Before heading for breakfast today, our priority was to get the famous Baba and Charlie Nyonya Kuih.
The selections here was magnificient! So many to be chose, and I forgot how many types we had bought.
Later, we continued our trip with breakfast in 1 of the famous chicken rice shop.
At first we would like to go Chong Hwa, where is more famous with their chicken rice ball, but the line was super long!
Moreover, since last night laksa, I was afraid my family might not think the food is good if really lining up for a long time especially during this hot weather.
Hence, we went to Hoe Kee's, their asam fish was good =D
My family decided to go visit the Nyonya heritage museum after "brunch", but I honestly do not want to pay for another RM16 for the third time.
So, I opted out from the tour, and went for cafe hunting around Jonker walk by myself.
Saw this cute cafe during my cafe hunting, but too bad it was closed. I wonder if there is also many totoro decor inside the cafe.
There are actually many cafes around this area, and last i chose Mods cafe at Jalan Tokong simply because here was less people.
This cafe is decorated with vintage elements, and contains a bright orange Volkswagen classic van inside the cafe which served as a coffee bar and cashier kiosk.
They also have this collection of various beer can from all over the world, displayed at the hanging deck attached to the wall.
The cafe actually is very narrow, but the owner is clever to maximize the space by using small, cute round table with simple box chairs.
The cafe owner actually was claimed as the only coffee roaster in Malacca, but too bad I am not a coffee drinker, so I ordered their hot chocolate instead.
My hot chocolate comes with a small cookies, cost me RM12, which is quite pricy.
However, this hot chocolate was good, I ranked the second best for what I drank so far in Malaysia following after the hot chocolate in Artisan roast coffee cafe.
The best one I had still in NZ XD.
I spared around an hour in Mods, then I just simply walked around, and also waited in front of the Nyonya museum for half an hour ==
The tour took longer than I thought, but I am glad that my family enjoyed the tour.
Then, is time to go home, but we decided go to Nadeje for the mille crepe, quite surprised dad actually interested to try out.
We ordered 3 varieties: rum and raisin; banana chocolate and original mille crepe.
For drinks, we shared coffee lattee and hisbicius tea.
They quite enjoy this high tea experience, thank god they didnt felt bad to order the mille crepe with price that could have mains. ==
Last I also wanna show off what I had bought in this Malacca trip! The totoro version of power bank =D
Apparently it was imported from Japan, not sure about the quality for this RM50 electronics, but it good to own one power bank.
