Yeah today will hit the city, personally, I really love Melbourne city, but too bad this trip we wouldnt able staying in the city for long due to the super pricy parking fee.
Living outskirt plus renting a car wandering around Melbourne city is crazy, so this trip will be more focusing on the wild....
I had good yoghurt to kickstart the day~
So creamy, rich and yummy <3
#OOTD
First stop of the day~ at the R&R lol...
BP petrol station still existing! yea, it's just left Malaysia, but is spotted everywhere in Aussie.
Not sure if we are lucky today cz we encountered free parking place today, but it was located pretty distance from the city centre meaning we need to walk a while.
I am totally fine but it was quite challenging for my dad who unable to walk too long as he had swollen leg.
Moreover, there is a time limit for this free parking period, meaning we are kinda being tightened with the parking and limit our time sparing in the city.
Actually there are a lot affordable parking slots right in the city centre because Melbourne city is quite empty in the weekend, hence many parking company is offering good deals over weekend.
Well, good to know, but kinda late to find out too.
Our first visit point is St Paul Cathedral church, this is my favourite church in Melbourne, most ppl are promoting St Patrick Cathedral, but I personally still like St Paul more.
Revisiting here 5 years later, scenary is not exactly the same as I was here during winter time 5 years ago and I was slimmer for sure.
This indeed brought back lots of memories...grateful for being here again =D
I recalled how i accidentally bounced into St Paul in 2013, it was definitely not planning, I spotted the church on the map and decided to walk there from Fitroyz garden. It was a wonderful experience, and so soon 5 years had passed since then.
I had grown up for sure, person wise, am I getting better?
We didnt stay long here, we walk to the city centre soon to meet up Cheryl at the restaurant she suggested.
Melbourne is an artistic city, that's why you can find artistic work everywhere.
I just realized my brother captured quite a few nice photo with his professional camera.
Unfortunately the parliament was under construction....
I am impressed, Go noodle house is opened in Melbourne too!! OMG
So as Papa rich, the worst restaurant in Malaysia became a fame in Aussie and NZ.
Chinatown spotted!
In the end, we didn't manage to eat at the restaurant Cheryl suggested as there were too crowded, so in the end we went to Hakata Gensuke, where is also Wai Ee suggested.
I totally not mind cz I know how delicious is japanese food in Aussie because it is truly made by Japanese =D
The ramen is delicious as I expected =) Not sure when will be the next time meeting Cheryl again, but really great to know she is doing so good here, will definitely miss her a lot!
We only gathered for a very short while, basically just a lunch as Cheryl and her hubby got other stuffs to do, while us continue wondering at Melbourne Central.
This is also one of the place I missed out in 2013, not sure why i didnt include it in my destination list =.=
Basically the highlight of Melbourne central is the historical chimney tower which is protected under this mall, it is located at the highest floor in the mall.
The chimney obviously no longer functioning, the bottom was revamped into a branded store, but overall it was well preserved.
I am grateful that i decided to walked around the chimney store at the bottom, look what i found out!!
There's a mickey mouse arthouse! Well this year is Mickey 90th anniversary, so no doubt the marketing strategy is playing around the world.
Although i am not a Mickey's fan, but it is still very enjoyable taking photos around =D
After having fun with mickey, is time to slowly walk back to our parking lot, we definitely would not want to get fined for any delays.
On our way back to Rosebud, we decided to have dinner stop at Springvale, where is a vietnamese town in Melbourne.
This is also my first visit, Aussie have very good vietnamese cuisine because many vietnamese migrated here during world war ages ago, and many of them had set their root in Aussie since long time ago.
Last time i had good vietnamese meal at the city centre, but i never know there is a vietnamese town in Melbourne too.
we randomly went into this restaurant based on reviews on google, i didnt do much food research this trip so basically we pretty much leave it to destiny~
But we are lucky, food are really good =D
We finished our activities early today, able to spot sunset on way back Rosebud too, well trip not definitely need to occupied with pack schedule, simply enjoying the sunset is also wonderful moment right?
To be continued.....
