Yes! Finally is the long waited long weekend, today is Wednesday but feeling like a Friday to me, because i am getting 4 days off in a row~

It was supposed to be 5 days in a row as government just announced 4th September as public holiday too, bu too bad my company didnt declare it so i only got 4 days off.

Oh well, better than nothing, at least i still can catch up earlier for my on-going chocolate cake project.

I had kinda stopped cafe hunting for sometime, mainly to save money and also because there is too many cafes out there.

I wouldnt say there is no good cafe, but the chances actually are too many over-rated cafes and most of them are overpriced.

However, it is hard for a foodie to stop exploring new cafes, so since it is prior to long weekend, i decided to meet wai ee and go to Empire Damansara~

I always wanted to come here because of Haraju Cube, i had been longing this dessert for such a long time, and finally made it today~

Thanks to wai ee for being such a good food company that always said yes to wherever i want to go, the drive to Empire Damansara tonight was so jamming!

I actually drove to the wrong way twice but grateful that eventually also reaching the destination around 730pm =) (almost an hour drive)

First scene is this umbrella decor that is quite famous at Empire Damansara, but because it was dark, it is not so nice to capture this scene.

I think it will look better in the morning.. soon, i also found Jekyll and Hyde cafe, where is also the place i wished to have mains before my dessert at Haraju Cube.

Surprised that there were staffs promoting the cafe by passing leaflet to us, because i thought this is a famous cafe but somehow i think it is maybe just alright because Empire Damansara is full of eateries, and didnt really gain such a big attention for this cafe.

There are actually quite many varieties for the food to be chosen, ended up we picked the set meal for couples as it come with 4 dishes and also 2 drinks.

Wai Ee is so healthy that she just want to drink plain water, so i took both the red wine and orange juice by my own. Apparently there were 3 drinks options to choose from, either red wine paired with orange juice or cocktails paired with orange juice. However, the foreign waiter really speak poor english and i had no idea what is the cocktail he describing, and there is no menu to explain the cocktail range, so to be safe, i picked the red wine.

It had been a while since my last red wine, and to be honest, i was a bit tipsy after drinking this red wine, it is not bad, quite smooth to sip.

For the dishes, the set we chose come with a salad, toast, signature pork ribs and the famous cheesy wheel pasta.

The toast were not bad, but nothing much to be shout out.

For salad, i think the sauce was too sweet and too much. @@

I personally quite like their signature BBQ pork rib, the sauce is well marinated, and very soft but not too dry.

Whereas for the famous cheesy wheel pasta, i really think it was overrated, or tonight the chef had encountered bad mood. Cheesy lover maybe will like the cheesy taste, but the spagetti was undercooked, so hard. =S

Overall, the portion for all 4 dishes were not bad, but it would not be very filling for 2 person either, but it is good because we still need to go for dessert which was the reason we come all the way here.

Wai Ee was paying for the dinner because both of us did not carry cash, so next dinner will be on me then, of cause i paid for the dessert later.

Saw this at Jekyll and Hyde cafe which is quite ironic, because actually i do care about for the food itself rather than the environment, but people yes, i must agree it is an important factor too.

Then, we headed to upstairs for dessert, Haraju Cube indeed very famous, so crowded here!

I did not get the recently released all black sweet toast because i think it is kinda too heavy to handle as wai ee did not seems like wanna tried out either, but maybe next time for me.

So hard to pick, in the end i got the best selling one which is Haraju Bomb, come with matcha/vanilla ice cream, cream, chocolate sticks, cookies and mashmellow.

It was so huge! and very filling! The toast is in black too which i guess is temporary to match with their black themed toast.

But i really like this toast, it was very crispy and buttery, smell so good! It was way better than Miru cafe and Dazzling!

So give a tick for Haraju Cube, marked that it will be visited again lol =D

We actually did not finish the entire toast, and the ice cream actually melted half way when we still eating, because we were so full to finish it, so we kinda stop eating then chat, then eat again.

Anyway, it was a good night. Good that wai ee had been doing well, and could tell that she actually had learnt a lot and be more tough for her role.

Both of us will be getting better in life =)
