterday, we woke up not too late this morning.
Of cause, we went for food hunting again, followed Brandon's wish, we went for the famous mamak mee goreng first.
It was not too bad, very different style of mee goreng, somehow I never try this kind of flavor before.
And I really impressed with how Brandon found out all these unqiue food which supposed to be famous?
Well, it was quite crowded too when we arrived at the mamak, but honestly, I wouldnt go for the secound time because it was too pricy and not really very delicious.
After the heavy breakfast, we decided to explore Nagore Square, a new precinct transformed from the heritage of old penang, at the same time, incoporating the cafe culture and artistic design of modern world.
Here is a good place for photo, i guess it would be more popular in future. Luckily we got to explore here =)
We actually wanna tried out the famous har mee here, but we were really very unlucky, we had missed out 4 famous har mee stores (all of them were closed), thought the one at Nagore Square maybe would open and we were so wrong.
Ended up we just have other hawker stores' food, like lor mee, chicken rice, and nyonya kuih
The nyonya kuih is surprisingly very good, very soft, good texture and not too sweet.
I also bought some back home.
Initially, we planned to buy some bakeries at Nagore square, then heading back to home, but Wai Ee would like to explore further.
Luckily we chose to explore further, because we found a very cozy and nice cafe here~
Hidden in an alley, not even owning an obvious sign at the door.
However, once you stepped in, you would be amazed by the vintage style of this hipster cafe revamped from the old heritage Penang building, this is how the old meet the new.
How would you not impressed with their creative interior design, they really well used of the existing space and tranformed such a normal place into a cool cafe.
Too bad we were really full, otherwise I would love to have their cafe style food.
There were not much cake selections, I guess the cafe is more proud of their savoury menu.
Too bad I had to miss out this time =(
I ended up just had a hot chocolate, but the art really failed ==
Hence, I decided to create my own.
Then, even I could do 3D art! lol
We spared almost an hour here, as we worried about the traffic going back home, we decided to make a move.
That's the sum up for our Penang trip, I had a very fun time with all of you and I really enjoyed the trip!
Not sure when 4 of us could gather again because Brandon is heading US soon and he would not back Malaysia in recent years.
So, really appreciate this trip, thank you.
