Yippie, this day finally come, had been looking forward for today for so long.

Most importantly, i found someone who able to be my company to this kind of workshop/events, i almost gone by myself.

Let's define LAH, it's mean Learn A Hobby~, organized by my weekend plan , really grateful they have come out with this event, encourage the public to learn a new hobby, at the same time, introducing various kinds of workshop/hobbies that public could try out or learn. It is also a good platform for local artists to gain more exposure of their artwork.

LAH fair is held at Sandbox Co Working Space at Sri Petaling, recently there are so many these kind of working spaces in Klang valley, they allowed ppl to rent a small corner as a tiny office, or larger space for event such as today LAH fair.

The person I mentioned is my colleague, Siew, who is born 1994, and surprisingly we are both quite clicked. This is our second time outing since last visit to the Popular Book Fest at KLCC last month.

After fetching Siew from her hse at Shah Alam, we head to Sri Petaling and had lunch at 5.1 cafe gallery.

This cafe is really nice to have photo with, well decorated, we come at the right time when it was early and no ppl around to disturb our photo time.

OMG, cant believe myself look so fat in this photo!

Back to food, menu wise is quite a lot of varieties, but food itself is not satisfying.

I ordered chicken with blanket cheese on top, and they really gave me a blanket! So awful and disgusting, the chicken was dry, so as the cheese.

Would definitely not return even websites review commented the dessert is more famous, whatever.

After lunch, we slowly made our way to Sandbox, but we were early and missed the chance to play the wheel at the entrance downstair cz the staffs still in middle preparing the prize.

We waited for an hour to finally able to spend 5 mins on each stores to attend a small scale hobby workshop.

The first one we started was the dessert water color, I drew myself a macaron~ hehe, a small gift, artwork sticker provided by teacher was given upon completed the workshop.

Then, we learnt to make jewelry too, is a simple piece, but not easy as well, without the teacher help, i definitely couldnt make it.

Next, we went to make a natural cup plate using pandan leaves.

This so natural urban workshop was hosted by UrbanEscape, founded by 3 energetic guys only like one month ago.

Really think teenagers nowadays are brave and passionate about their dream, and i was very lucky, cz I won the prize as I posted the photo on instagram.. come to think of that, maybe because my instagram was set to be seen public, and not many people really participating in this chance to win, so no doubt i turned to be the winner.

And this was what i won:

Another cup plate lol.

Then, the next stop is brush lettering, but i dont like this teacher, has a very smelly face, but thanks to her, now i know the fundamental skill for brush letter and modern calligraphy are quite the same.

This store also didnt provide any workshop. only just write down our name, that's it.

Last, i went to the manicure store, and get my first ever manicure.

Apart from these, I also got many goodies~ Not sure if i would return for LAH fair 3.0, but i did have a good time here.

I also had early dinner with Siew at Peekaboo cafe at Bukit Jalil since it is so near, a valid reason to be here? simple and easy, cz is a totoro themed cafe~

IMG_1564.JPG

The entrance is ald so magical, totoro spotted everywhere.

Even on the staircase...

Although the totoro drawing is quite fake, but still is quite instagrammable.

Even at the door, wow.

You can spot totoro everywhere in the cafe.

I ordered a hot chocolate, hoping they will pour me some totoro art on it, quite dissapointed especially the hot chocolate also not nice.

IMG_1584.JPG

The salmon spagetti I ordered was one of the chef recommendation, but honestly i cooked better than him/her.

This cafe basically just provide the ambience, proven once again - cartoon themed cafe food sucks.....

looking at the ugly totoro cake in the cabinet, really sorry for totoro being ruined this way. Please do not insult totora fans!

Even those totoro soft toys are all privated made and looks so fake...please.....honestly, i really dont like ppl use this kind of strategy to attract public but not providing good food.

This cafe for sure would not last long unless they willing to improve their food quality.

Besides all the bad food i had today, still a good saturday for me.
