It was my first birthday treat for my brother 3 mths ago who turned 19 this year, wow, what a great number, wish I could go back 19...
oh well, life do not stop for anyone, let's move forward and celebrate!
So i initiated a simple but pricy birthday treats for him, I still claimed myself as a good sister though I sometimes really felt my bro annoying...
I can tell he was very happy, especially he received other presents from his college frens on his big day.
He used to tell us that his frens did not care about him, they ignored his birthday...
Sigh, social skill is hard for him who is so naive and speak very frankly.
That's why to show my love, I offered him such a fancy meal at Miami Grill, restaurant which was opened by the famous American rapper - PitBull.
We ordered some tapas, and light meal to be shared, a good idea which we can try various food options.
The restaurants mainly sell western meal like burgers, wings, pitas, fries..etc
We had this pitas which I forgot what was the filling == , but i like the side coleslaw salads.
and also mozarella cheese stick, very cheesy and thick...
Then this grilled wings also very nice, I personally quite like buffalo wing sauce, and also like the celery stick but understand most people dont like this two ingredients.
Then we gone for dessert at Milk Cow, a Korean premium soft serve ice cream brand which recently brought into Malaysian market.
The kiosk in Sunway Pyramid is the second outlet while the first one was in Mid Valley which attracted huge crowd during its opening.
9 options provided, with a rather expensive price for soft serve ice cream, as we all know it only cost RM1 for McD soft serve.
Well, it is about Korean wave, marketing tactics, and fancy ideas.
I heard how the honeycomb soft serve was so creamy and yummy, so decided to bring this heavy eater to give a try.
Frankly speaking, the softserve itself is really authentic, I could taste the milk and cream which is not that sweet and fatty.
However, the honeycomb is way too sweet, and the soft serve itself is so little which I left almost half of the honeycomb but finished the soft serve ice cream.
The concept of the honeycomb with the soft serve indeed tempting, but I would not go for the second try.
We also ordered this - snowdrop: organic soft serve covered with cotton candy and contains jelly beans underneath.
Sounds fancy and cool, especially the idea of cotton candy in dessert or coffee is getting heat in Malaysia nowadays.
Indeed, the look of the soft serve itself is superb and amazingly presented, but the cotton candy did not melt and became so sticky.
The jelly beans are hard and not match with the cotton candy and soft serve.
It seems like just eating 3 of these ingredients in my mouth at the same time, nothing special except it looks.
Perhaps, I would go for the soft serve only if I need to try again, but the price actually made me considering for the second attempt.
Then if you think that's the end of the celebration, you were wrong.
He is a very lucky boy, who just doesnt know how lucky he is.
We had a family dinner in the weekend in a Korean BBQ house, Todam. I was so surprised dad would willing to eat in a Korean cuisine.
I missed the Korean food I had in NZ so much, always wanna eat Korean meal but frens around are not Korean meal fans.
Luckily this Korean restaurant near my house is not too bad, they have various set menu which we can enjoy various kind of Korean meal at one time.
Entree are refillable! Awesome! Their entree also quite good, I love the black beans and also steamed egg.
Seafood pancake, my top korean food! Todam's seafood pancake and kimchi pancake considered not too bad especially in Klang, where is hard to find a good Korean cuisine.
Then here come the main: spicy kimchi hot plate - I think I can have so much rice to eat with this, well done.
Actually we had gone Todam a few times after our first attempt for my brother birthday.
So far, it is a good dinner option during weekend, and their food portion is huge and can be shared among frens and family.
Overall the standard of the meal is not bad, and I am grateful already with such korean cuisine in Klang.
Once again, happy birthday little brother. Smile always =)
