For the first time, i took part in a musical instrument workshop, i am really proud of myself today.

I always want to learn guitar during high school but investing a guitar during school time was too pricy thus i still not financial independent that time.

So, i just leave that mindset in my puberty dream, but sometimes would think that if i am able to play guitar will be cool.

I think Mayday, my idol, a taiwanese popular band are the one that inspired my guitar dream, and i never think of learning piano or other instruments

Then, soon as i grown up, i kinda forgot the guitar dream, then first knew about ukulele when Huey Jen told me that she want to learn that when i met her in Dunedin before i heading Malaysia for good.

When i first knew about ukulele, i was kinda "look down" on it, because i took it as a toy. But somehow, also interested to find out more as it looks like a mini guitar.

So, i think i actually got interest to learn it, when Wei Lan, my high school friend share about this workshop on facebook, without hesitation, i approached Wei Lan for more information,

The class was initially held in early May but somehow it was postponed to today. However, it still did not stop my passion to learn this cute instrument.

After had lunch with Wei Lan, we went to Dolce Music - the musical college opened by Wei Li an's friend at Setia Alam.

Thankful that Dolce Music allowed me to borrow their ukulele, i forgotten to snap a photo of the ukulele i borrowed.

Wei Lan is also my teacher for the workshop today, i knew she had been playing ukulele for sometime, but i first found out that she got such a good skill and good vocal.

She really patient to teach us the skill and also gave many tips to remember the useful musical note and terms.

Actually it is not that hard to learn, just need lots of practice, and passion =D

For sure, the fingers will be suffered, i think recently i really hurt my poor fingers a lot. Since i had been strongly involved in baking because of the chocolate cake mess i screwed, then it was the crochet and still on going for granny square. Now is the ukulele string. But i also realized a better quality ukulele had a softer string which is more easily to be played.

U guess it right, i am thinking and likely to invest an ukulele because it is fun to play with and really destressed!

It is really simple if compared with guitar, it just need to have more practice and learn to play even faster.

Just realize i had learnt a lot of things this year, swimming (but did not success), crochet/knitting, then ukulele. Now still planning to learn Japanese and wagashi, and if got chance, learn pottery and clay art too.

Life indeed colorful and wonderful =)
