thanks to the election post holiday, well not exactly today but since my company did not witness the post holiday on time, we are eligible for 2 replacement leaves.

And here come my first leave used today =D

There is a Japan expo at Pavillion starting today, so I dated my mum there via LRT as she never been to KL city via LRT.

Thanks to Pek Shan, I figured out the way to access Pavillion from KLCC.

Actually the expo is not very huge, decor is also very simple, i dont think i will come all the way to KL for this expo next year unless I happened to pass by and free ==

One of the major purpose i wish to come is because of this:

IMG_1517.JPG

I do like origami, is just i am so lazy to learn to fold on my own, and i am not really confident if i could fold my own, the teacher is from the Origami Academy based at Publika, where I known for some years, and they used to hold workshops for children. Once they have workshop for adults, but the price was so expensive.

So since this is free, why not?

I do think the origami science is interesting, in fact, in real life, some people had used it on the medical, transportation industry, according to the founder of Origami Academy.

The workshop is very simple, we had 2 foldings, a rose and my mum chose frog.

The orange and pink is made by the teacher, while the bottom 2, yellow and red was made by myself.....hmmmm....well i actually cant recall how i fold it now. GOSH.

But i successfully made this back into its original shape all by my own, also solve mum's lol

IMG_1524.JPG

It would be even exicited if i could win the price....well in my dream then.

A famous Japanese artist come at the expo and also provided this art space for us to fill in~

Guess which onei painted? nah, i didnt took it.

IMG_1531.JPG

There's also some performance at the centre court, but we couldnt be border to watch.

During lunch time, mum followed my suggestion to have meal at Tokyo restaurant, Lot 10! So happy finally made myself here, had been longing here for sometimes!

We waited for around 15mins, and because the food not really cheap, we ordered food that more meant to be shared.

Thought the umami fries which stated recommended by chef would be something fancy, well, it just with umami seasoning sprinkled on top of the fries == but the portion is huge!

IMG_1535.JPG

TBH, menu variety is very limited, only one page, and the chef actually changed the menu after sometimes. We have this grilled chicken which was just alright, i think i wouldnt back for the main.

IMG_1536.JPG

But definitely come back for the 6th avenue cheese cake, it was soooooo good! OMG, silky and smooth, and not very rich, just meet my expectation. It ald exceed my previous burnt cheese cake which was at Birch. I so happy that i made the choice to visit here even one of my company supplier told me the cheese cake was not up to her expectation, but i loved it =D

Almost all tables are ordering it.

Then, we back to pavillion again after lunch, thought of walking around outdoor as the expo setup a few japanese stalls at the entrance but it was pouring so heavily.

So we get back into the mall, and nearly evening time before we go back to KLCC, i made my move to Laduree, another place i longing for~

IMG_1541.JPG

So grateful Laduree finally come to Malaysia, but i really doubted if this brand can survive in Malaysia, as there is not many ppl desire for this kind of high end dessert.

IMG_1544.JPG

all the decors were so fancy~

IMG_1546.JPG

In the end i only bought one macaron, is already costed me RM12!!! This is the most expensive macaron i ever had, even macaron i bought at overseas (Japan, Korea, NZ or  Australia) also not that pricy, or mayb just similar price.

If you asked me would I ever back again for this, the answer is really depends, it was not really that good, is more of the brand effect, i had macaron tasted better than it. Plus, there is not much variety, and the staff cant even recommend me which one i shall pick.

Just like what i mentioned, i dont really think Malaysian will return to this place, cz macaron indeed not something very popular in Malaysia.

So we made our way to KLCC and had another japanese meal at Yuzu, indeed a japan day for me.

Surprisingly, yuzu food was nice =D

IMG_1547.JPG

We ordered a salad, as we were so full, but the salad also taste so nice.

Also, they gave a large pot of green tea, one thing i almost forgot to highlight is The Tokyo restaurant did not charge us for service fee, but Yuzu did like others.

We also had the mango sushi which is also very tasty, what a wise choice to end the night =D
