Today is definitely a good Saturday for me as this weekend would be long!

Thanks to the birthday of Sultan Selangor which falling on Sunday (tomorrow) got replacement on Tuesday, and Monday is Propet Muhamad which is another public holiday. Woohoo!!

I really grateful with the long weekend because I do not own any annual leave for now until next year March so public holiday is so much appreciated~

I went to Mid Valley, oops, to clarify, I drove to Mid Valley today! Yeah, finally able to drive by myself to KL, though is not really KL central.

It mayb not something to be boast of, but I had been terrifying to drive to KL because first, i never familiar with the road, 2nd, my waze is not very stable and sometimes i will lost, last, KL drivers really scary~

Initially I planned to take a KTM, but thank god I listened to Karen's advise and chose to drive.

Arrived very early this morning at the mall, around 9.40am. The traffic was very smooth, and it was actually easy to reach the mall.

Thought i was very early and the mall must be empty but no, there were already quite many people reached such early!

The christmas decor at Mid Valley was not very massive, but good enough if compared with Pyramid's star wars black xmas tree.

20161210_094657.jpg

Today plan mainly was to watch the new released Japanese movie <Your Name> with Karen, because both of us love the Japanese culture and so.

You can check my review of the movie over here, the movie was really good.

Karen arrvied slightly late, around 11am, Antipodean cafe was packed and we gone to another cafe which i been tempting to pay a visit - Plan B.

I am happy to find out their morning menu contains various type of breakfast and also provide a wide range of vegetarian option.

It is always nice to see some difference, hence I gave up the big breakfast which i normally would order and chose the "Magic Mushroom", come with home-made croissant, scrambled eggs and shimeji mushroom.

20161210_105121.jpgIMG_20161210_214333.jpg

The mushroom portion was generous, croissant was also very crispy, only thing i was picky about was the oiliness of the croissant.

They were doing promotion for the juice range, and i picked 'Elderflower Mint Lemonade", love the rich mint flavor but dont u think it was too sweet?

20161210_105629.jpg

Anyway, i enjoyed my early meal and was very excited about the movie which we should have watched after the breakfast.

But I was clumsy and stupid enough to book the wrong date, I accidentally bought the ticket which was showing on yesterday!

It was so shameful when the scan bar appeared "show expired", ARGHHH, how could i!

We immediately lined up and wished we could get another ticket, thank god we were able to, but we only could watch at 4.50pm because the movie at 2.30 and 3.20pm had fully sold out!

IMG_20161212_210143.jpg

The movie indeed receive a big welcome in Malaysia too.

Meanwhile waiting until 4.50pm, we went for shopping, and you would never believe what i had done....

Recently, I had been wanna getting a quality dinner sling bag for myself, and Karen suggested Coach.

I did not regret listening to her, I just couldnt believe I would spend nearly 2K for a bag!!! OMG, what happened to me!!?

20161211_014427.jpg

I told myself this would be a gift for me, and the bag would last long.

First of all, the cross body bag was really attractive to me and immediately caught my eye when the sales lady recommended me. I must said she really had a sweet mouth to able to convince me to get it.

Uploaded an official product photo because I forgot to capture the photo of the bag!

However, somehow I think I indeed very easy to be persuade which was not a good thing.

Mainly because of the sales the store was doing, I actually got 20% discount, and also earned extra freebies like this name card pouch and also a customized bag tag.

20161211_014607.jpg

Another fact that attract me was the word - LIMITED EDITION, sigh, i was such an easy women. The bag actually belongs to the dinky series which I do not really think it was abdorable.

Luckily there was no dinosaur enclaved on the bag, only on the name card pouch tho.

If you think this was just the only thing i bought, you were so wrong, we gone to TOMS and I got another pair of shoes.

Similar like the cross body, I also wish to get myself an alpargatas, a light canvas shoes with good quality,

That;s why I chose TOMS and happenly the shop at Mid Valley was doing some creative activity with the help of the local artists.

So of cause not to miss it, I chose the classic one with Balsam green in color, and it was also discounted for 10%!

20161210_152352.jpg

I was actually very hesistate to get the local artist to design it because the pattern they provided was not really something I like.

Moreover the color I picked was dark and hard to match with other color. After a simple conversation with the artist, I trusted her ability and gave it a try.

Guess what, I also was her first customer! She had been sitting at the corner and waiting customer to buy shoes and design but there were no one.

20161210_152356.jpg

So I am her "god of luckiness" today, because as soon as my purchase, there were more customers when I collected my shoes an hour later.

Look at this, I am happy with design, it was very authentic and I believe I maybe the only one owning it =P

20161211_015245.jpg

20161211_015354.jpg

20161211_015420.jpg

even got cute design on the back. I actually love the concept of TOMS which they have this concept - ONE FOR ONE

With every pair of shoes customer purchase, they will gift another pair of shoes (usually is boots) to the kids of their giving partners serve.

You can check for more info here.

We also gone for some dessert before the movie, gone to Hooi Lau San for the mango dessert.

I ordered the mangory platter just by myself because Karen prefer hot dessert.

20161210_160622.jpg

I dont think I would visit Hooi Lau San again because i think their dessert was over priced, and not really that good.

20161210_160650.jpg

Thought this was cake, but it was ice cream as well, but not really appetizing tho.

20161210_160656.jpg

After the movie, we gone for dinner too.

I wanted to eat bento after watching the Japanese movie LOL, so I picked Manmaru Udon.

I highly recommend this restaurant because their bento was cheap compared with other Japanese restaurant and their portion and variety of side dishes were generous.

20161210_192907.jpg

The sashimi was thick and very fresh, they were served with ice underneath. I personally really like their konjac side dish, it was well cooked =D

I spent the full day at Mid Valley today, and my parking bill costed me RM11! Wow, but i did have a good time.

p/s: actually forgot to turn on my gps on my way to home and get a bit lost, thought was the malfunctioning waze again. Sorry, you were doing good today. Luckily I was all good and immediately turned on gps and tho spent a slightly further way to home. But I am still home. =)

Wow, cant believe it is already DECEMBER!!

Seems like i just celebrated the new year yesterday, and now i am counting down 2017!

I finally got to catch up with Derrick few days ago along with Karen and Pek Shan at Sanook.

This cuisine serves fushion of Japanese and Thai, surprisingly this combination really matched.

IMG_20161204_124523.jpg

Look at the presentation! This is really opening up my appetite, I ordered a chicken teriyaki sushi burger. Instead of french fries, Sanook substitute the evil with grilled corn and frilly fried burdock roots which could be a healthier option.

20161202_193228.jpg

I also ordered a glass of Reddy Reddy Ruby, this is my favourite Thai dessert recently. Turning it into a drink aint a bad decision.

20161202_193257.jpg

Overall the food was not too bad, the service was very good too.

Pek Shan was complaining the red ruby water chestnut and jackfruit dessert she ordered had raw chestnut, and the waitress apologized sincerely and replaced a new bowl for free =D

I was also very spoiled that night, because i bought this!

The Face Shop is having xmas promotion~ I was thinking to get myself facial cleanser and eye gel, ended up to sum up to RM180 (to get the free gift ==) I bought masks and aloe vera gel!!

20161203_001017.jpg

Actually the sale was massive, all items in the shop got 15% sales and some of the items i bought is also having some special sales.

Ended up, I got another facial wash as my gift =D

Then back to work, my boss was off to Europe for business trip followed by personal trip for up to 3 weeks, (really envy, i should have gone with Sze!) and we were very relaxed at work! lol

How still always come to bake some nice bakings, like these abdorable Malay style kuih for sure beating those Malays heart

20161206_170945.jpg

He was saying the color was a bit dull which I agree with, but modern days just let the smart phone fix everything.

Tada!!

IMG_20161206_171510.jpg

Although the strawberry still looks pinky but the effect really shined the photo!

20161207_114444.jpg

Ending today post with the new released red bean flavored Koala March snack, though it was a Thai production but the flavor was not too bad.

Slightly sweet but good try =D

We always say time flies and this year gone so fast every year, while i guess time really dont wait.

Hence I wish to write blog for single day but never get to do it because i am too greedy and wish to do too many stuff in a day.

However, I am on the way trying to blog on time and hopefully could make it happen one day!

November has nearly come to an end, before entering the last month of the year, here some throwback of the past week.

20161117_093259.jpg

McDonald's launched the new breakfast item, which is the local chinese favourite - you char kuih

However, i think it is too expensive, you can simply get a cheaper and better one at the stalls.

Yes, i still eating McD's nowaday, and the frequency of eating it was higher than I used to have in Macfood, just because my Malay colleagues really lovin it!

20161118_200406.jpg

Had sashimi rice bowl at Rakuzen while meeting up Pek Shan and Wai Ee.

We continued our conversation at the bar aroud Oasis square, gossip so much about Macfood and talked about so much thing about guys lol.

I also had completed my baking course after sacrifising my weekend for nearly 3 months.

The institute hold a potluck session on the last day, everyone bought/brought something good for the feast.

20161120_123052.jpg

20161120_123055.jpg

There were so many food, but most of them were fast food. It was too hard for the busy people to prepare nice food.

My awesome team, i definitely will miss the time we spare together, Justin's lame joke, Chery's confident smile, and Song's calmness when facing silly us. LOL

IMG-20161120-WA0000.jpg

And the Nepal Chef, for sure we will miss you ~

IMG-20161120-WA0003.jpg

IMG-20161120-WA0004.jpg

We also got our certificate, now everyone is a part time baker, lol.

Not forgot to mention I also got my new car~ Finally bought a car for myself, but the choice was under my parents.

I never thought of buying any specific brand of car, I do understand the need for me to get a car especially I was driving my mum's and my brother lend his for my mum.

So there is a need of an extra transport in the house.

Dad had been saying to get a car since last year, and i thought i would buy a Pichanto but ended up in 1 random Sunday afternoon, they went into Perdua showroom while I was paying my phone prepaid top up at the convenience store next to the show room.

After I entered the showroom, they told me to get the latest Perdua Bezza! WTH?

Hence, this what i mean, I bought the car just following my parent's wish because I do not know what car is the best for driving and easily to be maintained for a longer life.

20161122_182739.jpg

I chose the brown color which actually looks like dark purple.

Now, need to pay loan for each month for the coming 5 years....hmmm...

Also met Karen last Friday after her return from Osaka. Yeah, she went there 2months after me.

We met at AM: PM cafe, and I got the nice big breakfast.

IMG_20161201_114640.jpg

Nice in terms there were many greens and the combination was really generous. Chili beans, mushroom, cherry tomatoes, tomatoes, sausage, bacon, potatoes.....AWESOME!

Karen also brought me many nice souvenier~

20161202_003608.jpg

She also kind enough to help me get this special edition Starbucks anniversary tumbler.

I whatapps her while she was in Japan, and requested for Kobe version, and it was so coincidentally she was in Kobe that day!

Basically, these anniversary covered all the region in Japan with different design and color for each region.

The series include metal tumbler, plastic customized tumbler, mug, and the special edition of starbuck cards.

It was launched 1 week after my return from Japan! So i was really gutted to miss it, thank god Karen gone to Japan and finally got one for me.

The Kobe version or the Hokaiddo version were the apple of my eyes.

Look at this:

20161202_003741.jpg20161202_003749.jpg

I never bought any Starbuck product before, and this was my first item! The price aint cheap but i always want a quality tumbler and i believe i never regret buying it.

The snack Karen brought also very unique, the mochi was wrapped nicely in a rough paper, but this mochi taste was just alright.

20161202_073643.jpg20161202_073721.jpg

But this dry scallop which she bought at the Osaka local market was really yummy!

20161202_073802.jpg20161202_073832.jpg

It was quite huge and taste good chewing it! Too bad i never see this while i was there!

Last but not the least, How (the new joined sales baker) baked this colorful cookies. I am pretty sure it will get heat for Raya!

Everyone want to be different, even a banana too~

20161102_064436.jpg

Saw this banana in my house, is a love shaped banana and also 2 in 1 banana XD

Would like to share you some of the good baking i done for the past week.

Alfredo, my company export sales representative gifted me this patisserie after he done with the marketing photo.

20161103_154025.jpg

This dessert was surprisingly good, ever thought he actually using all products from Bakels!

I dont really like Bakels' cake product, they are all too sweet, but i think the baker was really expert, he used the combination of filling, crust and mousse cake and bake such a nice dessert.

IMG_20161110_204007.jpg

And look at this, i couldnt believe I able to pipe such a beautiful rose cream!

The one i piped was on the left, while the right was done by the new joined sales representative.

Then, the cake decoration sessions still ongoing in baking class during weekend.

Baked a black forest cake yesterday~

20161112_182849.jpg

Then today, baked chocolate mousse cake! Yummy~

20161113_142239.jpg

But the decoration using cocoa powder on top of the mousse cake was done by the staff in the institute.

This cake was really delicious!

20161113_142252.jpg

Also baked a very rich chocolate garnach cake! Super dense!

20161113_142307.jpg

I also had a catch up with Bean just now at Coffee Origin, felt that their food had dropped quality....

20161113_191920.jpg

Even their waffle was also not as good as before, but I guess for cafe in Klang town area, is considered not too bad.

20161113_201229.jpg

That's all for this week, 2016 is counting down....looking forward for the coming weeks.

Yeah, this was the only marathon I joined for 2016. Too bad, i dint manage to run for 10km which I set up as target last year because the Night marathon I joined tonight was too heat and the 10km was fully "sold out".

I was late for the registration hence only managed to register for the fun run which is 5km.

HuiB said it was kinda waste to travel that far (all the way to Putra Jaya) just for the 5km, but to me, to be able to join night marathon had always been a bucket list, so who cares and I was the one driving all the way not her.

I was so rushed tonight to try to finish all the baking asap at the baking class, but the baking class was taking too long tonight, it only finish around 7pm!

Is alright as I would drive to the venue, and I did. Managed to get a parking and on my way to the gather point, it was raining!

I was telling myself definitely not running in the rain, thank god the rain stopped right before the departure of the half marathon and left a cool breeze in the air.

This time was not the best that i could do, at it did not beat my last record at 45mins to finish 5k.

It took me almost an hour to complete maybe because I lack of training (lack of jogging) recently, and decided to get back to my jogging routine after tonight.

Putra Jaya night view was indeed nice, especially near the lake side

20161112_213727.jpg

20161112_213723.jpg

Leg and muscle were all fine, and the snack pack was not too bad either tho i dont really fancy about them.

I waited for so long for Kok Chin, HuiB and Zhan Yi to finish their half marathon, just for the photo session:
