Finally, this famous weekend flea market had come to Malaysia!

Originated from Bangkok, ArtBox had popped up a few times in our neighbour country, Singapore, but never to Malaysia.

Since Artbox always appear as pops up, it is likely that it would attract plenty of people to this one-off event, but i never thought it would be that crowded!

IMG_3433.JPG

I think the location chosen this time was not very wise, and the traffic was poorly controlled, crowd size was under-estimated, it was pretty hard to walk around, not even mention about chance of photo shooting.

IMG_3474.JPG

I swear i would not go again if Artbox come to Malaysia again, unless i heard good feedbacks.

All the complaints were well seen online, everyone was not satisfied, poor organization, extremely pricy food, bad traffic control...everything were out of control.

OHYX8353.JPG

I came of the first night, which falls on Friday, straight coming here after work, we thought we were smart to chose BRT to here, coming here is easy but going back was really annoying.

We waited for almost an hour to get back to the bus just because there were so many people, I guess we spent too much time at Pyramid after wandering around Artbox for less than an hour.

FUSG8057.JPG

I personally really enjoy flea markets and also buying random art or stationary stuffs at pop up stalls, but i also have to agree with what those keyboard warriors told, ArtBox Malaysia indeed dissapointing, I am quite grateful to choose to come on the first night, although in the end I made effort to come here twice, second time with my highschool mate right on the next night on Saturday.

I still happy to discovered the Gachapon stall, all the vending machines here are straightly imported from Japan! Hooray~

MXQQ7567.JPG

RM15 for one capsule toy indeed ain't cheap, but "once" in an Artbox Malaysia event, it was ok...

IMG_3435.JPG

Well, it was not once, cz i made another twist on the second night and got a charmender this time...hmmm ya recently i am addicted to pokemon bcz i have started playing the pokemon go game on mobile XD

IMG_3491.JPG

We had taiwanese meal at Pyramid, thanks to the Artbox event, Pyramid is also crowded everywhere...

IMG_3437.JPG

then we walked back to the BRT station through the connection bridge from Pyramid, it was also my first time accessing using this bridge.

IMG_3439.JPG

The view is quite nice =D

IMG_3442.JPG

You also can see from here, there were so crowded for this event, Malaysian indeed love to line up for events.

Here's also what i had bulleting on my journal regarding Artbox...

IMG_3479.JPG

Besides Pokemon, I also had bought a Paris acrylic stamp pad and a watch too, so seems like not really saying Artbox is not worthy at all.

Thank god another long weekend was here, and i had spent most of my time at Putra Jaya for 2 occassions.

The first one was the first time in my life, witness the celebration of National day, well, it was kinda a date for me too.

This guy who I met online suggested to go Putra jaya together and since i have nothing to do though i really have no interest to see as i already expected it would be very crowded.

But still, I was thinking to try to see once in my life, especially with the victory of successfully changing government this year, Merdeka 2018 seems to be more meaningful.

So here i come~

To be honest, the organization for this year event was horrible, first, there is lacking of information online regarding the bus info, grateful that the organizer arrange bus to pick up public from certain area to the event destination, but i used so much time to find out the official website and the details of the location for pick up. It is unbelievable that the official website was not able to be searched on google.

I arrived quite early as I really worried about the traffic and parking, and realized the buses were quite frequent.

IMG_2149.JPG

Traffic to the destination, which is around presinct 3 was quite smooth, and indeed lots of people.

IMG_2155.JPG

During childhood, merdeka is always on tv, while this year, first time witness the event, i just feel....bored.

I guess maybe the government is trying very hard to save money, so there is not much exciting activities or performance.

The biggest perhaps was the jet flying across...

We stayed less than 2 hours at the event and surprised to find out it did not last very long either.

IMG_2157.JPG

However, overall I was there almost half day, and starving from the morning until almost 2pm. It was a disaster when heading back to carpark, the buses were stucked in the jam, traffic was very bad, very unorganized, and the buses that passed by was all full. I waited almost 2 hrs just for the bus, not to mention there is nothing around to have food....

So the merdeka event was not very pleasant, but the floral festival on the other hand was not too bad, although i dont think i will come again next year.

I went to the floral festival with Wei and a bit unlucky was the time we arrived which was around 4pm, it was rain so heavily!

So no choice we had to go IOI for dinner first then only head back to Putra Jaya.

We had dinner at Oiso, it is not bad for the taste, and the restaurant was decorated nicely.

IMG_2189.JPG

I had ramen, taste was ok, but good portion~

IMG_2191.JPG

IMG_2232.JPG

We head back to Putra Jaya was around 9 something, and actually i dont think there were much thing over there.

Flowers were less than i expected.

IMG_2193.JPG

Putra Jaya night view could be spotted.

IMG_2196.JPG

Not really understand the point of having fake snow.....

IMG_2198.JPG

IMG_2206.JPG

I guess most flowers are orchid...

IMG_2207.JPG

Oh there was a mini super tree from Singapore Gardens by the Bay.

IMG_2210.JPG

So as a mini hobbiton.

IMG_2217.JPG

IMG_2221.JPG

IMG_2225.JPG

not as colorful as i imagined.

IMG_2228.JPG

IMG_2235.JPG

That's all for my weekend, conclusion: not bad as there were something to do... =S

Yippie, another workshop, and i never thought of participating in water color workshop, but since Siew, my colleague is interested on it, so here we come.

This workshop is held at Sunway velocity, but this time i no longer drive but too lrt, then mrt to here...what a good experience, especially with the new mrt (malaysian subway) is my first ride after it started operating few months ago.

We had the fish bowl for lunch, i always want to try out this place and so happy finally manage to do so this time, cz last time when i visited Sunway velocity, i only discovered there is the fish bowl after i finished lunch.

IMG_1835.JPG

I have the spicy tuna bowl, which is the classic menu, it is quite spicy, but their ingredients are fresh. I think i do is a fan of poke bowl.

IMG_1836.JPG

We actually do not have much time, so after lunch straight away go to the workshop held at Claire's organic again, at level 5.

IMG_1838.JPG

ABCJ9598.JPG

a set of Pentel brand water colours paint, plastic palette and 1 brush was gifted upon this workshop, and we learned from the basic of mixing color, then drawing different types of leave, then slowly move to flowers/

IMG_1842.JPG

Drawing a leaf is also not that simple, the last time i holding brush maybe is 15 yrs ago...cant believe is that long.

IMG_1843.JPG

IMG_1868.JPG

IMG_1869.JPG

This is the size of our workshop, around 13 ppl participating, and everyone is talented!

IMG_1844.JPG

There is afternoon tea provided too, such a heartful workshop, in fact, this is also the longest i had so far, is 5 hrs duration.

After learning all the basics, here's come my piece of artwork~

IMG_1847.JPG

Rose actually is not easy to draw too, but felt happy after learning to draw it.

IMG_1848.JPG

Group photo here we come, the lady in olive green shirt is our teacher today.

IMG_1860.JPG

And here is Siew and me.

DCAN8119.JPG

We had dinner before return home after the workshop, at tuk tuk, there is another chain in Pyramid where i used to eat often.

IMG_1857.JPG

But this is my first time tasted their mango sticky rice, i still prefer the ruby dessert.

IMG_1859.JPG

I had basil chicken rice, that's wrap up my productive Sunday today =D

Yippie, this day finally come, had been looking forward for today for so long.

Most importantly, i found someone who able to be my company to this kind of workshop/events, i almost gone by myself.

Let's define LAH, it's mean Learn A Hobby~, organized by my weekend plan , really grateful they have come out with this event, encourage the public to learn a new hobby, at the same time, introducing various kinds of workshop/hobbies that public could try out or learn. It is also a good platform for local artists to gain more exposure of their artwork.

LAH fair is held at Sandbox Co Working Space at Sri Petaling, recently there are so many these kind of working spaces in Klang valley, they allowed ppl to rent a small corner as a tiny office, or larger space for event such as today LAH fair.

The person I mentioned is my colleague, Siew, who is born 1994, and surprisingly we are both quite clicked. This is our second time outing since last visit to the Popular Book Fest at KLCC last month.

After fetching Siew from her hse at Shah Alam, we head to Sri Petaling and had lunch at 5.1 cafe gallery.

IMG_1554.JPG

This cafe is really nice to have photo with, well decorated, we come at the right time when it was early and no ppl around to disturb our photo time.

JNKR7732.JPG

PQQC1439.JPG

OMG, cant believe myself look so fat in this photo!

Back to food, menu wise is quite a lot of varieties, but food itself is not satisfying.

IMG_1558.JPG

I ordered chicken with blanket cheese on top, and they really gave me a blanket! So awful and disgusting, the chicken was dry, so as the cheese.

Would definitely not return even websites review commented the dessert is more famous, whatever.

After lunch, we slowly made our way to Sandbox, but we were early and missed the chance to play the wheel at the entrance downstair cz the staffs still in middle preparing the prize.

We waited for an hour to finally able to spend 5 mins on each stores to attend a small scale hobby workshop.

The first one we started was the dessert water color, I drew myself a macaron~ hehe, a small gift, artwork sticker provided by teacher was given upon completed the workshop.

IMG_1599.JPG

Then, we learnt to make jewelry too, is a simple piece, but not easy as well, without the teacher help, i definitely couldnt make it.

IMG_1600.JPG

Next, we went to make a natural cup plate using pandan leaves.

IMG_1559.JPGIMG_1602.JPG

This so natural urban workshop was hosted by UrbanEscape, founded by 3 energetic guys only like one month ago.

Really think teenagers nowadays are brave and passionate about their dream, and i was very lucky, cz I won the prize as I posted the photo on instagram.. come to think of that, maybe because my instagram was set to be seen public, and not many people really participating in this chance to win, so no doubt i turned to be the winner.

And this was what i won:

IMG_1714.PNG

NNSS3580.JPG

Another cup plate lol.

Then, the next stop is brush lettering, but i dont like this teacher, has a very smelly face, but thanks to her, now i know the fundamental skill for brush letter and modern calligraphy are quite the same.

IMG_1561.JPGIMG_1601.JPG

This store also didnt provide any workshop. only just write down our name, that's it.

Last, i went to the manicure store, and get my first ever manicure.

IMG_1562.JPG

Apart from these, I also got many goodies~ Not sure if i would return for LAH fair 3.0, but i did have a good time here.

IMG_1603.JPG

I also had early dinner with Siew at Peekaboo cafe at Bukit Jalil since it is so near, a valid reason to be here? simple and easy, cz is a totoro themed cafe~

IMG_1564.JPG

The entrance is ald so magical, totoro spotted everywhere.

IMG_1566.JPG

Even on the staircase...

IMG_1567.JPG

IMG_1569.JPG

The cafe is located at second floor, and the entrance is ald a huge photoshooting spot

AYHX6898.JPG

Although the totoro drawing is quite fake, but still is quite instagrammable.

IMG_1574.JPG

Even at the door, wow.

IMG_1575.JPG

You can spot totoro everywhere in the cafe.

IMG_1576.JPG

IMG_1577.JPG

IMG_1578.JPG

I ordered a hot chocolate, hoping they will pour me some totoro art on it, quite dissapointed especially the hot chocolate also not nice.

IMG_1584.JPG

The salmon spagetti I ordered was one of the chef recommendation, but honestly i cooked better than him/her.

IMG_1586.JPG

This cafe basically just provide the ambience, proven once again - cartoon themed cafe food sucks.....

looking at the ugly totoro cake in the cabinet, really sorry for totoro being ruined this way. Please do not insult totora fans!

GPKB5844.JPG

NZOS5573.JPG

TJGW8928.JPG

Even those totoro soft toys are all privated made and looks so fake...please.....honestly, i really dont like ppl use this kind of strategy to attract public but not providing good food.

This cafe for sure would not last long unless they willing to improve their food quality.

Besides all the bad food i had today, still a good saturday for me.

thanks to the election post holiday, well not exactly today but since my company did not witness the post holiday on time, we are eligible for 2 replacement leaves.

And here come my first leave used today =D

There is a Japan expo at Pavillion starting today, so I dated my mum there via LRT as she never been to KL city via LRT.

Thanks to Pek Shan, I figured out the way to access Pavillion from KLCC.

IMG_1514.JPG

Actually the expo is not very huge, decor is also very simple, i dont think i will come all the way to KL for this expo next year unless I happened to pass by and free ==

One of the major purpose i wish to come is because of this:

IMG_1517.JPG

I do like origami, is just i am so lazy to learn to fold on my own, and i am not really confident if i could fold my own, the teacher is from the Origami Academy based at Publika, where I known for some years, and they used to hold workshops for children. Once they have workshop for adults, but the price was so expensive.

So since this is free, why not?

I do think the origami science is interesting, in fact, in real life, some people had used it on the medical, transportation industry, according to the founder of Origami Academy.

The workshop is very simple, we had 2 foldings, a rose and my mum chose frog.

IMG_1519.JPG

The orange and pink is made by the teacher, while the bottom 2, yellow and red was made by myself.....hmmmm....well i actually cant recall how i fold it now. GOSH.

IMG_1520.JPG

But i successfully made this back into its original shape all by my own, also solve mum's lol

IMG_1524.JPG

It would be even exicited if i could win the price....well in my dream then.

A famous Japanese artist come at the expo and also provided this art space for us to fill in~

IMG_1529.JPG

Guess which onei painted? nah, i didnt took it.

IMG_1531.JPG

There's also some performance at the centre court, but we couldnt be border to watch.

IMG_1532.JPG

During lunch time, mum followed my suggestion to have meal at Tokyo restaurant, Lot 10! So happy finally made myself here, had been longing here for sometimes!

We waited for around 15mins, and because the food not really cheap, we ordered food that more meant to be shared.

Thought the umami fries which stated recommended by chef would be something fancy, well, it just with umami seasoning sprinkled on top of the fries == but the portion is huge!

IMG_1535.JPG

TBH, menu variety is very limited, only one page, and the chef actually changed the menu after sometimes. We have this grilled chicken which was just alright, i think i wouldnt back for the main.

IMG_1536.JPG

But definitely come back for the 6th avenue cheese cake, it was soooooo good! OMG, silky and smooth, and not very rich, just meet my expectation. It ald exceed my previous burnt cheese cake which was at Birch. I so happy that i made the choice to visit here even one of my company supplier told me the cheese cake was not up to her expectation, but i loved it =D

IMG_1540.JPG

Almost all tables are ordering it.

Then, we back to pavillion again after lunch, thought of walking around outdoor as the expo setup a few japanese stalls at the entrance but it was pouring so heavily.

So we get back into the mall, and nearly evening time before we go back to KLCC, i made my move to Laduree, another place i longing for~

IMG_1541.JPG

So grateful Laduree finally come to Malaysia, but i really doubted if this brand can survive in Malaysia, as there is not many ppl desire for this kind of high end dessert.

IMG_1542.JPG

IMG_1544.JPG

all the decors were so fancy~

IMG_1546.JPG

In the end i only bought one macaron, is already costed me RM12!!! This is the most expensive macaron i ever had, even macaron i bought at overseas (Japan, Korea, NZ or  Australia) also not that pricy, or mayb just similar price.

If you asked me would I ever back again for this, the answer is really depends, it was not really that good, is more of the brand effect, i had macaron tasted better than it. Plus, there is not much variety, and the staff cant even recommend me which one i shall pick.

Just like what i mentioned, i dont really think Malaysian will return to this place, cz macaron indeed not something very popular in Malaysia.

So we made our way to KLCC and had another japanese meal at Yuzu, indeed a japan day for me.

Surprisingly, yuzu food was nice =D

IMG_1547.JPG

We ordered a salad, as we were so full, but the salad also taste so nice.

Also, they gave a large pot of green tea, one thing i almost forgot to highlight is The Tokyo restaurant did not charge us for service fee, but Yuzu did like others.

IMG_1548.JPG

We also had the mango sushi which is also very tasty, what a wise choice to end the night =D

Thought i would miss out this event but thanks to Siew, I am able to come to this mega book fest hosted by Popular book store.

Took LRT this morning with my colleague, Siew all the way to KLCC, it had been a while since i last took LRT.

We arrived quite early so the queue is not that long, but surely we missed the goodie bags.

EYFY1444.JPG

OCXE9386.JPG

Honestly i dont think the books are very cheap, but indeed you can get all the collection here, can find lots of random books which usually rarely find at the bookstore.

OHCM0341.JPG

I was so excited when i spotted this, but still not cheap also. I was so hesistate to buy one or two.....end up i did buy some lol.

RTVM0736.JPG

We went for lunch in the middle before continue look into other areas.

IMG_0897.JPG

Siew picked nando's, although i dont really like to dine in there but good that the vege sides are wholesome enough.

IMG_0909.JPG

We didnt stay long at the book fest, left around 2.30pm as I still have wedding dinner tonight.

Is my cousin's wedding, I didnt attend her ceremony in Sydney (well too pricy) but thankful that able to attend hers in Malaysia.

Furthermore, it is so random to spot below scene.

IMG_0920.JPG

My niece, Loey is making friends again~ lol

IMG_0924.JPG

Also realized the fried rice is nice. =)

Last this is what i got today~ hahaha more and more coming but still yet to finish reading ><

yes finally able to experience stamp crafting, this is one of the new hobby i want to try.

I actually wish to learn it during my Korea trip last year, and thought i can craft my name at the same time, oh well.

but now, i have the chance to learn it locally, so happy when i come across Corallinestamp instagram account and found out she was hosting a stamp crafting workshop at Sunway velocity.

Actually i was hesitate at first, not because of the cost, RM80 is actually ok for me, but I more worried about the distance.

Well nearly an hour drive is not a problem, is just recently my car is not really stable and that's really a concern for me.

However, i think is not easy to meet this chance, and really want to spare sometimes to do something meaningful and interesting.

So, I just joined the activity and ya no regret =D

IMG_9507.JPG

I met karen for lunch, thought of asking her to join the workshop too but she was hesitate because or her neck ache.

We had simple Japanese lunch at top floor at Velocity, actually this is my first time visiting here, and happy to find out there is a space that encourages the development of creativity and cultures where artisans come together as a community by supporting each other. - Commune.

IMG_9508.JPG

IMG_9510.JPG

IMG_9511.JPG

IMG_9512.JPG

My workshop was in the afternoon, lasted for 2 hours plus.

Not many attended this workshop, including myself, there are only 3 of us. My teacher, Coraline, is a quiet and friendly girl, i am guessing she is not local and also surprised such a quiet girl could lead the workshop.

I crafted a leave and arrow at first, learning all the basic skill, then i moved on to a slightly complicated design - Eiffel tower!

IMG_9514.JPG

It was harder than i thought, Coraline also commented is difficult, because of the tower base 'X" design, need more detailed crafting skill.

However, i think most importantly is the heart and passion, tada, i made it!

IMG_9516.JPG

IMG_9517.JPG

There are also tea and cookies to be served, such a pleasant afternoon.

IMG_9521.JPG

These are the goodies I got today, a stamp pad (purple), an art board (green), a stamp pad (pink to red), 2 crafting knife. Coraline even custom made my name card =)

IMG_9522.JPG

Beside, i also got this lavender soap from Claire Organic, the workshop is actually co-hosted by Clair Organic, so they also gave out little gift.

Good to know there a still a bunch of ppl who enthuastic about artwork out there =)

I always want to try arranging flowers, well no girls hate flower, though i used to think flowers bouquet is very expensive and not worth, but it was the old me.

Now, i really love flowers, and hope that one day i can receive flower from someone who i loved...well that's just not going to happen any sooner.

But is ok, I can get my own flowers ~ =D

Probably my desire was strong enough, i randomly tried my luck while the facebook page - My weekend plan offered free slots for people to attend the flower arrangement workshop.

And.... I was selected as the winner!! WOOOAH!

So happy~ and today is the day for the workshop~

Although at last i found out the workshop only cost for RM30 ==, but well save some penny still ok for me right now as I had spent so much recently!

IMG_9142.JPG

IMG_9143.JPG

The class i attended was flower arrangement in vase/glass, maybe the price is not high, the flowers given was also not really in good quality.

However, i think most importantly is to learn the arranging skill. In fact, it is not as easy as just placing the flower into the vase, we need to trim the stem, cut down the length of the stem to adjust the height to be fit into the vase. then, rose need to be filled in first followed by the rest.

IMG_9144.JPG

IMG_9159.JPG

I actually felt a bit confused because i felt my arrangement was kinda messy....but then was told by the teachers that messy is also a kind of beauty...== alright.

IMG_9162.JPG

Mostly is girl attending this workshop, and we enjoyed the class a lot =)

IMG_9163.JPG

IMG_9164.JPG

NGEU5442.JPG

That's how the flower looks like after few days~ But surprisingly, mum have a happy smile on her face when i bring it home.

Just like what i define, no girl hate flowers~

Is the time to exchange xmas gift again! cool!!!

This year session was carried out at <Blackstone cafe>, honestly, i think the food over here is really sucks, not cheap and not nice at all.

The only reason being here maybe because no one propose anywhere, those good cafes never found in Klang area, so ended up we were trapped with limited ideas and someone who knew the cafe owner chose here.

xmasgift1.jpg

This year is the first time Scheen taking part in this christmas gift exchange session, although kok chin attend, but he didnt bring present ><!

xmasgift2.jpg

This year, i have chosen Hui B's gift, which was same as 2 years ago

Coincidentally, the gift i received this year was very similar as last year's, also from Lovisa, instead of wrist band, I got a necklace and a pair of earring this year.

xmasgift10.jpg

This is already the 2nd pair of earring I received this year, I wonder if this is a hint for me, to get pierced. ??

While for the gift i prepared, hand cream from Crabtree & Evelyn was taken by Bean, hopefully she liked it then.

xmasgift3.jpg

I guess everyone is happy with their gift.

xmasgift5.jpg

xmasgift6.jpg

xmasgift4.jpg

xmasgift7.jpg

Beside xmas gift, i also received gift from bean, she just back from Japan, and see what she got for me!

xmasgift8.jpg

Mount Fuji!! OMG, i am so jealous, this is my dream destination, i havent been to Tokyo, Mount Fuji yet but Bean had gone to all these places include where I been to (Kyoto and Osaka).

I really want to go Tokyo and Mount Fuji desperately!

xmasgift9.jpg

These are what she gave me, beside the 2 souveniers from Mount Fuji area, also the 2 souvenirs at the bottom from Kyoto and One Piece cookies snack from Tokyo~

These days I really spent lot of times with my family, which i think is quite awesome especially your parents can join you for those so called "teenagers' activities", lol

I am very busy this long weekend, yea, it will be public holiday tomorrow (AWESOME!) and since i took a day off on Friday, I will have a very cool weekend!

Since Thursday night, i was so busy with all of these outings, have movie night with my high school mates on Thursday night, went to mum's hometown, Sasaran, for the art festival on my day off which is on Friday.

Then, went to Big Bad Wolf book exhibition for the first time yesterday, and today, I am going Pavillion with family and will also join an art event in the night!

The main highlight of the day is definitely the art event, which named " Art and Light" festival, hosted by a local property company, Mah Sing.

We knew about this festival from my younger brother, he is currently working as a part-timer for this event which held during weekend at Icon city in the whole December.

I immediately ask my parents to make a visit, especially knowing the ticket is free of charge!

Yay! But it was dad's idea that we shall not waste the day since we are visiting PJ area at night, and he want to see the xmas decor in Pavillion =)

Woah, sure! I had not visited Pavillion for a long time too, well, KL is far from Klang, so we seldom go the city centre, usually we get what we need in Klang valley, furthest maybe would just be me, in Subang area.

So, I am happy with dad's plan, especially heard that Pavillion has a very grand xmas decor this year.

art1.jpg

Well, it was ok to me, not really that WOW, but maybe because of the red and gold theme, the decor is more festive, and more catchy on eyes.

art2.jpg

Dad and mum purposely wearing couple shirt?

art3.jpg

art4.jpg

We also moved to the outdoor to see the decor, but nothing much special this year.

art5.jpg

The 3 big bowl which is the signature of Pavillion seems to be so boring....lol

art6.jpg

art7.jpg

art8.jpg

So we moved our way back into the mall, did some shoppings, and realized the view of the xmas decor in the centre court is more nicer from the top.

art9.jpg

During lunch time, we had Japanese as there is Tokyo street at the top floor, we visited this newly opened Japanese cuisine.

art10.jpg

Mum had the grilled salmon and sushi set which was not that expensive.

art11.jpg

While myself just have the gyu-don, it was ok with price considered quite cheap for Japanese meal.

art12.jpg

Dad also ordered this garlic fried rice, actually we definitely ordered too much dishes. Luckily they were all burnt since we shopped the whole day.

Then I also brought parents to try out snow flakes, they never had this kind of Taiwanese dessert. Great that they like it.

art13.jpg

Laduree also had just entered Malaysia market, and opened its first branch in Pavillion, but i didnt visit there because somehow I think Malaysia Laduree may not have the same quality of Laduree in France, so I still keep a high hope with Laduree, and wish i can visit France in future.

art14.jpg

Then, we left Pavillion around 6pm to Icon city for the art and light event.

We got a chop on our hand to access the event, but i think they did not really control the people who entered the event, well but we just followed the rules, registered online and get the access permission.

art15.jpg

We are early and the LED lights still yet to lit, but we could visit those small spacious room which they have pop-up experience and instagrammable space.

art16.jpg

Only thing is, there is a very long queue in every of this pop up art space, is held inside a small room but with full of pop art experience like below.

This room was named - Planet Vertica, we were surrounded with the galaxy in the room with giant horse statue.

art17.jpg

To be honest, you not just need a good camera (or phone come with good camera) but also a good photographer, mum was so struggled to take my photo because the light was so dim and hard to focus.

art18.jpg

We did not get very long time to take all these photos, every visitor is only allowed to stay in the room for maximum 15mins and they will be asked to leave by the workers.

Basically there will be 2 - 3 workers in charge in every room, and my brother was one of it.

art19.jpg

He in charged the room called - Galaxy of centura, with lots of giant inflatable balls, and they actually dont really have a path in this room, they just used all these giant ball to fill up the room.

The light in this room is much more dim than the previous, and the color of the lights kept changing, sometimes in blue, sometimes in red, then yellow.

art20.jpg

This one is captured in blue, indeed need a perfect timing to snapshot a good photo.

art21.jpg

This one captured in yellow because my brother took it, we found him in this room and realized he actually in charging this room, before that we actually don't know where he would be.

art22.jpg

This photo immediately become my OOTD. LOL

art40.jpg

Then, my elder brother and his family arrived, and we joined them in the outdoor.

art23.jpg

This lit up ring swing is also very attractive, people is lining up for this. When it come to my niece's turn, the swing light actually not working.

art24.jpg

What a poor organization and no one come to fix it immediately. Oh well, then i miss the chance to take with the swing.

But the surrounding LED flowers were lit, but they were not as amazing as what i discovered in DDP, Seoul, Korea.

art25.jpg

But my niece happily enjoying the light, kept saying " mei mei" (beautiful in mandarin)

art26.jpgart39.jpg

She also very happy with the Digi wishing tree, with lots of long yellow ribbon.

art27.jpg

art28.jpg

There was also a kid zone - Vista Interactive Space wall, where kids or adults can colored different vehicles and sending their artwork to the projected innovative wall.

art30.jpg

Loey is so happy to able to color the car.

art29.jpg

While they were spending sometimes there, mum and I went to upstairs for other interactive pop up showrooms.

This is also quite instagrammable, Anti gravity room

art31.jpg

but this is not a room, is more like a kiosk, and i find here really messy. They should have use room to separate different themed room, instead of just using divider.

art32.jpg

D'sara music and light is not that fun, the lights somehow is not sensitive, i saw lots of people keep jumping on it ==

art33.jpg

art34.jpg

Dimension room is another popular spot, but to be honest, i dont find it that attractive.

art35.jpg

art36.jpg

Icon city actually located very near to LDP highway, and the event was carried out at the top floor and we are able to spot LDP clearly from here.

art37.jpg

We didnt stay long for the event, dad found it boring, and we cant stand waiting for the queue just for photos. So we left and went for dinner

art38.jpg

However, i still enjoyed the night, and i also bought lots of things today.

art41.jpg

Bought a long wallet for myself after nearly 3 years, previously i bought a fossil short wallet but it was not that convenient for me as it did not have a long pocket to place my paper notes.

art42.jpg

This Charles & Keith wallet just perfectly fit the paper note, only thing i am dissatisfied is there is only one compartment, i actually still love my current Charles & Keith wallet which i bought 3 years ago, however its cover started to be worn out. So, is time.

art43.jpg

I also finally found this! I always want to have this tea filter, I saw this in a cafe before, now i only realized it was bought from Daiso! COOL!

art44.jpg

I bought the tea pot shaped instead of the house shape, and now i can enjoy my tea in office =)

art45.jpg

Then I also found this European iconic buidling book stand at Daiso, I really think Pavillion Daiso has more stuffs compared to Pyramid's or Aeon Klang's.

art46.jpg

Finally get the make up puff washer, i bought the brush cleaner last time but did not buy the pink one, then only realized it is necessary to have one.

art47.jpg

Also have bought phone cover again today! LOL, the bottom case in blue was from Daiso, while the 2 on top are from Typo. Quite surprised they actually doing sales for their phone cases, i really find their case was very ordinary and overpriced. I was so excited when i saw them discounted until i accidentally bought a case in 6s size (the middle) ==. Oh well =D

Different from last year, the annual dinner cum retreat took place at Tambun resort, Ipoh this year.

As what I expected, I was chosen as one of the committee, representing for R&D/QA department.

To be honest, I didnt do much job as a committee mainly because the event was kinda being in charged by the resort, they said they would arrange most of the things, and our very "responsible" chairman kept telling us not to worried.

Hence, i was not really care about the event, especially 2 weeks before today, I was travelling in Korea.

It was until last week that I only found out a lots of things were not falling at the right place, everything were not organized correctly, and unfortunately the chairman was over-confident that everything would be fine.

I came quite early this morning, most of the staffs also arrived on time.

annual1.jpg

IMG_6517.JPG

IMG_6521.JPG

IMG_20171110_072354.jpg

However, the bus was late, we departed 1 hour late in schedule.

annual2.jpgIMG_6513.JPG

We (the rest of committee) actually highlighted and reminded the chairman that the distance would be more than 3 hours especially it is a bus ride.

Nevertheless, the chairman still eagle to place the itinerary for the travel at 2.30 hours.

It was almost 11am when we stopped at the R&R for breakfast, we were 2 hours behind the schedule.

Then, the chairman did not worry about the affected schedule, yet did not think about calling the organizer at Tambun regarding our late arrival.

To be honest, I was really pissed today, I knew he is not reliable but still surprised he was such a loser.

What even shocking was after reaching Tambun around 12pm, the so called organizer did not have a microphone or speaker, she was yelling and shouting at 120 of us to tell us what to do, where to place our luggage.

annual3.jpg

annual4.jpg

It was a mess, a total mess. Yet, the chairman did not do anything. =/=

After sometime, we finally got to settle down our belongings at the ball room and gathered at the Tambun themepark for a group photo, then proceed to telematch session.

annual5.jpg

Another ridiculous thing happened here was the chairman was doing shopping when everyone walked to where the telematch took place.

The organizer was seeking for the chairman, and couldnt find one, Luckily the rest of committee were around, and could locate where to have lunch etc.

Chairman, the childish one who was happily shopping around, only present himself after 2 game sessions, @@

Back to the telematch, there were 4 games in total, some involved water, while some were perfect dry.

But i guess due to game, the staffs were high, they were having so much fun with the water and sand, lol.

annual9.jpg

There are 6 teams in total, I was in the red team.

annual6.jpg

annual8.jpg

I only participated in the last game, which is coconut bowling.

annual7.jpg

Actually i was also being hit by the coconut, such a pain, lol.

After the telematch, it was lunch time, the food was just ok.

annual10.jpg

I was busy composing the presentation slide for the dinner session, so i didnt border to play at the themepark, but most of the staffs including the irresponsible chairman were having fun with the water slide and so.

I thought it would be fine for the rest of the day but i was so wrong.

annual11.jpg

We could not get to check in to our room until 5.15pm! The worst was the registration for the annual dinner was set at 6pm! We were waiting very impatiently at the corridor of the ball room.

There's nothing we could do beside waiting.

After I got my key, I was rushing down my presentation slide, at the same time need to shower and put on make up.

IMG_6557.JPG

This is how our room looks like (photo was captured the second day), I was sharing the room with Li Yin.

Honestly, I dont know how I managed to finish up everything, I just know when I reached the registration booth to prepare for the attendance list, my boss and the chairman were there arranging the masks for the night, with very smelly face.

annual12.jpg

I did not talk much, pass the labtop which containing the presentation slide to the chairman, and immediately sat at the booth and prepare to take attendance.

IMG_20171110_175202.jpg

Most of the staffs had arrived, they actually have gotten their room keys way earlier than me.

Another shocking news was the ball room was not decorated as what the organizer claimed! The chairman was very dissapointed and he refused to enter the room when most of the staffs had registered and went inside the room.

I was not able to move myself because there are still some staffs havent turned up, and really mad at the chairman.

He was so childish and while he was not around at the ball room, our company driver who well known of alcoholic had a fight with the MC!

Luckily another committee was around to calm down them and the MC did not leave the event.

IMG_6687.JPG

IMG_6691.JPG

The night did carry out smoothly after that, but there was also mistake happened during the lucky draw sessions.

Due to the fight caused by the driver, he was not told to leave the dinner immediately, and our lovely GM refused to take part in the lucky draw.

Hence, 2 draws were missing, but we forgot to remove the draw from the lucky draw bowl ==

So there were no winner for the 2nd Prize and 3rd Prize. =S

Hopefully no one find out and further investigate it. ==

For the lucky draw, I only won a RM60 Aeon cash voucher, well, better than nothing.

After the lucky draw, mainly is photo sessions, the dancing session was very short only, felt like this year dinner was really bad.

IMG_6532.JPG

Especially with my lovely GM, Tristan, joining the dinner for the last time. He will leave the position and back to NZ end of the year, really miss him!

IMG_6695.JPG

IMG_6698.JPG

IMG_6702.JPG

IMG_6703.JPG

IMG_6704.JPG

The mask which was offered for the night, idea from the stupid chairman, actually broke easily. Guess what, he insist to make the night in masquerade theme in order to wear the stupid and loussy mask and spent RM600 for the bloody masks !

Asshole, i really couldnt forgive what he had done. Such an irresponsible and stupid jerk.

Regardless how bad was the night, we still had lots of fun.

IMG_6705.JPG

IMG_20171110_210727.jpg

IMG_20171110_211103.jpg

IMG_20171110_211158.jpg

IMG_20171110_212027_1.jpg

IMG_20171110_212207.jpg

IMG_20171110_212302.jpg

The night ended around 10pm, which was very early. Liyin, Elsa and I were not satisfied with the limited beer, so we actually Uber to the nearest 7-11 and get some beer and extra snack.

Then, Poi Yee joined us in the late night at our room for girls talk.

I guess this maybe is the last time all of us gather around as Elsa is not going to be around after her internship ended, and Poi Yee would refuse to join us other time, but she was forced to this time as it was a company event.

Maybe just me and Li Yin then, lol.

Yeah, definitely happy since yesterday, because it was whole day training and today also very relaxing because i am going for an exhibition off site!!

More fun to add on is, I do not need to wear the freaking ugly uniform!! YES!!

Honestly, I really hate wearing uniform, felt so relief everytime when i remove the uniform~ I just dont like the concept of having uniform, we are no longer in school, and i am opposing this kind of unity principle, such a lame objective. Do you really think by wearing that uniform meaning you are united or engaged at work? No to me, and is so troublesome that i need to iron the uniform every weekend ==

yeah, my main reason is I am really lazy to iron, and i hate wearing it because i looks ugly on it =(

So gain a bonus today because i not need to wear it as there is a company logo on the uniform and we are going to an exhibition at KL convention center where all our competitors would be around.

It is the FHM exhibition - food and hotel show, and it was quite huge, more than 1200 companies from 50 countries were taking part in the exhibition and it was held for 4 days.

The exhibition covers mostly all the halls including the upstairs.

There are many booth displaying baking goods, including our competitors. I am really curious why my company did not take part because i do think it is a great opportunity to introduce our products to the public.

Unless the company think our products are not competent enough or too great to show to public. Oh well, I am not sales incharge, let me just focus on the R&D.

Basically, we just eat and having fun, this is my concept, but i think my boss is taking it too serious. She really only focus on the baking parts, and kinda refuse to eat other food which i think was really BORING!

How come she became a R&D personel if she dont even enjoy food hunting and exploring? Plus, this is all FREE, why she need to be so particular? Moreover, if she is such a person just let yourself be, why you want to limit us too?!

Well, she didnt really stop us to try out other food or see other things, is just you can see her face when we are trying out other food.

She was like: you guys come here to eat ah? == Otherwise what? We come here to see all the baking part and gone is it? You travel an hour long to come here and there are so many excited stuff to be explored and is free, why not!?

I really dont like this kind of thinking, so job focus and not fun at all!

Thank god is only this time she come with us, otherwise it would be so struggling to travel with her.

Here come the photos:

IMG_4082.JPG

IMG_4084.JPG

IMG_4086.JPG

Basically my colleagues only took photo of interesting bakings, but for me, i like to take exciting stuff too just like this giant fish below!

IMG_4090.JPG

Actually there was a tuna cutting show too, but i was not able to see because it was not work related, damn it. Hence i just took this photo when we quickly passed by but my colleague, Poi Yee was judging me, saying i was pervert. WTF, dont you think it is very random to see such big fish and exciting show? These people have no fun in their life. I mean if you have no interest also please dont judge other people, show some respect please.

IMG_4091.JPG

when taking these cakes, then Poi Yee said I am normal again, ==

IMG_4092.JPG

There were many booths, and quite a number of them provided free samples, with some little finger food here and there, i was full after finished viewing all the booths.

However, it was not the end, there was also a long display of creative cake decor outside the hall. I didnt take many photos as my colleagues really would judge me, so I only took a little

IMG_4094.JPG

Japan and France in one cake, so matched my dream destinations =)

IMG_4095.JPG

IMG_4096.JPG

This is actually chocolate! What a detailed skill~

That's all from the FHM, i had lot of fun despite of my boring boss claimed it was nothing much.

We started around 10.30am, and finished about 2pm, and we were more like by passing the booths, only stop at those we thought was informative and grab food samples very quickly.

Then, is time for lunch, ya we had lunch even though most of us already full, but i think my boss was starving because she didnt grab any food samples.

We went to Nyonya colors because there were less people. and I snapped this cute wall while being judged again, but this time by my boss.

IMG_4100.JPG

But dont you think it is very cute? Come on, is my phone and I like to take whatever i want !

Ok, just ignore them because i am happy~ hehe

I had assam laksa which i think was ok, and seems better than the nyonya color i had in Aeon Bukit Raja, is it mean KLCC would have better quality? hmmm.

After this we straight back to office, and arrived around 4pm, meaning i only left an hour plus for work~ woohoo!!

At 5.30pm sharp, i left on time to meet Huey Yee at Tesco extra Puchong, it had been a while since i last met her.

We had dinner at Bumbu Bali, where is actually the same family with Ole Ole Bali at Sunway Pyramid/Empire Subang.

I had tried out Ole Ole Bali for 3 times, and this is my first time trying out their in house favourite barley lime drink.

IMG_4103.JPG

Not bad, but not really outstanding.

We did not had too much food because their portion is quite huge, so we just shared one entree and one main.

For entree, we got the Tipat Cantuk, a warm Balinese vegetable salad with grilled chicken, deep fried tofu, rice cake and hard boiled egg, served with Tamarind peanut dressing.

IMG_4105.JPG

I think this dish was just ok, a bit pricy because you can get this kind of rojak at food stalls outside the street but with more reasonable price.

While for main, we ordered the Siap Mepanggang, cant deny their BBQ chicken is really tasty, while the rest is the normal Balinese sald with rice.

IMG_4107.JPG

I actually think Ole-ole Bali/Bumbu Bali/Bali spices are quite pricy for dining, because the food is not really that outstanding, and portion is large for 1 person, but actually not really enough for 2 persons sharing.

As i plan to have dessert later so i am fine with not eating that much. plus i was really full from the late lunch, otherwise, 1 main and 1 entree definitely is not enough for me.

For dessert, finally i visited this place - Mykori dessert cafe~

We had the signature melon bingsu, i always love shaved ice, and this melon bingsu is actually quite ordinary.

IMG_4110.JPG

Basically is just melon on shaved ice, with some natalie coco in it. Great that the melon is sweet, but the shaved ice actually is just like those cendol shave ice, nothing special.

The waitress told me the portion is good enough for 2 persons, but it was not that huge as I thought, i couldnt eat much mainly because i was partially full, or else, i could finish the whole thing.

I wouldnt say it was over-rated because i only tried one of the bingsu, but not really outstanding i would say.

But still very great that Huey Yee come with me tonight, and she was so shocked to find out tomorrow is my birthday.

LOL, ya i was kinda having a pre-celebration, but i am fine with her not aware of my big day. I think i had kinda changed my mind set, i used to be very sad when people forgetting my birthday, but as i grew older, i am kinda letting go of that. Meaning at the same time, i also less taking care about others birthday. Not sure if it is a good thing or not.

Oh well, that's all for today, another receiving for myself today is the Kettle brand chips from FHM. I was so stupid to think that it is same as the Copper Kettle chips i had in NZ ==

RM10 for this is not a promotional price, stupid me to believe that guy who distributing it in Malaysia =S

IMG_4119.JPG

Great taste...maybe, i still prefer my copper kettle.

For the first time, i took part in a musical instrument workshop, i am really proud of myself today.

I always want to learn guitar during high school but investing a guitar during school time was too pricy thus i still not financial independent that time.

So, i just leave that mindset in my puberty dream, but sometimes would think that if i am able to play guitar will be cool.

I think Mayday, my idol, a taiwanese popular band are the one that inspired my guitar dream, and i never think of learning piano or other instruments

Then, soon as i grown up, i kinda forgot the guitar dream, then first knew about ukulele when Huey Jen told me that she want to learn that when i met her in Dunedin before i heading Malaysia for good.

When i first knew about ukulele, i was kinda "look down" on it, because i took it as a toy. But somehow, also interested to find out more as it looks like a mini guitar.

So, i think i actually got interest to learn it, when Wei Lan, my high school friend share about this workshop on facebook, without hesitation, i approached Wei Lan for more information,

The class was initially held in early May but somehow it was postponed to today. However, it still did not stop my passion to learn this cute instrument.

After had lunch with Wei Lan, we went to Dolce Music - the musical college opened by Wei Li an's friend at Setia Alam.

IMG_3313.JPG

Look at the musical and colorful staircases, so cute~

Thankful that Dolce Music allowed me to borrow their ukulele, i forgotten to snap a photo of the ukulele i borrowed.

IMG_3297.JPG

IMG_3349.JPG

Wei Lan is also my teacher for the workshop today, i knew she had been playing ukulele for sometime, but i first found out that she got such a good skill and good vocal.

Image may contain: 3 people, people smiling, people sitting

Image may contain: 3 people

She really patient to teach us the skill and also gave many tips to remember the useful musical note and terms.

Actually it is not that hard to learn, just need lots of practice, and passion =D

For sure, the fingers will be suffered, i think recently i really hurt my poor fingers a lot. Since i had been strongly involved in baking because of the chocolate cake mess i screwed, then it was the crochet and still on going for granny square. Now is the ukulele string. But i also realized a better quality ukulele had a softer string which is more easily to be played.

U guess it right, i am thinking and likely to invest an ukulele because it is fun to play with and really destressed!

It is really simple if compared with guitar, it just need to have more practice and learn to play even faster.

Just realize i had learnt a lot of things this year, swimming (but did not success), crochet/knitting, then ukulele. Now still planning to learn Japanese and wagashi, and if got chance, learn pottery and clay art too.

IMG_3298.JPG

Life indeed colorful and wonderful =)

Yesterday definitely was a lucky day for me because i had a date with Minions at night =D

Thanks to Karen, lucky her won 2 premier movie tickets for Despicable Me 3, and lucky me got invited by her for the movie =P

Actually we had planned to watch the movie together on this coming weekend, maybe minions heard us, and let us to meet them in advance =) lol

This was also my first time watching a premier movie, indeed my lucky day right!?

When Karen asked me about this 2 days ago I was a bit hesistate because it at One Utama and the movie start at 915pm which is quite late if considering the distance going home after the movie.

However, i thought we shouldnt miss out the chance, like what Karen said, we would have a crazy night lol.

I went to One U straight after work, my waze really love kampung (village) road, i drove through the narrow road and lead me to new wing.

I was very struggled to reach old wing, because according to some of those people reviewing on the websites, the best parking for TGV cinema is at old wing orange area.

Maybe it was not too hard to go new wing from old wing, i accidentally found the connection route between both buildings. Phew~

Of course the guards were very helpful to lead the way, after like almost 15mins turned in here and there, i found the orange area parking lots, and lucky got many cars left at the time i found that area.

Karen arrived like half an hour later as i finished half an hour earlier than her, then we went for dinner first

I finally able to try out Senya, it was recommended by Ken, and also another Tinder guy i met online.

IMG_1698.JPG

I had the signature Hokkaido pork don, short grain rice served with lots of BBQ grilled pork fillet and also ajitama (japanese half boiled egg).

IMG_1700.JPG

This is definitely a man's choice, because the grilled pork fillet is really tasty, rich and oily hehe. But i enjoyed it! The portion is huge! No wonder those guys highly recommend it.

Karen had sanma  (mackerel) set instead, her fish is also not bad, very big and juicy.

I think i will bring dad to dine in here next time because i can tell dad will definitely love the hokkaido pork don.

After the dinner, it was time to go collect the ticket and enjoy the movie! I really thought the movie is screened in TGV, and i was so shocked to find out there are 2 cinemas in One U!

This mall indeed insane, no wonder so many people love to come here! Luckily Karen was not blurred as me, she found out the tickets are from GSC and quickly gone to GSC.

IMG_1701.JPG

While for me, is time to grab dessert! I rushed all the way to Pablo, this is the their first overseas chain in Malaysia. I always want to visit here since it opened early this year, but after seeing those crowd photos on facebook, i decided to wait for some time.

I was right because there was no one when i went there, not sure is it because the heat was over, or because it was still dinner time.

I picked the classic cheese tart smoothies because i want drinks as i am going to bring it into the cinema although i really tempting to buy their cakes too.

I think the lucky god come to me again, apparently their freshly baked chocolate cheese tart was doing 50% promotion, oh yeah, of course grab one!

Initially i was wondering should i get one because considering i am bringing it with me in the cinema, but i should grab the chance so i did hehe.

IMG_1702.JPG

The smoothies was not that great as i thought, maybe because i didnt mix it before i suck, but i really think it tasted like medicine, Karen thought that too.

IMG_1711.JPGIMG_1713.JPG

As for the chocolate cheese tart i tried this morning for my breakfast, not sure if it was because my fridge was not that cold, i found the cheese was really fluffy, somehow like mousse instead of cheese texture.

It was a bit cracked because i think it was so fragile and maybe i drove too fast and cracked it =P

But overall taste not bad, although i still think it was not as rich as the mini Pablo chocolate cheese tart i had in Japan, but with Malaysia standard, i think it was good enough.

IMG_1714.JPG

Moreover, i love how they embeded the chocolate chunk at the bottom. =P

Back to the movie, i rushed again to GSC after buying my dessert because Karen had collected the ticket and also lining up for photo session with the minions mascot.

Lucky again because the moment i reached GSC, Karen spotted me in such a huge crowd, and less than 5mins time, is our turn to take photo =D

Ohh, the minions mascot dressed in Jail pyjamas are so cute =)

IMG_1706.JPG

IMG_1705.JPG

My colleague was so envy today when she saw my photo uploaded in Facebook last night, sorry =P I must say i am lucky =)

The movie was not bad, maybe i was expecting more because i kinda figure out the story, but if take in as point of entertainment view, it was actually very entertaining and delightful.

I specially love how those minions performed in musical way, and Agnes was so funny this time lol.

It was a movie that full of laughter and joy, i enjoyed this 90mins, and thank you so much for inviting me for such amazing event  =)

IMG_1710.JPG

Even the premier ticket is so special =D

Another long known friend is taken in the past weekend, and here I go again, being a bride maid for the 3rd time.

According to unknown chinese culture, this marked the last time i become a bridemaid, otherwise i would not get married.

However, that's a very superstitious belief and i still have a few besties still not get married yet and i believe this would not be my last time to be a bridemaid.

Anyways, back to the topic, is Cheryl's wedding and i had left almost my entire weekend for her since Friday after work.

Thank god today is public holiday, the past 3 days was really tiring!

I purposely went to work early on Friday, so that i could leave at 3.30pm, however, i dint get a good sleep on Thursday night. Friday was very busy for me too.

Then, i drove all the way to Mont Kiara to the condomidium Cheryl rented over for the gate crashing section and also accommodating her relatives.

IMG_1656.JPG

The condo is actually quite flash, very modern interior, cozy and comfy to stay. There are total of 5 rooms in the condo which enough to accomodate all Cheryl's relatives from Ipoh.

I actually stayed over my Aunt's house at PJ on Friday night because i couldnt afford the long distance driving between mont kiara to my home at Klang.

Mainly because i have to arrive by 730am at Mont Kiara again the next day, so the shorter the distance is better.

Another reason is also because i think the grab car rate from Klang to Mont Kiara is way too expensive, i could drive maybe 4 times the same distance using my own car.

IMG_1657.JPG

The bridemaid meeting session on Friday night somehow is not really necessary but maybe helpful as all of us are first met and also can give some help for the decoration in the house.

IMG_1675.JPG

IMG_1676 (1).JPG

We did prepare some of the game tools for the next day at the night, then i back the earliest, left at 9 ish and arrive my aunt's hse at 930.

i actually chatted with my aunt until 12am and i think i sleep around 1am, but not really smooth sleep that i got, i woke up around 6am.

After some minimal make up, i drove to mont kiara again for the gate crashing and wedding ceremony.

IMG_1660.JPG

Cheryl also woke up early for the hair styling and make up while the remain of us had breakfast and dress up as bridemaid.

I think i was very lucky, i was so fed up with the bridemaid dress I received early last month because Cheryl had ordered the wrong design and size for me.

However, i was not the only one who received the wrong size/design, Carly, another bridemaid also had the same fate as I do.

But I actually have 2 bridemaid dresses with me because Cheryl had extra, initially she thought the extra dress is M-sized because she ordered L-sized for me.

Then, i realized the extra dresses also is L-sized. That's why i was really frustrated last month and i didnt even check what design was the dress.

I was kind to offer Carly the dress i took because Carly was given a M-sized dress but in fact she need a L.

So she took mine and i realized Cheryl might be right, i could not fit into the M-sized dress too damn!

Really sorry for Jing En (cheryl's sis) that she had to go to the car park to dig out the extra dress for me, and also help to iron it ==

Why i said i was lucky, because other than being L-sized, the extra dress is actually the design i requested!!

IMG_1678.JPG

I am also very sorry to Carly because i think this dress should be belong to her, but Cheryl messed up lol.

Thank god she seems not very care about it. Oh well, we just wear for the morning ceremony and appeared in the photos and videos and most importantly, we are not that important as the bride~

Back to the wedding, Cheryl is real hot today!

IMG_1664.JPG

The gate crashing session was smooth, we managed to finish all the games on time because we was so worried that we run out of time to "torture" the groom and his fellows lol.

We were very linear, and we kinda need to beg the groom for the extra cash lol

IMG_1680.JPG

Most interesting is the groom who had lived in Aussie now gave us Aussie dollar! Hmm, good to have but how to split?

IMG_1666.JPG

IMG_1665.JPG

SO, cheryl's wedding ceremony was finished very smoothly, and the next day is the wedding lunch.

IMG_1683.JPG

Somehow i was glad is lunch time rather than dinner because I can finally rest after the lunch.

The most challenging part for me is to marching with a stranger in the lunch section, wth!

I dont know why Cheryl come out with such idea, but is her wedding , and for the sake of being her besties, i have to give in this as well.

The marching was kinda embrassing for me, and i realized i walked too fast and the guy partner up with me kept telling me to slow down and he was so slow that i have to kinda pull him.

I also dislike the feeling that we have to walked arm in arm, but the guy just left his arm down, looks like i was the one so desiring to arm his arm.

Thank god is all over, the wedding, the gate crashing, the photo session, the lunch and everything.

Time to rest!!

Lol, seems like i was like complaining so much about the wedding, in fact, i am glad with Cheryl's decision.

I really hope this short developed relationship can last long and move to a further chapter for Cheryl. All the best.

IMG_1337.JPG

Finally! And yes, i accomplished one of my target this year!

Actually, it was not as hard as I expected. I had joined marathon in my past 2 years, but i only did once a year, and both were 5kms.

IMG_1314.JPG

To be honest, it was a pain in ass to do so, because i couldnt run continuously, somehow i would be hard to breath, or suffered for cram legs.

However, for this time, i think it was quite smooth. Of course i did not run the 10km non stop, i possibly just run continuously for the first 2k....

Well, it was very confusing, because the board showing the kms remain was really very hard to tell, as it also mixed up with the half marathon board.

I actually felt very exhausted in the middle of the marathon, it was really hard to keep going, because it was really a distance!

But this Standard Charted marathon is overwhelmed, many people, and most of them were running seriously.

IMG_1315.JPG

Woke up at 415am this morning, thanks to chih yong who also participating for 10k so that i do not have to worry how to come all the way to KL in the middle of the night.

Drawback was i had to wait for an hour plus to get started, because Chih Yong is in the speed category while i was laid back, in the leisure category.

But there's no difference between the categories, it was just different cut-off time, but in the end we all get a same piece of medal.

I guess my weekly training indeed improve my stamina, i did get slightly stomach cramped but just for a while only, then i was able to run again.

Only thing i am not satisfied with myself was i was not able to keep running, i used to stop after a while, or set up some landmark for me to stop, this is not good.

I guess i am a person who really lazy and like to make excuse, or i shall say i over protecting myself until i actually limiting my capability?

What's made me think so? Because I realized after i kept running for a while, my leg was actually not that pain, i was not that tired and i actually think i could keep running but i chose to walk instead =(

I was really grateful with the rain, because it made me kept running, especially the rain started to turn heavy in the last 1km, i just run like really avoiding the rain.

Usually in my past marathon, i always suffering in the last 1km, especially when it near the end point, but this time, i think i really can do it.

Overall, i am very happy with my achievement today, proud of myself, but think i could do better.

I used 1 hr 45mins to finish 10k, half run, half walking....but generally i think i am fine, not suffering from pain or cramp.

I actually kinda shocked when i noticed from someone's phone that it was just 38mins when i almost finished 5km, meaning i actually got lots of improvement as i used more than an hour for 5km last year.

Alright, no matter how, mission accomplished, i am happy and i am looking forward for next marathon.

Not sure if i am joining anyone soon within the rest of the year as now is just May, maybe i shall join 1 in September or November then.

I also need to continue train up myself! =)

Woke up real early this morning, actually dint get much sleep too, was late when we were allocated to our acco last night.

I think another reason is also because I was too excited about being the bridemaid today lol.

This morning was actually a hassle because I forgot my passcode on my iphone and it become disable for almost half day!

I finally only retrieved it by erase of the memory and restart as a new phone, hence losing all the precious photos! Luckily I dint capture much, just too bad I lost some of the photos of Yantian too.

We took so many photos today, even before the groom arrived.

The gate crashing activities was very smooth, all the brothers were very cooperative while their red packet was big too.

We went to Hua Ren High school for further photo sessions too, where wann zhen met her husband.

They had been together since in high school, up to now, it's been 15 years!

There was also lots of ants at the campus, we were really busy helping wann zhen to clear all the ants that attacked her beautiful gown.

I was neglected to wear the uniform as bridemaid dress at first, somehow thought it was very lame.

But after wearing today, felt like back to youth~

Given that it was also a modern uniform like those in Taiwanese drama

There are total of 9 of us, including a guy which really surprised me, as i thought bridemaids must be all girls. In this case, Kok Chin should have joined us for Cheen wedding last year.

Really happy wann zhen chose me to be her bridemaid too =D

We spent almost an hour at the campus and then back to the groom house where we had lunch.

Then we even gone to Gopeng for more food, == but still happy to discover this small town where's Carmen's hometown.

After that, it was tonight grand dinner session!

No automatic alt text available.

I was kinda guilty that as a bride maid, i did not offer any help on the decor at the hotel for dinner, but gone to Gopeng, and wasting lots of time on preparation for the night.

In fact, I should have helped along the other bridemaids who were wann zhen high school mates, they must had spent lots of effort of the decor. Thank you!

It is really very beautiful~

Image may contain: 2 people, table and indoor

The mc who was wann zhen best friend, also one of our bridemaid, is really good in creating the atmosphere and had a good speaking skill.

Food overall were not bad, the live band also very fantastic,

We were assigned to a table with Kent's (wann zhen husband) friends, and apparently they requested to have a speed dating table. ==

Well, had some fun conversation, especially for Yantian who could not stand with one of the guy who kept teasing her.

It was good night tho although we dint get any number exchange or deep knowing any guys, but come on, we are here for the wedding, for our friend's big day.

I am still happy with wann zhen's good news, had known her for almost 10 years, and knew some of the stories between her and Kent, especially while Kent come over NZ for the first time, I was there.

THis lovely and sweet couple had finally moved into the new chapter officially and I am sincerely happy for them.

Take care and I wish you have a happy life in NZ, hope to see you again soon, finger crossed the next time i find your hubby for photography, it would be me holding someone's hand =)

Happy new year everyone!

I had made a move which shocked myself that I decided to accept Vanes's invitation for BBQ event at her friend's hse.

To be specific, i dunno her friends, i think i only knew 4 people among 15 of us....this was really akward and unbelievable.

It was Vanes's idea that i should be more opened minded when come to meeting new friends especially guys.

I always felt uneasy when meeting up someone (mainly male) who i never know, and i would be very introvert and created a hard shell to hide my true self.

Somehow, I decided not to be that kind of girl anymore, I wanna move out from my comfort zone, I want to be different in 2017.

Vanes's friend, Brandon, set up the BBQ at his courtyard of his semi-d house at Setia Eco world.

I must say anyone who bought house in this area , including KC is damn rich, the park was so beautiful, the environment was so peaceful, i can imagine running here in the morning is so relaxing.

His family was too kind, even prepared a chinese treasure pot, something we used to eat during cny if you are rich enough

IMG-20161231-WA0004.jpg

There were abalone, brocolli, prawns, shitakke mushrooms, dried oysters, duck, sea cucumber, dried scallop etc, this pot cost RM600!! Aunty and Uncle, you were too kind!

And the BBQ was not those simple fish ball or sausage we used to have, there were steak and lamb chop! OMG. Indeed house of rich society.

Wefie time, here the bunch of us~

IMG-20170101-WA0007.jpg

IMG-20170101-WA0008.jpg

Basically, I only knew the 3 persons standing on my left hand side,

It you thought that was the end then you were wrong, Setia Eco world club even set up a free countdown event with musics, live stage, various free eateries stall from coffee, pop corn, candy floss to soft serve. There were also free fireworks!!!

Oh not to mentione the free party snowy spray provided for crazy people.

I did not wanna get spray or spraying anyone, I always wanna escape from this type of madness activity.

However, I couldnt control other, i got spray at the end too, and i revenged =P

So ended up, everyone got sprayed, and actually it was quite fun.

IMG-20170101-WA0003.jpg

IMG-20170101-WA0006.jpg

It was my first time but i actually enjoying it....somehow i realized i restrained myself too much, i shall be opened minded.

JUst like the gathering tonight, ended up i talked a lot with the guys, though it was because of the common topic involved with work, because one of the guy is a chef.

But i am surprised of myself being so outspoken too.

You never try you never know dont u?

Happy new year 2017. You will be great!

So is the festive season again, and is time for present hunting and "thanks giving" lol

I actually already got the present prepared, it was a left over gift which should be given to my ex-boss, but I had decided not to do so because I hate her lol.

Then, I used this gift for this year xmas gift exchange with the "girls only" group.

Since last year, we started this session and I enjoyed it actually, though thinking what to buy is really a headache.

Bean and I went for gift hunting on past Tuesday at Setia City mall, i could feel how stressed was bean to choose present for these bunch of girls who are really picky...hmmm

I also topped up another small item - a cute sketchable calendar simply because I actually kinda wish I could receive this kind of gift.

Tonight was the night for the receiving and surprise.

IMG-20161222-WA0007.jpg

There were so many gifts tonight, from UK, P.Langkawi and Taiwan and Local....lol

Siew Teng brought this special christmas creative card from Taiwan for us as souvenier.

20161222_200905.jpgIMG-20161222-WA0010.jpg

Both snow globe shaped cards were so cute, but too bad the one i liked (on top, blue one) was taken by Bean, so I gave up both snow globes shaped and chose a xmas tree shaped which is also very good looking.

20161228_211142.jpg

20161228_211254.jpg

20161228_211323.jpg

I had tang yuen before went to Shepherdoo so was kinda full hence I only had a bowl of salad tonight.

20161222_201319.jpg

Then, after dinner, is time to reveal the presents!

IMG_20161222_223432.jpg

Basically we picked a number, and the people who got number 1 would be the first person to choose the gift she/he liked, and the 2nd person had the right to steal the present which the 1st person chose after he/she opened it.

Yes, everyone must reveal the present.!

Once the present the 1st person being stolen by the second person, he/she can choose another presents but this would be permanent and no one can steal it again. Then the nxt person to choose present would be the 3rd person, and he/she could not steal the present of 1st or 2nd person.

I was the 6th person this time, but considered lucky to able to choose a good present.

I got present prepared by Siew Teng, is a bracelet from Lovisa. Thank you, i really like it =D

20161228_211109.jpg

I guess the worst present of tonight was the starbuck cards which last second prepared by Kok Chin and also pre-prepared by Jia Chyi.

Both of them even picked the same design as gift ==

IMG-20161222-WA0012.jpg

I am pretty sure gift card would be banned next year lol.

Chyi got the prepared by myself, hope she really like it.

IMG-20161222-WA0025.jpg

Last not the least, merry xmas everyone.
