Here's come the food hunting during work - vol 3.
Being a foodie is a wonderful thing, especially being a foodie who work in the food industry.
Well, ignore those high pressure encountered during work, and those super annoying last minute request (so called ADHOC) or the irritating early morning or night that have to stay in the freezing cold line.
Life's indeed filled up with up and down moments, hence food always is my best company - also a love and hate related imitate in Vivian's life.
Something good about working in Malaysia: I do not have to border bringing lunch box, neither need to worry about starving nor having little options for lunch, food's everywhere.
Something bad about working in Malaysia: take care of your wallet, you may spend more than you thought for lunch ==
Fried asam laksa - one of the favourite shop we like to visit at SS14, concept is good, but i still prefer my soupy authentic asam laksa.
Don't get me wrong, the drink is not named "Bev" or "Hasan", it was called " Korea", yea, the country Korea.
Hasan should be the one who took my order, Bev? not so sure.
I have this Korea drink at Murni, a chained Mamak restaurant in Malaysia which gained quite good popularity.
Their drink is always unique, this Korea drink actually contained oats on top =D
Then back to the day we worked in store, before the ideation session, we gone to nearby cafe for lunch
We picked "Pickle and Fig" simply because it is close enough, have their lunch set which come with free drinks.
Forgot what kind of yellow tea I had, but quite nice, and I chose to have thier smoked duck panini.
A very healthy cafe meal.
Here was what I doing at the store, busy preparing all sorts of ideation menu to please the menu team.
Well not just me, thanks for the crew's effort too.
Then, encountered something nice which I always wanna try out at the new mall - Da Men.
I missed this in Taiwan, but for sure wouldnt want to miss this in Malaysia.
Just like the store name: Tanoshii! so happy about this Taiyaki ice cream, but i was too excited that I accidentally dropped the top green tea soft serve on the floor.....TT
Luckily the store staff was very kind and generous, he made me a new one....i was so guilty when looking at the green colored "poops" on the clean shining white floor.
Taste of it? Well it's just green tea soft serve with taiyaki......==, but I was happy to meet such a generous staff who really made my day.
Then, this massive shrimp on my chawanmushi is found during my lunch with Karen at a Thai owned Japanese cuisine at SS18.
Last, but not least. We had lots of whole chicken left over from Derrick's project.
Since we worked in a kitchen, why not cooking our own meal for lunch?
Roasted chicken definitely wouldnt be wrong~
