Kick start September with a dark rich hot chocolate at Seraph Awaken.

kl1.jpg

Have this when Hui Bee, Bee Peng and I went to visit Chyi, she is working part-time during weekend at this famous vintage café in Klang.

IMG_3916.jpg

Then, I also catch up with Carlyn for the last time in KL, we went to Merdeka square.

This is my first time visiting here.

IMG_3946.jpg

kl2.jpg

kl3.jpg

kl4.jpg

I will miss KL a lot!

kl5.jpg

kl6.jpg

kl7.jpg

kl8.jpg

kl9.jpg

kl10.jpg

We also went to KL city gallery nearby, you will be surprised there are so many fun places to visit in our capital.

Somehow, I still wish to return KL after working few years in Singapore. I really don’t see myself staying in that island for long term.

kl11.jpg

kl12.jpg

Lunch was at LOKL coffee co, food was not too bad.

kl13.jpg

kl14.jpg

Then, we continued our outing at Bank Negara Museum, we had been planning to visit this fun place since few months ago.

This museum display more than the history of coins, it had so many fun stuff to interact with.

kl15.jpg

kl16.jpg

The spiral stairs where we always see on Instagram

kl17.jpg

Wish I am rich!

Following that, we finished our day at Tokyo restaurant @Fahrenheit for dessert.

kl18.jpg

The matcha swiss roll is delish, heavenly good!

As for basque cheese cake, I still prefer the original version which is more authentic and creamy.

kl19.jpg

Ooh? Since when McD’s has changed its name?

kl20.jpg

kl21.jpg

Next person I farewell is Karen, we had dinner at a random Japanese restaurant in subang area.

farewell7.jpg

I was really surprised to receive this lovely gift from Karen, such a pretty frame!

farewell1.jpg

Thank you for your sweet gesture, I really like this, and I will keep it nicely in Malaysia.

I also drafted a journal post on this, hehe

farewell8.jpg

Farewell with colleagues again, in a smaller gang, with Maz, Su and Shoei Yeou.

farewell5.jpg

Then another one for dinner, with Poi Yee and Shoei Yeou at Sukiya.

farewell6.jpg

Talking about farewell, I also have another one with Jennifer and Shoei Yeou, I guess Shoei Yeou is the one I have most frequent farewell within this month.

goodco1.jpg

goodco5.jpg

goodco6.jpg

We went to The Good Co, another café at Bangsar where I had been aiming to visit.

Have my favorite acai bowl ~

goodco11.jpg

Shoei Yeou have the nasi lemak, but she said is not that good.

goodco10.jpg

We continued dessert at Nutmeg in Bangsar Village I, cakes here have more variety and looks promising.

goodco7.jpg

goodco8.jpg

goodco2.jpg

goodco4.jpg

goodco9.jpg

I received so many good stuffs this month, Jennifer have gifted me my birthday present in advanced.

goodco3.jpg

goodco12.jpg

Then I also catch up with Wai Ee for the last time before departing to Singapore.

We met at Sunbather café, kinda like this place because of the good vibe and cozy ambient.

sunbather1.jpg

The nice cut of Japanese style sando, omg, so wholesome.

The buckwheat pancake is good too!

sunbather2.jpg

Then we moved to Meet Joe for another dessert.

sunbather3.jpg

I gave a small farewell gift to my soon to be ex-colleagues too, as my usual practice.

farewell2.jpg

Then also have a farewell lunch with Hao, Shoei Yeou also join along.

farewell3.jpg

farewell4.jpg

farewell10.jpg

farewell9.jpg

Then the last farewell is with my high school mates, they also celebrate my birthday in advanced because I will have my birthday in Singapore.

bday1.jpg

bday2.jpg

bday3.jpg

bday4.jpg

Shoei Yeou also made me one sketch book, so touched, this is the first sketch book I received in my life. I had made this for a few friends but never received one from anyone.

farewell11.jpg

farewell12.jpg

Thank you!

Poi yee and Shoei Yeou also have gifted me another birthday present, they are aware of my recent broken powerbank. Thank you!

farewell13.jpgfarewell14.jpg

Another good news this month, my nephew finally born!!

love2.jpg

So grateful to be able to meet you before leaving. You grow well ok!

I will miss my niece very much too!

love3.jpg

Claimed my birthday gift from Laneige, I like their sleeping mask. =)

love4.jpg

I also have more frequent dinner with my family, Dalgabi also has opened in Klang, I just discovered that my niece love cheeses a lot.

love1.jpg

This day finally come, so sad, I will miss my family a lot, if I can choose again, I wonder will I make this decision to leave Malaysia.

But I had made up my mind isn’t it?

This is the room I going to stay for my first month, I would not deny this apartment provided for my first month of stay by my new company is posh.

sg3.jpg

sg4.jpg

sg5.jpg

I will enjoy this first month!!

My first dinner in Singapore is with Kelvin, I think he is quite happy that I finally decide to move to Singapore.

sg6.jpg

Another thing that made me happy is don don donki is very close to where I am staying this first month, I can enjoy all these bentos.

sg1.jpg

sg7.jpg

Ok, I will keep posting many photos, mainly food.

sg8.jpg

This is the soup that my brother kept telling me to try, not bad.

Oh I love mochi! Bought this from Don Don Donki.

sg9.jpg

sg10.jpg

Then Kelvin brought me to this apparently popular Korean restaurant at Tanjong Pagar, food was not bad.

Such a nice mural art.

sg11.jpg

This pizza is good!! (at common coffee@ Upper Thomson road)

sg12.jpg

Bingsu at late night omg, I eating so much on my first month in Singapore.

sg13.jpg

This local style dessert is very unique, combining the Chinese dough (油条) with green bean soup (tong shui), I don’t really enjoy it.

I have this with Pui Yee, my Uni friend, yes, she also has recently moved to Singapore.

sg14.jpg

For sure not missing the local brand Liho, apparently it is very easy to get bubble tea everywhere in Singapore.

sg15.jpg

Kelvin also bought me one, this is another Taiwanese brand.

Oh, I have something to announce too.

I am officially having a relationship with Kelvin since 22nd Sep, so shy to announce this haha

sg16.jpg

Guess what is this? This is HK noodle in Papaya based soup, yes, I mean the fruit.

It is sweet and delight.

sg17.jpg

This is the view from my office HQ at Suntec city, I went there in one of the days in September for some reason. Sitting at my boss seat, oops.

Gardens by the bay, finally have come here!

garden3.jpg

garden4.jpg

garden6.jpg

garden7.jpg

garden1.jpg

garden2.jpg

Also went to Marina bay sands, but food here is expensive.

garden8.jpg

Tiger Sugar milk tea have so many franchises in Singapore, don’t have to bother queueing up, but we did queue a bit.

garden9.jpg

Oh, Gudetama café! Hmmm probably can pay a visit.

garden10.jpg

Coconut drink vendor machine~

bday6.jpg

Another weekend spent at Clark Quay, also is my first visit.

bday7.jpg

Fish porridge is also a must eat in Singapore, most importantly, is very safe as it would not fail your taste bud easily.

bday8.jpg

I mean it, generally Singapore food is not nice if compared with Malaysia.

On the last day of September, which is also my birthday, my colleagues have brought me to this Japanese restaurant to have Japanese style collagen steamboat.

bday3.jpg

This is collagen, extracted from chicken, the broth is so sweet, dense and creamy.

bday1.jpg

bday2.jpg

Portion for 2 persons but so thick and rich which can fit an elephant lol.

bday9.jpg

Then this is a onigiri, but more like a fusion kind.

Yes, there are only 2 colleagues with me at the Singapore office, we are not based at HQ due to our different job functionality.

bday4.jpg

However, to me, this is perfectly fine because I really dislike office politics.

Kelvin brought me to tonkatsu for my birthday dinner, so yummy!

bday10.jpg

We have Lady M for dessert, still so great!

bday11.jpg

bday5.jpg

My manager also gifted me a present, hmmmm, she said I did not have water bottle, so she bought me one. Thank you for being so observative.

bday12.jpg

That’s my happening September. I really miss Malaysia.

Another fruitful and happening month for me because I am departing to Singapore next month. In this case, August become the last full month in Malaysia to me.

aug4.jpg

Bakel’s kitchen have thrown the QA manager, Catherine a birthday celebration, with watermelon. =.=

aug2.jpg

I hope Catherine is sincerely happy with this “creative cake”.

Wo-men group also have another gathering with Thai style hot pot, but the smoke level is killing me. =(

aug1.jpg

We decided to move to another location for catch-up.

Mamak, I have cheese and garlic naan.

aug5.jpg

Meanwhile I also start announcing my departure.

Therefore, I will have many catch-up sessions in August.

aug6.jpg

I told Jennifer during our catch-up at Little People café, another popular café in social media.

aug7.jpg

aug8.jpg

aug9.jpg

aug10.jpg

I think the food was just alright.

My wound is getting healed.

aug3.jpg

I also met Wai Ee at Breakfast thieves @ APW Bangsar, I had been longing for this place for some time.

Their baked egg is yummy!

aug11.jpg

We ate so much that day, we even went to Proof at next door for truffle pizza!

aug12.jpg

And a dessert pizza, omg!

aug13.jpg

This little girl come to visit too, aww, I will miss her so much!

augu1.jpg

Kelvin come back this month too, we had Tsukemen together at Mitsuyado Seimen @ Starling Mall.

aug14.jpg

This is my first attempt for tsukemen, a kind of dry thick noodle to eat together with a special dip sauce originated from Japan.

I like the dip sauce, very thick and flavorful.

Kelvin told me he is a sucker for cake, so I brought him to Rekindle.

aug15.jpg

He is happy that I will join him in Singapore, haha.

aug16.jpg

I also went to Mama Kim for the first time, with Shoei Yeou and Poi Yee, soon to be my ex-colleagues.

They had been addicted to this healthy vegan restaurant by Herbal Line lately.

aug17.jpg

To me, this place is just like Simple Life, provide more fancy but healthy meals.

aug18.jpg

aug19.jpg

aug20.jpg

My family recently also found a Vietnamese restaurant in our neighborhood, their Vietnamese dishes not just authentic, but also come with large portion and reasonable price.

Huey Yee also is one of the friends in my list to catch up this month.

I proposed to meet at the Farm Food craft @ Bangsar South.

This place is a bit fancy, perhaps is more suitable for couples to come for a fine dining occasion.

augu2.jpg

augu3.jpg

augu4.jpg

Food I would say is fresh, rather than yummy.

However, Sunbather Coffee café at the same place is worthy for multi-visit.

Apparently, this place is also counterpart café of Kakiyuki café (formerly known as Kakigori café), but their chocolate roll cake was not as good as their sister café’s match roll cake.

augu5.jpg

The deconstructed feta cheesecake is so innovative and delicious!

augu6.jpg

augu7.jpg

The cheese is rich and perfectly blend with the rose scented ice cream and baklava bits.

Loey come again, haha. We have many good times.

augu8.jpg

Another catch-up, with Li Ting at Les Petits Jours café at Cheras.

augu9.jpg

This café only provides 3 menus daily, their food is more home-made and simpler.

I was amazed with their cakes, simple yet yummy.

augu10.jpg

augu11.jpg

MT from Japan have a small pop up exhibition at Kinokuniya KLCC, I purposely went to visit and had a good time.

augu14.jpg

augu17.jpg

I had been addicted to washi tape since early this year, MT is the pioneer when come to washi tapes but I never have any of their product.

Hence, I took this advantage to see their products.

augu12.jpg

augu16.jpg

They even have gachapon!

Stamp to mark my visit~

augu15.jpg

I am impressed how people can create artwork with washi tapes!

augu13.jpg

In the end, i bought some washi tapes home:

augu42.jpg

augu23.jpg

Of course, I also met up Carlyn in KL, we went to have a very yummy lunch at Chocha Food Store.

augu18.jpg

augu20.jpg

augu21.jpg

augu22.jpg

Their cincalok fried chicken is so crispy and yummy!

augu19.jpg

The braised duck with rice also is irresistible.

augu24.jpg

augu27.jpg

augu35.jpg

Then we went to Lorong Panggung aka Kwai Chai Hong (Ghost Lane) in Cantonese for photo sessions XD

augu25.jpg

augu26.jpg

OOTD photos at this place had gone viral in social media since it had transformed with mural art and packaged with cultural stories.

augu28.jpg

augu29.jpg

augu30.jpg

augu31.jpg

augu32.jpg

augu33.jpg

augu34.jpg

augu39.jpg

Petaling Street was so hot, we went to Vintage 1988 café for a chilled drink.

augu36.jpg

augu37.jpg

augu38.jpg

There are so many nice café along this street, really wish I have bigger stomach to eat all of them.

Another dinner at the neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant.

augu40.jpg

augu41.jpg

Bahn mi and the Vietnamese style rice dumpling dessert.

As mentioned in last month blog post, I will tender once my work visa in Singapore is approved. This had happened in mid-August, my future company had bought me over for 1 and a half month, my last day would be in early September after deducting my remaining annual leaves.

augu43.jpg

Bakels’ sales colleagues had started farewell with me, lol. They brought me to this Puchong seafood porridge restaurant to have such a luxurious seafood meal, thank you!

augu44.jpg

This would be my last banana leave rice too, because I am not a fan of banana leaves, but the occasion of having this had become a lot since I joined Bakels 3 years ago.

Then, this group would be the one I miss the most!

augus2.jpg

augus3.jpg

We had a farewell gathering cum mooncake festival celebration at Derrick’s house.

augus10.jpg

The Malaysia dream card game is so much fun and entertaining!

We even carried the lantern and walked around the neighborhood!

augus1.jpg

augus4.jpg

augus6.jpg

augus9.jpg

augus11.jpg

So funny, as we could not find any stick to hold the lantern, we used hanger XD

I met Li Ting again during end of the month, at Snitch By The Thieves @ Gardens Mid Valley.

augus12.jpg

augus13.jpg

augus14.jpg

Their food is very healthy and yummy, worthwhile to visit again.

Another usual family lunches.

augus15.jpg

Bee Peng’s bday also happening this month, I think probably hard for me to join these celebrations in the future.

augus7.jpg

Guess I probably will miss this scene too?

My colleague, Siti had created this special farewell lunch invitation for me, haha.

augus5.jpg

The farewell lunch at Nando’s went smoothly with my colleagues from R&D and QA department.

augus8.jpg

I gave a speech to thank my colleagues for all the help and support given during my 3 years journey. I think I will miss them.

Then, after so long, I also met my other colleague, Gina for a beer session with dinner.

augus16.jpg

augus17.jpg

We went to a western cuisine at Kota Kemuning, their paella is quite good.

Last but not the least, I brought my family to Petaling street today because I really want my dad to try out the cincalok fried chicken at Chocha food store.

He like it, but I don’t think he is impressed haha.

augus18.jpg

augus19.jpg

We also ordered other food, but is not impressive as the braised duck and cincakook fried chicken.

We also had fried sweet potato ball at Petaling street

augus20.jpg

That’s all for my August in 2019. I will certainly enjoy the last 2 weeks in Malaysia in coming September.

july7.jpg

july8.jpg

Their green curry not bad too.

july9.jpg

Pad Thai was a little too oily and sweet though.

july10.jpg

This fushion sushi is tasty! Very creative ~

july11.jpg

july12.jpg

I also tried out the purple rice yogurt drink as recommended by Yi Mei, from Chizu. So indulgent!

july13.jpg

Another random snack from Simple Life. =)

Curry fish head with vermicelli~

july14.jpg

Poi Yee went to Japan early this month too, look at the souvenir she brought for me =)

july15.jpg

July marked a career advancement for me as I have chances to attend 2 trainings, 1 local and 1 in Singapore.

sg2.jpg

The local training including a buffet lunch =)

Food was alright….

sg6.jpg

But the training in Singapore have better offer, we got to live in a nice hotel, at Hotel Jen Tangelin by Shangarila!

sg1.jpg

sg3.jpg

sg4.jpg

sg5.jpg

First night dinner at Royal plaza, we got a buffet dinner, apparently is well known with fresh seafood. Food was not bad though.

sg7.jpg

sg8.jpg

Breakfast provided by Hotel Jen is also very nice.

Meanwhile, I also have a secret interview during this trip with my future company. Yep, my career advancement is not just with those trainings.

sg9.jpg

Another Lunch box provided during this Singapore training.

Check out the latest IG worthy spot – Jewel at Changi Airport.

sg10.jpg

sg11.jpg

sg12.jpg

First Pokemon store in South East Asia!!

sg13.jpg

sg14.jpg

So wish to bring you home!

sg15.jpg

Then we walked to Terminal 3 from Jewel.

sg16.jpg

Last dinner in Singapore before we went back home.

sg17.jpg

The special show at Changi Terminal 3.

I guess I will have many gatherings starting from this month onwards, first was with Carlyn at the catcher in the rye café.

july1.jpg

july2.jpg

july4.jpg

This café is the counterpart café of Wild Sheep Chase café, where I never been to.

Food was not bad.

july3.jpg

There is even a unique ice cream, with Nijom Pek Pa Gou, the familiar HK herbal cough medicine we used to have since childhood.

Their famous souffle no doubt still highlight the dish of this visit.

july5.jpg

More postcards received this month! Thanks Shoei Yeou~

july7.jpg

july8.jpg

july9.jpg

Have dinner with my brother when dad and mum have their dinner plan~

july10.jpg

july11.jpg

Outing with the crazy madness group, at Fei Fan hotpot, we waited for almost an hour to get a table.

Apparently, their fish cake, fish ball, and shrimp paste are all hand made.

july12.jpg

july13.jpg

Dessert following after the hot pot at the best bingsu at town – Hanbing

Another catch-up with Carlyn at the mall, we had Kyokchun for lunch followed by snow flakes for dessert.

july14.jpg

july15.jpg

I also met up with Karen yesterday at Bangsar after ages, we had brunch at VCR café.

july16.jpg

Their hotcake is not bad,

july17.jpg

But I still prefer the fried chicken with potato waffles.

Then, we also have this delicacy at Namelaka Patisserie. Thanks for the recommendation, Karen.

july18.jpg

july19.jpg

A very creative and refreshing masterpiece

Brilliant~

july20.jpg

You may have wonder why I had so many catch up this month, well, I am official leaving my job and I am heading to Singapore for future career.

It was a very big and struggling decision, but I have decided to do so as I see more opportunities in Singapore.
Of course, my future company is the main reason as they provide me with a good package which is hard to reject.

Well, I am looking forward for the new chapter in life, yet I am really sad to leave my sweet home and lovely family & friends behind.

Hence, I will really treasure the time remain in Malaysia before departure as I still waiting for my visa to be approved, then I will tender. Another challenge, lol.

Can’t believe I receive this again in June, haha thanks to my colleague, he also went to Hokkaido after me, and bought one box of this for me! Omg, I love this biscuit so much and I am a bit surprised because this biscuit is very pricy~

june1.jpg

Another colleague went to Korea and bought these.

june2.jpg

This month also have a lot of dining out experiences, I met with Jennifer at JWC the Depot at Puchong, but their food was not very nice.

But the dessert at Ground Eatery was delicious!

ground1.jpg

ground2.jpg

Maybe the food is not enough for us, so we ordered extra food.

ground3.jpg

I also brought my minion camera because I think I shall use it more often.

ground4.jpg

Furthermore, I went to Popular Book festival this year, with Shoei Yeou too haha.

bookfest1.jpg

Have Pretzel for breakfast also this year, but this year is closer to Raya.

But this time not having lunch at Nando’s, we chose Japanese.

bookfest2.jpg

bookfest3.jpg

This is what I had bought during book fest this year~

bookfest4.jpg

Same as last year, I collected the bookmarks too.

bookfest5.jpg

And more washi tapes. Haha

bookfest6.jpg

I also met up Huey Yee this month at Awesome Canteen @ Taman Paramount.

fluff1.jpg

fluff2.jpg

Food actually not bad though.

Reason I chose to meet up at Taman Paramount also because I want to try out another dessert shop nearby – Fluffed!

fluff4.jpg

Had been longing here for soooo loooong!

fluff3.jpg

This place is so tiny and packed!

fluff7.jpg

We tried out their famous lychee cake, of course not miss out their signature waffle.

fluff6.jpg

I found the best waffle in Malaysia!

fluff5.jpg

This is amazingly delicious!

Dragon boat festival also falls in this month, I had rice dumpling~

dumpling.jpg

I also met up Kelvin early this month at Mid Valley for the Pokemon movie.

We had ramen at Ippudo, still so good!

hoshino1.jpg

Then we also had dessert at Hoshino coffee, I just found out this place is so famous, we waited for half an hour to get a table.

hoshino2.jpg

Overall their drinks are alright, but the souffle cake is good.

hoshino3.jpg

Date with Carlyn this month is at the Selfie Museum in KL, check out this post.

A random dinner with Shoei Yeou at the new chapter café at One City, well their creamy based pasta is nice, but definitely not the waffle.

owl1.jpg

owl2.jpg

More incoming postcards this month, also from Shoei Yeou.

owl3.jpg

owl4.jpg

owl5.jpg

I also started bujo-ing more frequent from this month onwards, otherwise the washi tapes are a bit pointless.

Met up with Wai Ee at Breadfruits, their pasta really nice.

breadfruit1.jpg

breadfruit2.jpg

Dessert at Mykori, I been here once few years ago, happy that they actually developed more innovative dessert

breadfruit3.jpg

This is yogurt bowl! Wholesome and healthier dessert option =) Taste great too.

I also went to Jumpstreet Asia for the first time, Wai Ee had been involved in this vigorous activity for sometime, is really exhausting!

jumpstreet1.jpg

jumpstreet3.jpg

But after sport went for dessert again as Fluffed is nearby hahaha

jumpstreet2.jpg

Dessert for dinner! Their other flavours also very upstanding! Hope I can try out all of their varieties.

jumpstreet4.jpg

A common dinner with my family, look at the huge fish =P

june1.jpg

The vegetarian nasi lemak at Simple Life, my mum really like to dine in there.

june2.jpg

Alfredo’s and Mr Goh’s farewell, Alfredo decided to resign and back to Philippines to setup his own business while Mr. Goh also left Bakels after working for so many years.

We have farewell at Shell Out.

shellout1.jpg

shellout2.jpg

shellout3.jpg

Kelvin came to Klang to find me too after we dated for the Pokemon movie early this month.

june3.jpg

june4.jpg

Went to this dessert shop, as I googled that Klang have this nice burnt cheese cake.

Overrated for sure. Haha moreover this place is so rural!

I also went back to my high school after almost 10 years, dad bought some canteen day vouchers so I have to spend them. =)

school5.jpg

Found this historical record!

school1.jpg

school2.jpg

My school really expand a lot.

school3.jpg

Hui Bee and Yimei also with me.

school4.jpg

We had luxurious lunch for my dad’s bday at a Chinese restaurant. The fried rice is so yummy!

dad1.jpg

Dad come for this special promotion – cheese baked lobster, but I think the cheese is over-powering.

Well, my niece enjoy the meal.

dad2.jpg

dad3.jpg

My aunt baked a cheese jello cake for my dad too, so yummy!

Random homemade dinner by mum when dad was not around.

noodle.jpg

I went to KL by my own during end of June, I am addicted with acai bowl recently. Wai Ee told me La Juiceria have nice acai bowl, so here I am.

kl3.jpg

Indeed delicious, but so pricy, cost me nearly RM25!

Spot the buzzlightyer and Woody!

kl4.jpg

And the Ironman!

kl2.jpg

kl5.jpgkl6.jpg

Agree! Found this artistic place inside Fahrenheit88

Purpose I come to KL was to meet another online friend (CMB bagel), he introduced me to go J’s Gate Dining at Lot 10 before, but this was our first meet up.

We went to the Japanese restaurant he highly recommended - Osaka.

kl7.jpg

kl8.jpg

kl9.jpg

kl10.jpg

kl11.jpg

The food at Osaka restaurant was really yummy!

Dessert is at Torikin, another Japanese restaurant under J’s Gate.

kl1.jpg

I always want to try this kind of matcha tiramisu, omg, so good!

kl12.jpg

So as the dango! This is memorable!

fuji.jpg

I also bought up something during that KL trip, as the Fujifilm store will be relocated so they had further sales.

One of my usual lunch – tosei.

pottery1.jpg

Last event in June – pottery class with Shoei Yeou!

We went to the Bear Pottery Studio at Cheras, attending the wheeling and kneading class.

pottery3.jpg

This place is smaller than I expecting, but is well equiped with all the tools.

Items displayed here are very attractive too.

pottery2.jpg

My favourite totoro! Hopefully one day I can make this too.

pottery8.jpg

pottery9.jpg

We did wheeling, this is very challenging! I think I also wore the wrong outfit.

pottery4.jpg

pottery5.jpg

This required lots of strength but if I applied too much strength will easily ruined the bowl too.

pottery6.jpg

My teacher definitely helped a lot on them. The class duration was only 2 hours, very intense and honestly I do not think we get to learn much.

pottery7.jpg

This is the bowls I tried to make, in the end we chose the best one to bake but without painting.

I did some final touch up with carving my name on it. =)

pottery10.jpg

pottery16.jpg

pottery17.jpg

After our huge effort being paid up, we went for the Toy’s story 4 movie and dinner @ The Mechanic.

pottery12.jpg

pottery13.jpg

pottery14.jpg

pottery15.jpg

Honestly, I think food here was just ok, the fame perhaps is from the minimalist interior which kept popping up on Instagram.

That’s my summary for June. See you July!

Today was really fun, I guess girls still like being photogenic, love to take photos.

May is all about celebration, so many people birthday this month.

First, Yi Mei house warming party. She moved to a new house in Bukti Tinggi 2 after marriage, it is a nice house.

Believe or not? We are all playing Pokemon go…lol

may1.jpg

Received souvenirs from Japan! Thanks KC~

may2.jpg

First person who have birthday is Jennifer, I also celebrate her bday for the first time as we knew each other less than a year.

But because of her out going personality, we matched very well.

We had dinner at 103 coffee workshop, generally the food was not bad and portion given was very huge too.

Omg, the chicken karaage is so crispy.

jenbday2.jpg

I have the pork chop with onigiri, the pork is very tender.

jenbday1.jpg

Happy birthday Jennifer!

mayfood1.jpg

Family mart launched a new product – honeydew soft serve…mehhhh

mayfood2.jpgmayfood3.jpg

Evening shot.

All-time favorite – Klang bak kut teh

mayfood4.jpg

After almost 3 years, dinner at Le Panossia. I think maybe they just only have good beef steak don, I should have ordered the same food.

mayfood5.jpg

mayfood6.jpg

The second famous brown sugar bubble milk I tried, Xing Fu Tang.

mayfood7.jpgmayfood8.jpg

I still prefer The Alley though.

Met up with Kelvin this month as well, he come to Klang this time though.

We went to Central city mall, have very good Korean fried chicken =D

mayfood9.jpg

This Thailand brand also has come to Klang, I had the butterfly pea soft serve.

mayfood10.jpg

Regular lunch I have with my family.

mayfood11.jpg

Caught detective Pikachu! Oh I watched that movie too, so adorable~

mayfood12.jpg

One of the happiest day this month, Wann Zhen back in Malaysia!

stranger7.jpg

stranger8.jpg

I brought her to Stranger@47, she was amazed that Malaysia have good café.

stranger1.jpg

We ordered a limited-ed crepe, nasi lemak crepe

stranger2.jpg

here are so many nasi lemak themed food recently.

I also tried the Korean Fried Chicken crepe, omg so good.

stranger3.jpg

This was my first time dine in at Stranger@47 for dinner, usually I drop by for brunch.

Therefore, I always miss out their Cajun Chicken, just found out they did very good Cajun chicken.

stranger6.jpg

Crispy and tender!

stranger4.jpg

I finally able to try the matcha crepe too, indeed better than the lemon one.

stranger5.jpg

Their lava cake is surprisingly good too!

may1.jpg

Shoei Yeou had gifted me my birthday gift too, super in advanced.

Or I shall say, I chose the gift as she was addicted to online shopping recently and she kept send me the link of certain product. =.= She said she want to give me birthday present in advance.

Honestly I don’t like anything that she sent to me (as in the product link)

So in the end I just simply pointed this starbucks tumbler, well, the price is not too high so I think is a good solution to stop her kept sending me links =P

may2.jpg

Have the Alley again this month with Scheen, before she departed for cruise again.

I also finally complete the kpop dance of <Kill this Love>

Oh I joined this kpop dance class since early March, simply because I love kpop dance. I have quit yoga for some time and thought that I shall join some physical activities.

Kpop is not easy!

dineout1.jpg

Went for outing with Shoei Yeou at Sunway area, mainly to watch the IMAX version of <End Game>, had lunch at Food by Fat Cat café.

dineout3.jpg

Followed by a Korean bingsu too.

apr2.jpg

April kick-started with Pokemon Go event, I caught the Pikachu =)

apr1.jpg

Took RSPO training at work, so complicated!

Sky still bright though~

apr3.jpg

I finally met up Kelvin, an online friend who knew more than half year ago, we had been chatting on Whatapps almost every day. We had dinner at Cor Blimey, apparently serving authentic UK style fish and chips. He also is heading to Singapore for career development end of this month.

apr4.jpg

The fish and chips were quite normal, but I like the mushy peas and also how the chips paired with malt vinegar. Kelvin said this is very UK style.

apr5.jpg

I also finally have the alley brown sugar milk, I must admit, this is good!

I chatted a lot with Kelvin that night, I kind of convinced to go Singapore now to further my career; somehow, I do feel like I am stuck in my comfort zone at the moment. Let’s see how it goes~

apr6.jpg

Shoei Yeou posted me these 2 cute post cards, too bad the Minion was contaminated =(

fire1.jpg

Oh I was proposed to be the fire warden of QA/R&D department =.=

fire2.jpg

fire3.jpg

fire4.jpg

We had a fire drill exercise this month.

april3.jpg

What a large mushroom I found outside my house!

Went to Stranger@47 again, I really love their crepe.

april1.jpg

But surprisingly I found their sweet crepe is not as impressive as their savory crepe, I should have insisted on matcha crepe.

april2.jpg

The famous uncle Lim fried chicken has come to Klang!

april4.jpg

april5.jpg

But I never eat it even when I was working at SS13.

Cendol from Uncle Peoh restaurant is nice.

april6.jpg

I went fish & co for the first time because Elsa, our ex-intern has visited KL and we had a small and quick gathering there.

april7.jpg

april8.jpg

Their portion is quite ok, but better come here when there is promo.

Sakura team finally decided to dine out, lol. Poi Yee, my colleague kept singing the Sakura song lately, so we had created a whatapps group named Sakura. =.=

We had an in advanced celebration for Poi Yee birthday at the Korean BBQ buffet restaurant at Damen mall, USJ.

april9.jpg

Food was good, and we ordered way too much!

april10.jpg

Carlyn and I have gone to KL city centre to explore during the weekend.

petaling2.jpg

petaling8.jpg

Such a long time I have never come to Petaling street aka China town.

I finally come here, Merchant Lane, another insta-worthy café list ticked.

777b9863-5322-4389-b07b-4cb18936f2d6.jpg

We shared a breakfast, a limited-time nasi lemak menu, aptly named nasi lemak pancake.

petaling3.jpg

petaling4.jpg

petaling5.jpg

It is delicious! I will come back again!

Reason we did not order more because we would love to try other cafes too.

petaling6.jpg

Then we gone to Chan She Shu Yuen Clan Ancestral Hall, being member of Tan family, I am proud to be here =)

The weather was so hot, we just couldn’t stop eating.

petaling7.jpg

Went to have tao fu fa, so refreshing~

We continued walked to temple nearby, pray that both us can find our lover soon~

petaling9.jpg

I also visited Pasar Seni for the first time, there are quite many artistic products selling there, but not really very traditional.

petaling10.jpg

petaling11.jpg

Since we did not have a full meal this morning, we went hungry soon, and have late lunch at Petaling Street Heritage House.

petaling15.jpg

petaling20.jpg

Initially planned to visit their museum display part, but it was closed for construction…. So we just have the meal experience over there since they served different Chinese specialty meal.

9446ace8-fc0b-4679-935a-f55fbfd0aa01.jpg

petaling12.jpg

petaling13.jpg

petaling14.jpg

petaling16.jpg

Being a Teochew, I ordered the Braised duck meal set while Carlyn have the Hainanese porkchop. I would comment the duck not bad but the pork chop not very nice.

petaling17.jpg

petaling18.jpg

petaling19.jpg

Oh I also bought a rattan bag at Petaling Street~ Just found out the rattan bag here is way cheaper than Thailand, and have more design options.

petaling1.jpg

Same Saturday, Loey come to join us for dinner at a Japanese restaurant.

april1.jpg

She also bumped into the event at The Alley next door. So excited to take photo with the bears.

april2.jpg

I also went to Shell Out for the first time, with my beloved colleagues.

april3.jpg

Indeed. Let’s eat!

april7.jpg

april4.jpg

The taste is nice, but portion size is so small~ A bit pricy…

Malaysia’s sakura season come again~ Keep blooming~

april5.jpg

Somehow, I quite like the vege curry at Simple Life.

april6.jpg

Recently, I also have started playing the gudetama cooking game. But just plainly because out of boredom, I need to clarify I am not a fan.

IMG_9216.png

Met up Kelvin again, he lost so much weight after gone to Singapore for like 2 weeks?

We had Mexican dinner at Thyme out, still not disappointed. I tried out the quichiladas for the first time, omg, so nice.

april9.jpg

april10.jpg

aha, I brought Kelvin to Chatto too, he immediately fall in love with this local bubble tea brand.

april11.jpg

It was a fine Friday, I went to Absolute Thai for lunch with my colleague. Just found out their food quite nice.

april12.jpg

Ice cream after lunch~

april13.jpg

Avengers final! That day has finally come. Thanks to Suki, I got to buy the movie ticket at the same time donate to charity. Suki’s husband organized a charity event, they rented a few cinema halls in One City mall and the fund will go to the orphanage house

6a1ba80e-c2d2-4b78-90ba-dc4469e1e11b.jpg

IMG_9322.jpg

Have breakfast before the movie, it had been a while, toast.

IMG_9321.jpg

endgame2.jpg

The movie is fantastic, Carlyn and I went to Next Chapter café for lunch.

endgame4.jpg

endgame5.jpg

Once again, I prove that they only did well in creamy pasta, this pasta I ordered failed.

endgame3.jpg

Even with the lime juice still very dry.

Their waffles also just ok, only because we have no other options, otherwise I really would have gone somewhere.

endgame6.jpg

We had so much fun that day, just didn’t feel like going home. So we went to KTV, it had been a while since my last session.

endgame7.jpg

Got a Paris room at Loudspeaker KTV.

That’s all for my April, looking forward for next month because I am going to Japan!

mar1.jpg

mar2.jpg

Begin March with good food, have this awesome ramen at Ippudo, Sunway Pyramid with the crazy madness group.

mar3.jpg

I also finally visited Family Mart for their famous tom yum fish cake.

I tried this before when visited Nancy at hospital, but not having them all by my own. Since then, I have falling in love with this!

mar4.jpg

This shitake mushroom crisp is so delicious! This was given by my cousin, she bought from Sydney~

roadshow6.jpg

roadshow7.jpg

March most important highlight is the Bakels roadshow, there are so many nice cakes~

roadshow3.jpg

We had a rehearsal the day before the road show. Gathering at the mixed rice shop before departing to Starhill Gallery KL, the venue of the road show.

roadshow5.jpg

I took this while sitting at Poi Yee’s car.

Our road show took place at the top level of the hotel, this was also my first time been here.

roadshow1.jpg

roadshow4.jpg

This is the R&D section~

roadshow2.jpg

roadshow9.jpg

My developed product – Japanese cheese cake.

roadshow8.jpg

All the preparation paid out, what a great show!

Hao brought me to a Japanese restaurant close to Atria Mall to celebrate the success of the event, food was yummy.

mar5.jpg

I also met Karen this month, we have poke-bowl at the fish bowl.

mar6.jpg

Food was quite good, just a little pricy.

Chatto is still as good as it is.

mar7.jpg

Another important date of the month – Maz’s wedding and Fami’s wedding, 2 weddings in one day, must be a good date.

wedding2.jpg

I did not get to take photo with Fami as we were rushing to Maz's wedding and Fami was busy with his ceremony.

wedding1.jpg

wedding3.jpg

wedding4.jpg

We also celebrated Jia Chyi birthday this month, thanks to her suggestion, we finally leave Klang, this time we had dinner at Taman Paramount.

chyi3.jpg

We had shoduko’s Japanese curry rice for dinner, portion is huge!

chyi4.jpg

Their pudding is good too!

Then, we went to Kakigori next door, hooray! I finally come here!

chyi1.jpg

The green tea roll cake just as what Chyi described, felt like dancing everytime she had the cake, taste awesome!

chyi2.jpg

klang1.jpg

Carlyn also has finally come to Klang to visit, I brought her to bkt for sure, followed by afternoon tea at Seraph Awaken.

82c0482a-3f39-4bc1-bf6f-4e0f83a62d18.jpg

klang2.jpg

klang4.jpg

I love this café, although there is no air-conditioner, but really like how they utilized the historical shop and down-to-earth décor.

Not many options for me as I am not coffee-drinker, but they do have non-caffeine drinks and cakes from BlackStone house apparently.

The avocado cheese cake was not bad, but I doubted I will order their cakes again.

klang3.jpg

Maybe I am biased, cakes from Blackstone cake house apparently are not that fresh.

hsewarm5.jpg

Souvenir from Korea, thanks Janet, my GM! She said this is an appreciation for the road show =S

hsewarm4.jpg

Visited Next Chapter: the owl café at one city with Shoei Yeou and Jennifer, I like here as this location has much less people.

They actually did good job for creamy based pasta, waffle depends on people, personally I still think their waffles are not crispy enough.

kl3.jpg

Jennifer also gifted me a small pack of stationaries

I realized I have many events this month, Pek Shan also hosted a house warming party!

hsewarm1.jpg

hsewarm2.jpg

hsewarm3.jpg

We had so much fun~

hsewarm6.jpg

Pek Shan baked the pizza, and also grilled fish with her special curry sauce brought all over from Melaka.

hsewarm7.jpg

Water melon juice with rice wine, what a brilliant idea! Thanks derrick!

hsewarm8.jpg

I also went to Matta fair for the first time with my family. Parking aint easy, super crowded here!

Mum and I have bought a travel package with Apple travel this time, we are going Hokkaido in May!!! Hooray!

kl4.jpg

Look at the stuff I brought back from Matta fair!

Dad will not follow because he said he would be busy =.=

kl2.jpg

We had rakuzen Japanese for lunch. KL standard is better in terms of the freshness of the raw fish

I also had met up an online friend this month, he suggested going to the National Planetarium after lunch.

Well, KL is somehow far to me, so I actually arrived at KL central way earlier, and I even went to watch the movie <Us> by my own!

kl5.jpg

Lunch was a kebab from Stuff’ed. Taste was ok, but the movie was good.

There’s nothing much at the National Planetarium, I think it is way too small, and nothing much to see.

Then he brought me to the National Monument, this is eye-opening.

81cb97bc-6cb4-47f9-9387-536a400d5c4c.jpg

I always see this statue from TV or history text book, but this is really the first time I see it.

e9c4a6b5-8a52-4ac3-b598-2ede421b8d78.jpg

kl1.jpg

As mentioned earlier, March have so many events.

yimei9.jpg

yimei12.jpg

yimei13.jpg

Yi mei wedding is also happening this month!

I have also broken my principal being a bridesmaid for more than 3 times, just for Yi Mei.

yimei5.jpg

yimei10.jpg

This time the theme for the bride maids is sporty! Because both bride and groom knew each other from the basketball court.

This is so cute!!

yimei4.jpg

The “food” we prepared for the gate crushing game, I fried the doughnut using my company shelf life test samples lol, and injected wasabi in it. =O

yimei2.jpg

yimei11.jpg

At the gate crushing....

yimei8.jpg

yimei14.jpg

Then is time to catch the bouquet~

yimei6.jpg

yimei7.jpg

Dinner was on the same night, tiring….

yimei1.jpg

yimei3.jpg

yimei15.jpg

yimei16.jpg

I also have great catch up with Wai Ee, she brought me to this Indian fine restaurant, Flour, at Damansara Height~

loey1.jpg

The mango lassi is so good!

loey2.jpg

So as the meal!

The nasi biryani with tandoori, omg, delicious!

loey3.jpg

I also had tried out jogging another path from Taman Rakyat this month.

loey4.jpg

And have very fun time with my niece, Loey.

So cute!

loey5.jpg

loey6.jpg

loey7.jpg

loey8.jpg

That's all for March, what a happy month!

From now on I will write my blog in a summary of month form, reason simply because I am getting lazier, and I will save time to do something else =D

Unless there is a valid reason to write a separate blog post, for example: travelling or big event. Otherwise, I will just summarize my monthly activities in one post.

This month was fruitful and load with lots of madness =S.

After travelling back from Melbourne, it was Bakel’s Annual Dinner. I would have attended with joy and fun, but I had another car crash in that morning.

Terrible, I ran into motorcyclist without notice until there was an iron plate scratching sound appeared after I U-turn.

I supposed it was a usual morning, but slightly unusual as I went to work earlier to get McD’s happy meal at Putra Height before heading to office.

Blame this innocent Pikachu (on the left), blame my friend, KC, oh well, he gifted me something i like from Japan (on the right), the Snolax gachapon.

IMG_4856.JPG

The motorcyclist was hurt, for the first time, I sent someone to clinic, but very grateful I did not need to send him to hospital. His wound was mostly on surface, but I had to pay a large number of bills for his badly damaged motorcycle. I still highly doubting he own the motorcycle as he strongly refused going to police station or claim through insurance. I paid almost 2k, this was the 5th accident I encountered this year.

Well, apart from the awful accident memory, the annual dinner went well.

IMG_4901.JPG

I dressed up with baju kurung first time in my life, and just put on a simple make up. Nancy had arranged makeup artist and hairdresser to set her hair, a bit overwhelming for me.

449e1998-7967-4b11-a812-717a33a0d871.jpg

ILEK0435.JPG

But you can tell the difference, they looked amazing.

Poi Yee also won the best dress of the night, congratulations!

HDND5928.JPG

I travelled a lot in December, went to Singapore on leisure purpose for the first time, and also Malacca for Pek Shan’s wedding.

IMG_5476.JPG

My QA manager gave all of us a Christmas socks with movie voucher, what a pleasant gift for celebrating 2018.

IMG_5837.jpg

Mum cook my favourite tang yuan on the winter festival, this is one of the traditional food I insist eating every year during this time.

I have a run with my high school classmates at the botanic park, I think this is the first time I jogged with them because I usually prefer to run on my own pace. This park is really huge, but I still prefer to run at Taman Rakyat as I do not need to drive to the park. However, once in a blue moon, is good to gather with them for different activity.

IMG_5969.jpg

Moreover, I also met Sia Yen and Ee Shan after so long, Ee Shan back in Malaysia for a vacation. We had a short yet fruitful gathering at Bangsar.

IMG_5959.jpg

Cakes from Cafe - Meet Joe actually quite indulgent.

IMG_5958.jpg

IMG_5956.jpg

IMG_5921.jpg

I also went to Pavillion with Shoei Yeou to see the fantastic Disney Christmas décor.

IMG_5925.jpg

IMG_5887.jpg

IMG_5902.jpg

I received many souvenirs this month too, mainly because December is a peak travelling season, many of my friends had gone to travel.

I also received a post card from a so-called “friend” who I met via dating app when he travelled to Sri Lanka.

IMG_5481.jpg

My closest colleague in Bakels, Shoei Yeou also brought me lots of souvenirs from Korea (I paid for most of it). I was so excited for her first trip in life, and also waited long enough for her to come back with my presents =P.

IMG_5807.jpg

I am obsessed with Little Prince, so Jennifer (Shoei Yeou's cousin) who went to Korea with Shoei Yeou also bought me the Little Prince file and note book.

The 2019 Little Prince diary was bought on my own purchase when Shoei Yeou lure me via whatapps photo during her trip.

IMG_5808.jpg

Then these are the postcards they get for me when they visited Petite France in Seoul. I went there before but I didnt get the postcards.

IMG_5811.jpg

This umbrella also paid by myself, is from Daiso with Mickey pattern on it.

IMG_5817.jpg

Gachapons from Korea~

IMG_5810.jpg

Never forget to ask my friend to buy Korean facial products for me.

IMG_5815.jpg

IMG_5814.jpg

This is souvenir from Shoei Yeou, from Jeju island.

I also requested her to buy a lot washi tapes this time from Daiso Korea.

To note, my washi tapes collection is reaching max, I think I really need to strongly consider stop buying them.

IMG_5819.jpg

Scheen had back in Malaysia too, she brought me some chocolate this time.

IMG_5852.jpg

Jia Chyi had travelled to Hong Kong, and she brought this famous Chef Nic’s cookies for me, I think it was just ok.

IMG_5867.jpg

Yi Mei also went to Taiwan for her wedding photo-shooting, I really love this postcard she posted to me.

IMG_5871.jpg

Last is the souvenirs from Japan, thanks KC!

IMG_4850.JPG

That’s how I spent my last month in 2018 =D

I couldnt find any title describes current me better, I am like back to school again, obsessed with all these modern stationaries..

Yes, I used the word - modern, because in the old days, I am pretty sure i did not that such luxurious chances to explore with all these.

Just like what I had earlier this month, I joined a modern calligraphy workshop with my colleague, Siew.

I never explore this area in the past 30 years for sure, in fact, I just discovered this like less than half year ago and learned to write such thing in the workshop for my first time.

I do know about the kind of writting style, but not really sure if there is a rules to write...well after that workshop, i still feel...LOST...

Hmmm not that the workshop is not effective, actually the teachers were very patient to teach, just this is something that need to keep practicing and I really doubted if i willing to spare my free time to practice.

I had this workshop at The Craft Co, in a big terrare side corner house in Bangsar, learned to know this place through my ex-intern and the host organized various types of workshop.

IMG_3349.JPG

Class size was quite big, around 20 plus of us, and there were like 3 teachers...

IMG_3350.JPG

The way they taught us to clean the nips of the pen was quite interesting, potato indeed very useful!

IMG_3353.JPG

With the learning sheet, it seems pretty easy to catch up, but believe me, it was so hard to control the pen, or precisely, the nip and the special ink. =.=

It was grateful that lunch was provided from the workshop tho it was very limited and somehow you have to grab them fast as it was served in a buffet basis but with no refill...hmmm...

IMG_3355.JPG

Food was catered by Ojo coffee cafe. a cafe nearby, i heard the name before, but the food was just...ok, but guess is hard to try from this kind of serving.

IMG_3357.JPG

Also learned that there was also colors ink, but writting on the sandy fragile paper was even harder, the nips just tends to tear the paper apart.

I could conclude that among all the workshops I have attended so far, this was the hardest!

PLVS7660.JPG

I love to fully utilize all the chance i have when come to food, since i was at Bangsar, mind as well I just visit cafes nearby as there are plenty of them here!

In the end, I chose Nutmeg, located inside Bangsar village shopping mall, easy to park my car is a plus point.

IMG_3362.JPG

Their signature breakfast comes with fried chicken was tempting, and they still serving it during dinner time. Food was not bad, well hard to screw big breakkie as I said more than once.

Hard to judge if is a good or normal one for this cafe food, but they have various types of fancy cakes, so shall be not too bad.

Will I come again? Hmmm unless I have no other choices around, but there are heaps.

IMG_3369.JPG

another colleactions added to my stationary drawer~

Reason I placing the title of back to school also because recently I kinda back to age while schooling, buying plenty of stickers and different colors of pens.

It had been a while since i shop online (referring to the massive chinese taobao website), and it was always through friends.

But this time is not entirely through friends, as I get help from my high school mate to place the order via certain link and the stuffs finally arrived after nearly a month!

IMG_3423.JPG

Plenty of stickers...stamps, and new things that recently added into my list - washi tapes....hehe

IMG_3588.JPG

I also bought them from D.I.Y, reason was I had started writting bullet journal, that's why I said I seems like back into school time, I remember i like to write those stuff so much.

Is this a bad thing? Nah, I dont think so, because this is a way to record life isn't it?

So fast October has come to the end, my october was fruitful, had lots of good food and good time.

First with Jing Leek's wedding early this month, sooner or later most of my classmate will got married....

ALAM0074.JPG

IMG_4452.JPG

Then following by a fine day hang out with Wai Ee at Kenny Hill Bakers, a place that i always wish to visit.

There are so many yummy bakeries here! The brunch menu also look tempting!!

Wai Ee is always a small eater, she just ordered a croissant, tiramisu and coffee, while I had a peach struddle and also a quiche.

IMG_3205.JPG

The peach struddle really yummy~ There are so many options to try, but this one really caught my eyes.

IMG_3206.JPG

Tiramisu was just alright, not really can remember the taste too.

IMG_3207.JPG

My quiche was served slightly later, not that great as I thought tho, really missed the quiche i had in NZ.

IMG_3209.JPG

I felt the quiche is not fluffy and soft, the pastry is a bit hard and dry...

But overall i have a good time here, is a good place to spend a lazy afternoon.

Then i also learnt some hair binding technique from my classmate, didnt know it can be so easy~

IMG_3225.JPG

Well the technique seems easy, but not easy to pick up, more practice is needed.

IMG_3229.JPG

IMG_3236.JPG

I also met up Carlyn to watch <a star is born>, it was a nice movie, stay tune for my review.

We met very early and had a simple breakfast at Taiwanese snack house, Shilin.

IMG_3278.JPG

Lunch was at An Vietz, we shared this lemon grass tea..

IMG_3279.JPG

also have popiah as entree...

IMG_3280.JPG

The porky claypot i had is not bad too.

IMG_3281.JPG

It's been a while i have nadeje, but still i think it is overpriced, and i think lady M's crepe cake is far more better.

IMG_3282.JPG

But once in a while with Nadeje still not too bad~

This is becoming a habit, nowadays I rather gather all the food photos and blog them in one post, i guess my lazy gene is functioning real well.

So obviously September is my month, and I can foresee there will be more food in the coming up.

sep1.jpg

sep2.jpg

Mum and dad went to bangkok for a short trip end of last month, and left only my brother and I who need to settle meal by our own which is rather unusual.

Well, i guess i become the responsible sister who bring my little brother for all the good food, lol

We had korean at Todam, Klang is lacking good korean food, for sure.

sep3.jpg

After passing by this cafe few times finally able to try out - Food by fat cat....they serves good varieties of don though.

sep4.jpg

On the same day having food by fat cat, i attended a seminar with Chyi, discussing about the passion to pursuit dreams....wonder where is mine...

sep5.jpg

sep6.jpg

sep7.jpg

Then, had a better (slightly) korean food at Ampang after visited Singapore, went together with the buddies who went to Sg with me.

Sigh, when the cook is no longer local, the food always turned bad.

sep8.jpg

Mooncake festival is approaching soon, and this year have slightly different moon cake =)

sep9.jpg

remember the durian bday cake at Moonlight cakehouse I had last year? Surprised that my technical chef colleague was able to make one too!

sep10.jpg

Then I also finally met up my online first female friend - Carlyn! Both of us are fan of fried chicken, and here we are!

sep11.jpg

BBQ chicken at Taman Desa actually just mehhhhhh, not really great, i think they might have ruin the brand from korea.

However, later we had high tea session at Breadfruits, quite happy that the passion fruit cake at Breadfruits are yummy too. Meaning Breadfruits not just serve good meal, they have nice cakes too.

sep12.jpg

Then, the famous brew house has finally come to Klang! Good that now we have more food options~

sep13.jpg

I also have this chance to visit my childhood all time favourite hananese chicken chop kopitiam, their chicken chop still taste great, although the portion size is getting smaller and also the price is spiking time to time.

sep14.jpg

Then so many postcards coming in, haha 1 is from myself all the way from Singapore, while the remain is from Jennifer, also posted to me while she was in Singapore with me. And bean kinda was forced by myself to send me one during her Shanghai trip lol.

sep15.jpg

She is detailed enough to paste a paper on back of the wooden postacard to ensure it will arrive safely to me, thanks friend!

sep16.jpg

Meal at <simple life> is getting usual in my family, not sure this is which attempt.

sep17.jpg

Finally I also get my puzzle book done! Indeed enjoying my life while my leg injured.

sep18.jpg

Yes, i hurt my leg during yoga class, and hopefully it will become better soon.

As I said there are more activities coming up, August continued with more and more fun moments.

22nd was Malaysia's Haji day, which is official public holiday for us, and I went to Mid valley with my mum for shopping, L'occitane also had done a campaign in Mid valley centre court.

IMG_2023.JPG

I guess marketing nowadays have to be very creative and trending, understand the need of youngster nowadays, the road show was just a instagrammable check-in place with lots of kiosk and corners explaining how's their products well related to the public.

They also set up this unique room for photo purpose, luckily we were early, which only need to queue very short time and got to take photo in less than 2 mins i think.

IMG_2025.JPG

Nowadays these kind of illustration purpose room is very popular as ppl now carrying camera everywhere.

IMG_2026.JPG

But to us, more like a mother daughter bonding time.

IMG_2027.JPG

Plus we are not photogenic or photographer, basically just for fun.

IMG_2029.JPG

IMG_2033.JPG

But the event is definitely very successful, many crowds were attracted, and most importantly we were able to receive free gift upon checking out every kiosk.

IMG_2036.JPG

Although all are just samples, but just felt good. Oh, i also had done a simple vision check up, and my eyes are functioning very well.

IMG_2049.JPG

However, L'occitane marketing did not work on us, beside collecting their free gifts, we did not buy anything, but we do buy their sister's brand, Melvita's products.

IMG_2050.JPG

Melvita is not that expensive as compared with L'occitane, and also stay the same high quality and natural ingredients content. Then I also had bought kate's eyebrow pen as my etude hse eye brow pen is running off.

We had Japanese for lunch, at Yuzu in Gardens, I think KLCC's yuzu offered better food tho.

IMG_2037.JPG

Then following after Haji, we had celebration for Bpeng's bday on 23rd at Landmark cafe. This was the second visit for me, and I am banning them from now on.

IMG_1614.JPG

IMG_2058.JPG

Food was so salty especially for the crossed cut fries and they explained it was prepackagaed and they couldnt do anything about it, excuse me!? such not professional answer, if you think is salty then you shall just change other products, not giving us excuses!

IMG_2061.JPG

Their cakes are not pleasant too.

IMG_2066.JPG

Of cz we still have good time, is just i can quite firm most of us will not going to return after that night.

NZHS3028.JPG

Once again, happy birthday Bpeng.

TTMF6408.JPG

Lately i had bought hummus at Jaya grocer, these really bring back the memories of my breakfast in NZ.

IMG_2090.JPG

Even the hummus is not cheap especially is imported from Australia or NZ, once in a long while was really happy to do so.

Beside getting healthy with hummus, i also start to like the hakka style lei cha, simple life's lei cha was really wholesome, but a bit pricy.

IMG_2128.JPG

Then my colleague who i mentioned love postcard a lot, had been crazily invested in buying postcards to friends and strangers, i had received one from her today.

IMG_2140.JPG

IMG_2141.JPG

Good to have her, do post me more lol =D

I had so many activities, gathering, catch up recently and foresee more coming in future weeks.

I guess although my schedule seems packed but somehow is quite fruitful to have so many awesome ppl around and also really had wonderful time with them.

Hence, it would be more summary of my activies on my blog, well I admited my laziness did play a major role, but i do still want to have some records here rather than just not write up anything.

First of all, that's something new in my room! I finally get my precious travel photos printed and got to paste in this decorated photo book that wai ee gifted me 2 yrs ago when i left Macfood.

IMG_1881.JPG

You can see how's my beloved totoro soft toys surrounding my room corner.

Then these days, i could easily got free lunch, my sales colleagues were kind enough to treat us meal, and the hainanese restaurant they brought us serves unique and tasty dishes.

IMG_1898.JPG

Look at the egg! so fluffy~

IMG_1899.JPG

and this kind of choi pou chicken also is my first time eating experience.

Recently i got influenced by my colleague, Siew who loves to collect and post postcard, she informed me about this free post card contest on FB and i was really lucky to be one of the winner from this organizer, Yuan from Taiwan.

KASW1687.JPG

KWBJ0216.JPG

Look at the word this stranger wrote, oh my, so touching.  =D

Here's come Siew, we had dinner together few days ago after visited our colleague in the hospital.

NXMZ7240.JPG

Then, on Friday i had catch up with Wai Ee at Stranger at 47 after she changed her job. So nice to meet her, and know she got a better work life.

Food at Stranger 47 never failed me, so yummy.

IMG_1912.JPG

IMG_1914.JPG

This time i had tried another 2 new savoury crepes, and they were yummy as the Cajun crepe I tried at the first time.

Not to mention that i have dessert crepe this time too! Finally!

IMG_1920.JPG

Love this pandan crepe, very local taste and pandan and banana always perfect match.

Then yesterday, I had met another guy who i know from dating app, and he asked me meet at this famous sarawak laksa place. honestly i didnt find it really good that i need to drive all the way to PJ for this. Well, good to know...but nah, i wouldnt come again.

IMG_1923.JPG

After the lunch, we did not continue further, and you know what this mean.

I continue longing at Sunway Geo Avenue for the second hand book fair, facebook had kept notify me for this event, and i do have interest to find out.

IMG_1926.JPG

Good to know there is a common space for holding this kind of event or for personal working spaces.

This place is also very creative when come to interior design, really artistic.

IMG_1927.JPG

IMG_1928.JPG

IMG_1929.JPG

I also had some books from the event, spent less than RM50 i got myself 4 books, and 2 of them are very recently published books and very cheap. Moreover, they also in very good condition, good to know there are ppl who treasure books so well and willing to offer reasonable price and share to others who more demand for the book.

FZZG0676.JPG

My niece also visited us last night, she was so excited at the playground in the mall, and out of random, she found a chipmunk hat somewhere and she just wore it and continue playing.

IMG_1944.JPG

IMG_1946.JPG

No wonder ppl said playground is child's heaven, but parent's hell, cz she really played non stop until the mall almost closed down. =.=

Then today I had another flower arrangement workshop, which is my most wanted flower bouquet workshop, yippie!!

IMG_1954.JPG

So many baby breath~

IMG_1958.JPG

and my favourite sunflower~

Tada, a simple bouquet of sunflower, ideal for graduation gift~

IMG_1960.JPG

IMG_1963.JPG

I actually need to arrange 2 flower bouquet today, and i must say flower bouquet is really tough to do!!

I finally realized why the flower bouquet out there is so expensive, indeed every penny spent is meant for something.

The second flower bouquet is more complex, with 5 different flowers involved, and lily is really very fragile, need to take extra care.

IMG_1965.JPG

The more flowers in the bouquet, the more challenging to wrap up. Without the help of my teacher, i really couldnt make it.

IMG_1990.JPG

Here come the model photo again, LOL.

IMG_1981.JPG

IMG_1983.JPG

IMG_1991.JPG

Definitely something to shout out, who cares about flower, i can make my own, ok?! LOL.

IMG_1970.JPG

Workshop today also provided lunch, even though is fast food but still considered very good at least is free.

I also continue have a high tea session with Wei after lunch, is a long catch up, havent seen her since last year Bday.

IMG_1973.JPG

Anyways, my week was very good, lastly to share Malaysia version Sakura that bloom everywhere recently on my way home.

IMG_2012.JPG

Not sure what species is this tree, but is good to see them around.

Another month here, i had so many food opportunities these days, so i am just going to have a quick wrap up in this post.

First of all, i received free salted egg yolk fish skin snack again from Singapore~

IMG_1604.JPG

But this is another brand from the golden duck, i also just knew this brand not long ago, apparently the fame is not lower than the well known Irwin.

Taste was not bad, but i am really lucky that so far for myself, never need to pay any peny to eat this sinful yet super expensive snack.

I also had a training early this month hosted from one of our supplier, is always good to have training and free fancy food~

IMG_1627.JPG

It was at Saujana, taste not too bad, at least better than our previous annual dinner food.

IMG_1629.JPG

Dessert selection was poor tho.

Then we have farefell, yes that soon, for our newly joined 2 months colleague, hui hwa, she had this allergic symptoms from flour since she stepped in the company.

Pity her, she wouldnt able to do many food related job in the future. Hopefully she get well soon.

We had western meal at Putra Height, which is considered fancy enough for her.

IMG_1640.JPG

Food was not cheap, and taste actually quite bad.

VFAF2069.JPG

Bye bYe hui hwa~

Then, there is new food place in Klang! Woah~ so good for klangnites to hear that.

This franchaised HK eatery - so called boy cart noodles had opened a new chain in Bukit tinggi, at least we have something new!

IMG_1692.JPG

I like the interior of the eatery really much, so hong kong style, and this place is always crowded since it opens.

IMG_1693.JPG

The food portion selection is generous, with 3 side dishes and noodles only cost RM11.90, is considered very reasonable.

I like the grilled pork chop, as for the signature Hong kong curry fish ball, i think they screwed it for a Hong Kong themed eatery, yet to be improved.

In August, i had my solo time again at Pyramid, i think once in a long while to have dinner alone is quite ok.

IMG_1710.JPG

I had sushi set from Aeon, and ate near the food court area.

Also had bought washi tape on the same day, daiso did starting to have good stuff in Malaysia.

IMG_1713.JPG

I also have dates going on in August, met this guy from dating app and have nice lunch at Alexis.

Food was ok, it was first time to have their main, i only tried dessert before.

IMG_1722.JPG

The pasta was actually so so, but the sandwich below is surprisingly not bad.

IMG_1723.JPG

The signature tiramisu is not to be missed, but somehow i felt i still prefer the authentic traditional tiramisu.

IMG_1724.JPG

Recently my parents really love simple life, this is one of the usual dishes i have in Simple life. Well, is good to detox sometimes....

IMG_1733.JPG

Ok next, the highlight is my colleague's wedding, congrats Siti!

This is also my first time attending a Malays traditional wedding.

MOIH2071.JPG

It was held at her apartment area, with large banner indicating the event, huge campaign, ensure we never gonna miss the place.

BHRC6279.JPG

LXUT6970.JPG

basically the ceremony just come with buffet and people come to eat then go, both bride and groom will greet the guest at front too, which is quite similar with chinese wedding.

AIOH1445.JPG

we have almost full attendance from the department, even hui hwa, derrick and yen who had left also joined the ceremony.

ATVI2072.JPG

The cake is also baked by my colleague, Hau.

BMFO9264.JPG

DOQW4233.JPG

FBEE1750.JPG

Free door gift ~ a fake flowers and salted egg....hmmmm something meaningful for Malays wedding apparently, and also a piece of soap.

IMG_1742.JPG

MPSB5203.JPG

SXRA0915.JPG

Good to have colleague's wedding, at least something to celebrate~

IMG_1798.JPG

received this post card few days ago, from Karen when she travelled in Macau.

PVIC1064.JPG

It had been a while, finally have badminton session!!

IMG_1821.JPG

Then actually i took a day off today to renew my identity card, passed by the mosque in Shah Alam.

Having a day off doing random things somehow is goood~

I think this year i have so much of foooood, definitely gaining lots of weight, and for sure the diet road is stopped somehow.... ==

July had been a great month, still not end, but closely.

Early this month was Fami bday, he joined our company half years ago, so also celebrating his first bday in Bakels~

AIDS6265.JPG

We used potato bread to customized a special "cake" for him~

IFZR6219.JPG

the group is expanding~

KEYX5092.JPG

Then, i also met the online fren for the second time, at Project space, SS15.

IMG_1340.JPG

Food was so so only...

IMG_1341.JPG

Apparently, their burnt cheesecake is quite famous too, but i think Birch's is much better.

IMG_1342.JPG

So as the crepe cake, cant remeber the taste, guess it was so so only. Definitely not coming back.

IMG_1343.JPG

Spot this in the early morning~

IMG_1373.JPG

Also this month, have movie night with Li Ting and Pei Ling at Setia Walk, finally paid my visit to "Ticket to Korea", food was nice.

IMG_1388.JPG

So nice to have budae jigae (the korean army hotpot), just the portion at this korean restaurant not really generous and price not cheap either.

IMG_1389.JPG

Setia walk decor had changed too.

IMG_1392.JPG

IMG_1394.JPG

Another good morning scene on the way to work

IMG_1408.JPG

Ohh, i also bought this RT special crepe roll, very expensive, RM18 per roll, it was not bad, but too pricy.

IMG_1481.JPG

Last, i brought my minion polaroid during bday celebration of Kong and Derrick.

IMG_1485.JPG

Dinner at Jibby & Co was pleasant, food are nice (not all), cake are decent (not all too), but this is always a good place to hang out.

IMG_1487.JPG

Thanks peep for going through another year~

Yeah, another flower arrangement class for me, and this time is arranging flower in a basket.

Thanks to Angela, my high school friend, offered a reasonable class and most importantly, the location is at Klang!

She used to working in bank, then from time to time, she pick up the flower arrangement hobby, from online, she developed her fame then now own a shop lot, full time doing this business.

I do think her story is inspring, and surely wish she keep success with good business.

IMG_1436.JPG

The flower arrangement in basket is harder than my first flower arrangement class, as i need to place the flower into a hard moist sponge, and the flowers i dealed with today are quite fragile.

IMG_2743.PNG

this photo is extracted from Angela's instagram, you can how hard all the students are working.

With the help from Angela and another teacher, i did success to create my own flower basket~

IMG_1439.JPG

It seems all are the same, but watch closely, all of the flower baskets are decorated so differently. I am happy with what i did though~

IMG_1452.JPG

i love this photo so much, and i had used it as my whatapps profile photo.

IMG_1459.JPG

Group photo time, there are 5 students in total including myself, and another high school classmate, shin chyn.

IMG_1462.JPG

A workshop come with a cert, why not? hehe

IMG_1465.JPG
