I will summarized the foods and desserts I had with Huey Yee, my uni-mate, at where we had gather so far since I back home in this post.

I am grateful that I still have a fren in common for food hunting, studied the same course, interested in R&D field in Malaysia.

Huey Yee is lovely and good listener, I felt sorry sometimes I talked too much and missed what she had been to in her life.

Luckily she is kind and generous, meeting up with her always sound great and fun.

I sincerely thankful she is around, though we are not frequently meeting up, we have endless topic to share, is always exciting to hear what's going on in each other life.

After our first meet up in September last year, we met up in December last year before christmas.

That was also how we planned our Xmas trip to visit wann zhen in our gathering.

We had dinner at K-street cafe which is located at Asian Avenue in Sunway Pyramid. We randomly picked the place as elsewhere are full of people.

Different from other cuisine, this cafe serves more street food which actually cheaper than other Korean cuisine.

Surprisingly, their rabboki which also my first tried was quite good although it looks dull and pathetic.

I also have the Korean soft drink, Milkis, very creamy =)

Then, for dessert, we continued our korean meal journey to Cafe Benne, where I had wanted to visit so long ago.

Cafe Benne is an originated Korean cafe, and had opened quite a number of chains in Malaysia.

Their bingsu are too attractive to me, I dint think twice to order myself one.

This is way too big!!! I would love to share, but ended up I also finished the whole glass, lol =D

Even now, as I am reblogging this, I still smell the sweetness and creamy texture in my mouth!

The greentea bingsu is well served, you may think they are just shaved ice and whipped cream, but in fact, there is green tea ice cream within the cream!!

Topped with red bean paste, and generous quantity of cashew nuts and almonds pieces, together with huge portion of coarse but smooth ice, the combination is irrestitible!!

Huey Yee ordered another flavor which is the cookies and cream, come in similar size and topped with oreo cookies.

But both of us think this variety is way too sweet, so I will skip this flavor if I have a next visit.

Then after our trip in christmas, both of us were busy with jobs, and finally met each other in March this year.

This time, we had dinner in Pasta Zanmai, because their sister cuisine - Sushi Zanmai still crowded, the line was super long.

I am really impressed with our giantic appetite, how could 2 of us consumed all these!?

We both ordered a set which comes with a main meal, and complimentary Japanese pizza.

I had the mini teriyaki chicken spagetti with a mini hotate pizza while Huey Yee get herself a Mini Ebi Tempura Gomadare Pasta with Chicken teriyaki pizza.

I still preferred a western spagetti over the Japanese version, but I do enjoy their Japanese style pizza which have a thin crust but topped with generous topping.

We would love to try out their dessert, just we wanna to change the environment as Pasta Zanmai is not cozy enough =P

So we visited Dip n Dip, which is a chocolate themed cafe where serve sinful but yummy chocolate dessert which covers crepe, waffle and drinks.

Their price is not cheap though, but once a while to treat ourselves is not a bad idea.

I had their famous freezy chocolate cold drink, which personally think is quite expensive and not really that amazing.

But the dessert we ordered - the brownies crepes are real yummy!!

The chocolate is rich, smooth and creamy, sinful looking, but felt amazing having it! Who cares diet?! (in fact I do =.=)

I am still impressed with our giantic appetite on that night =.=

Finally, just very recently, which was today! I met up with Huey Yee at Empire (finally changed place).

Dinner was not worth to mention, we picked the wrong place to dine in, sigh, should have waited for Rakuzen....

But I felt better as I finally walked in Whisk.

I had been thinking to visit this cafe, but hesitated because I thought they only serve good coffee and red velvet cake, and I am not a fan of both of these.

However today I would like to knock my head hardly, the cafe is not just cozy to enjoy, they serve good ice cream!

How could I forgot they actually selling the last polka ice cream cup?!

Thanks to a post I saw open rice reporting top ten places to get nice macaron, only realized Whisk sell macaron too.

But to be honest, I dont think their macaron is good.

I like their macaron flavor because it is not too sweet, but their texture is really soft.

Perhaps some people like this kind of texture, but to me, this is not macaron.

The shell simply just break down while holding it, it is way too fragile.

Moreover, too creamy, the cream just filled up my mouth, and covered up the flavor as well as the macaron shell.

I would not go for another attempt regardless it is actually cheap as compared with other pricy macaron sold in town.

Whereas for ice cream, is my first attempt for last polka.

I have known about this brand of ice cream since I was in NZ, but not many frens around actually knew about it.

They are actually slightly under-rated compared with other well known ice cream like soft srve, inside scoop, milkcow etc out there.

Apparently their brand of ice cream are home made with 100% natural ingredient.

I personally like how they apply the Malaysia flavor into the small cup of ice cream, like pandan kaya, salted gula melaka.

I had the salted gula melaka which is well recommended by the staff, and it is yummy =)

the ice cream is actually very smooth and soft, like gelato but still very creamy, and the salted gula melaka is slightly different from usual salted caramel, the fragrance of the gula melaka is so nice and made me cant stop scooping down until the bottom of the tub.

Just one thing I wish for last polka is get the price reduced, RM9 for one small tub of ice cream is really pricy especially at current stage where Malaysia's economic is having crisis.

Of cause I would love to be a supporter of this local brand, and do respect how the inventors - 2 beautiful, passionate food lovers crafting this professional french style ice cream with their heart. <3
