thanks to the election post holiday, well not exactly today but since my company did not witness the post holiday on time, we are eligible for 2 replacement leaves.

And here come my first leave used today =D

There is a Japan expo at Pavillion starting today, so I dated my mum there via LRT as she never been to KL city via LRT.

Thanks to Pek Shan, I figured out the way to access Pavillion from KLCC.

IMG_1514.JPG

Actually the expo is not very huge, decor is also very simple, i dont think i will come all the way to KL for this expo next year unless I happened to pass by and free ==

One of the major purpose i wish to come is because of this:

IMG_1517.JPG

I do like origami, is just i am so lazy to learn to fold on my own, and i am not really confident if i could fold my own, the teacher is from the Origami Academy based at Publika, where I known for some years, and they used to hold workshops for children. Once they have workshop for adults, but the price was so expensive.

So since this is free, why not?

I do think the origami science is interesting, in fact, in real life, some people had used it on the medical, transportation industry, according to the founder of Origami Academy.

The workshop is very simple, we had 2 foldings, a rose and my mum chose frog.

IMG_1519.JPG

The orange and pink is made by the teacher, while the bottom 2, yellow and red was made by myself.....hmmmm....well i actually cant recall how i fold it now. GOSH.

IMG_1520.JPG

But i successfully made this back into its original shape all by my own, also solve mum's lol

IMG_1524.JPG

It would be even exicited if i could win the price....well in my dream then.

A famous Japanese artist come at the expo and also provided this art space for us to fill in~

IMG_1529.JPG

Guess which onei painted? nah, i didnt took it.

IMG_1531.JPG

There's also some performance at the centre court, but we couldnt be border to watch.

IMG_1532.JPG

During lunch time, mum followed my suggestion to have meal at Tokyo restaurant, Lot 10! So happy finally made myself here, had been longing here for sometimes!

We waited for around 15mins, and because the food not really cheap, we ordered food that more meant to be shared.

Thought the umami fries which stated recommended by chef would be something fancy, well, it just with umami seasoning sprinkled on top of the fries == but the portion is huge!

IMG_1535.JPG

TBH, menu variety is very limited, only one page, and the chef actually changed the menu after sometimes. We have this grilled chicken which was just alright, i think i wouldnt back for the main.

IMG_1536.JPG

But definitely come back for the 6th avenue cheese cake, it was soooooo good! OMG, silky and smooth, and not very rich, just meet my expectation. It ald exceed my previous burnt cheese cake which was at Birch. I so happy that i made the choice to visit here even one of my company supplier told me the cheese cake was not up to her expectation, but i loved it =D

IMG_1540.JPG

Almost all tables are ordering it.

Then, we back to pavillion again after lunch, thought of walking around outdoor as the expo setup a few japanese stalls at the entrance but it was pouring so heavily.

So we get back into the mall, and nearly evening time before we go back to KLCC, i made my move to Laduree, another place i longing for~

IMG_1541.JPG

So grateful Laduree finally come to Malaysia, but i really doubted if this brand can survive in Malaysia, as there is not many ppl desire for this kind of high end dessert.

IMG_1542.JPG

IMG_1544.JPG

all the decors were so fancy~

IMG_1546.JPG

In the end i only bought one macaron, is already costed me RM12!!! This is the most expensive macaron i ever had, even macaron i bought at overseas (Japan, Korea, NZ or  Australia) also not that pricy, or mayb just similar price.

If you asked me would I ever back again for this, the answer is really depends, it was not really that good, is more of the brand effect, i had macaron tasted better than it. Plus, there is not much variety, and the staff cant even recommend me which one i shall pick.

Just like what i mentioned, i dont really think Malaysian will return to this place, cz macaron indeed not something very popular in Malaysia.

So we made our way to KLCC and had another japanese meal at Yuzu, indeed a japan day for me.

Surprisingly, yuzu food was nice =D

IMG_1547.JPG

We ordered a salad, as we were so full, but the salad also taste so nice.

Also, they gave a large pot of green tea, one thing i almost forgot to highlight is The Tokyo restaurant did not charge us for service fee, but Yuzu did like others.

IMG_1548.JPG

We also had the mango sushi which is also very tasty, what a wise choice to end the night =D

Early this month was Fami bday, he joined our company half years ago, so also celebrating his first bday in Bakels~

AIDS6265.JPG

We used potato bread to customized a special "cake" for him~

the group is expanding~

KEYX5092.JPG

Then, i also met the online fren for the second time, at Project space, SS15.

IMG_1340.JPG

Food was so so only...

IMG_1341.JPG

Apparently, their burnt cheesecake is quite famous too, but i think Birch's is much better.

IMG_1342.JPG

So as the crepe cake, cant remeber the taste, guess it was so so only. Definitely not coming back.

IMG_1343.JPG

Spot this in the early morning~

IMG_1373.JPG

Also this month, have movie night with Li Ting and Pei Ling at Setia Walk, finally paid my visit to "Ticket to Korea", food was nice.

IMG_1388.JPG

So nice to have budae jigae (the korean army hotpot), just the portion at this korean restaurant not really generous and price not cheap either.

IMG_1389.JPG

Setia walk decor had changed too.

IMG_1392.JPG

IMG_1394.JPG

Another good morning scene on the way to work

IMG_1408.JPG

Ohh, i also bought this RT special crepe roll, very expensive, RM18 per roll, it was not bad, but too pricy.

IMG_1481.JPG

Last, i brought my minion polaroid during bday celebration of Kong and Derrick.

IMG_1485.JPG

Dinner at Jibby & Co was pleasant, food are nice (not all), cake are decent (not all too), but this is always a good place to hang out.

IMG_1487.JPG

Thanks peep for going through another year~

Yeah, another flower arrangement class for me, and this time is arranging flower in a basket.

Thanks to Angela, my high school friend, offered a reasonable class and most importantly, the location is at Klang!

She used to working in bank, then from time to time, she pick up the flower arrangement hobby, from online, she developed her fame then now own a shop lot, full time doing this business.

I do think her story is inspring, and surely wish she keep success with good business.

IMG_1436.JPG

The flower arrangement in basket is harder than my first flower arrangement class, as i need to place the flower into a hard moist sponge, and the flowers i dealed with today are quite fragile.

IMG_2743.PNG

this photo is extracted from Angela's instagram, you can how hard all the students are working.

With the help from Angela and another teacher, i did success to create my own flower basket~

IMG_1439.JPG

It seems all are the same, but watch closely, all of the flower baskets are decorated so differently. I am happy with what i did though~

IMG_1452.JPG

i love this photo so much, and i had used it as my whatapps profile photo.

IMG_1459.JPG

Group photo time, there are 5 students in total including myself, and another high school classmate, shin chyn.

IMG_1462.JPG

A workshop come with a cert, why not? hehe

IMG_1465.JPG

maybe i can add up as a bonus on my resume, lol

IMG_1451.JPG

plus point, the workshop provided lunch! tho is not something fancy, but hey RM160 for a workshop with materials provided and free lunch? That's generous!

UVFI5792.JPG

The flower dried off like after few weeks, but is good that the baby breath, one of my favourite flower, also able to be preserved as dry flowers~

I never thought i would go for such artistic workshop, somehow the price of the workshop with the pastel nagomi really attracted me.

It is my first time encountered pastel nagomi, i like this kind of artwork but never know how it was created.

This is how google define pastel nagomi art:

a form of Japanese art healing founded by Hosoya Norikatsu, using pastels and fingers to create a gentle soft and heart-touching art through simple yet unique ways ofpainting techniques. The kanji character of “NAGOMI” is '和', which means harmony.

The workshop is hosted by ShareDskills at PJ, it was my 4th workshop this year.

IMG_1281.JPG

IMG_1282.JPG

They have so many workshops each month, and most of their workshops price do not exceed RM100, and the workshop variety is really wide, from water brush to knitting, almost cover every range.

IMG_1288.JPG

IMG_1289.JPG

IMG_1290.JPG

I really like how they decor up their space, and also you can feel the heart they want to give the students who come to their workshop a place where is comfy to learn and enjoy.

Today class also have a few pairs of mother and daughter, mostly are girls.

IMG_1283.JPG

however, the materials on today workshop are not allowed to be brought home, so indeed need to think twice if really want to invest in this hobby.

IMG_1284.JPG

Even the pastel crayon is not cheap, but last i also bought a cheap one from daiso, and realized daiso in Jaya Shopping centre PJ offer lots of varieties on stationary.

IMG_1285.JPG

The teacher today is also jumping career to be a full time artist after discovered pastel nagomi few years ago. She pasted out her artwork at the corner in the workshop too.

Basically we are using our finger to create the art instead using the crayon directly itself which we used to do it during school time.

IMG_1286.JPG

Tada, this is what i had today~ Using almost 3 hrs, and it was really a pleasant workshop =D

IMG_1287.JPG

I learnt a lot today, not sure how well i would use my precious time in future to do the 3rd pastel nagomi art, but it was a fun and enjoyable class.

Then i also had my lunch at a ramen place at Jaya, soup base is not bad, just dont like the noodle is a bit soggy.

IMG_1291.JPG

And also met up an online friend known not long ago, we had a long chat at hogen bakery house, recently started to play some online dating app, not sure if it works, but is good to know new people.

IMG_1292.JPG

Anyways, is a good Sunday for me.

Today is quite meaningful, as there's a recycle event going on today at One city, and I joined the event along with Lee Ting to exchange unused but recyclable items with public.

I also get rid of 2 unwanted bags, although not getting very huge or worthy thing in return, but is good that someone need the stuff that i dont need and i dont have to throw them away.

The event was not very long, around few hours, then we gone to owls cafe at One city for dessert~

IMG_1176.JPG

i first time trying Owl's cafe pasta, quite nice, this salted egg spagetti is really tempting.

IMG_1179.JPG

They also have a lto waffle menu, the sweet potato jackfruit sago waffle, which is so much better than their signature rebecca waffle.

I still dislike how their waffle is not that crispy, but i forgive them this time because the flavor of the sweet potato is pleased me. I also like how they using the sago and jackfruit to match with the sweet potato, is a good combination.

XXYE8128.JPG

finally, i have walked on the glass ceiling on top floor, scary yet fun~

I also had watched a funny and touching Thai comedy movie - brother of the year.

Image result for my bad brother thai movie

But i dont really like the cinema seat in one city, quite discomfort and not that their movie ticket is cheap.

Then dinner also finally make place at roof top one city, we able to enjoy the night view and also not bad korean food with reasonable price.

IMG_1181.JPG

can see Main place from here

IMG_1182.JPG

IMG_1183.JPG

IMG_1203.JPG

Korean food here taste not bad, i like the ginseng chicken, but forgot to catch a photo, the fried chicken also not bad.

IMG_1229.JPG

Of cause not to miss beer here, that's the reason we come in, as they are doing promotion during world cup period.

UZIY5629.JPG

Good day and good chat today =D
