Thanks to Pek Shan’s invitation, the crazy madness group finally have our official first vacation in Malacca.
I am so happy for her, and glad that I have the chance to attend her wedding in Malacca.
My last Malacca visit perhaps was early this year when I had a one-day trip with the swimming group, what a coincidence, I begin 2018 with Malacca and also end 2018 in Malacca.
I straight away proposed this trip when Pek Shan asked us to come and for sure this road trip will be amazingly fun!
We had dim sum at USJ for lunch before heading to Malacca, too bad Wai Ee only can meet us on tomorrow because she was not able to take leave today.
Our stay in Malacca is at this boutique hotel named Aurora, introduced by Pek Shan.
We directly head to Pek Shan house for the buffet dinner prior to the wedding on following morning. We did not stay long because the bride to be was very busy entertaining other guests, and we would love to explore the Portuguese settlement village during this festive season =)
I remember this Malacca version of Christ the Redeemer was almost being torn down by the local Muslims. Thankfully, the statue survived, and I was able to visit during Xmas time.
We also had the famous mango juice recommended by Pek Shan, really refreshing!
Later, we moved our way to Jonker walk for more food hehe.
And see who we bumped into! Si Min, my ex-colleague, also one of who finally escaped from Macfood =P
In the end, we decided to have some desserts in Durian Dreamland.
We have a small dessert platter containing durian puff, durian crepe, durian mochi and durian fried ice cream.
Overall not as amazing as the following durian chendol.
The whole durian on top of chendol! Durian lover like me definitely not able to say no.
However, I still prefer the original durian fruit itself, I found their dessert are quite pricy.
We walked around the Malacca river before ending our first night. Tomorrow the crazy gang is going to hit the church~
