Omg, I really had a great time!
the subaru legacy we rented for our trip, looked hw the beautiful weather reflected on the car~
view from outside our motel....
The sky is blue, and the weather seems treating us very well once I opened my eye this morning. Had a good sleep, after the discomfort bed in my room at Palmy, I am able to sleep on any bed. Lol. But, the motel bed is really very comfortable.
just some other general photos about our motel I captured this morning, wann zhen was texting in the living room, while Carmen and Aunty May was preparing breakfast in the small but very functional kitchen. =P
We had wonderful healthy breakfast. Good to know Carmen, I totally granted her as a dietitian, she knows a lot! U will be my diet advisor~ haha
Although there were rain drops along the road, we still got sunshine at cape reinga. Not to mention we got good spot for our car parking.
I was amazed by the power of natural!
There were many people around, but we totally just enjoyed ourselves and got excited photos!
from left: me, carmen and adeline~ photo granted to the camera gal - May sis.
and a L.O.V.E jump, carmen is super cool!
I am super proud of myself to be able to fit into those jumper photos (usually I failed), and of cz, credit goes to the camera sis Mary!
walking down to cape reinga, we were closed to the light tower~
and this random guy, the last guy, just joined us in our photo without our notice, this is super funny!
Cape reinga is really beautiful, and I felt so impressed and lucky to see the meeting point between pacific ocean and tasman sea.

Is time to move on, we went to the huge giant sand dunes nearby.
people were slowly climbing up to the huge sand dune~ likes a row of ants....=P
we hired 2 sand boards which costed us 30 bucks, the sand guy really knows how to make money @@
I was reluctant to play on the sand, as I am a chicken. I scared of falling, and got messy, and I also afraid of the height, and speed. I was volunteering to be the camera gal, but ends up, I did go for some sand boarding~ (very low standard one, haha, those not that steep, and in half way). I refused to do the sand boarding in proper way, I just be a fair lady, sitting on the board. Lol. I had good balance anyways, dint fall….=P
It was super fun!
Carmen, Adeline and Wann Zhen also enjoyed very much. Poor sis Mary couldn’t join us but she seems having a good time watching us, these young kids, playing around.
We spent good time at the dune, and left around 3, but we still have the next destination!

The 90 mile beach! But first, we had to have lunch, and our car need some petrol as well.
Luckily we found a fish and chips store on the way to the beach. Another infortune for us was we were not able to drive along the 90km beach due to the limitation of the car, but we still able to get to 90mile beach with a longer way.
The meal was alright, was good we had this on easter Sunday.
Then, we actually couldn’t find petrol station around, the closest station was closed unfortunately. Looking the left quarter of petrol tank on board, we decided to take risk to the beach. Based on GPS, Adeline assumed we still have chance to get to the petrol station before we have to push our car and ask for help at middle of nowhere. Anyways, we passed the rocky gavel path and dark jungle, we arrived 90mile beach!
I am curious about the formation of this beach, it is a heaven to me! Cant really see the end!
Too bad we couldn’t stay for longer time, as we still need to head back Auckland tonight. Bye bye northland, really wonderful been here!
Note: a big hug and thumb to carmen and Adeline, and wann zhen, all of u have done a good job on driving us back to Auckland. The thai restaurant dinner at Whangarei was awesome!
the sunset on our way back home.....
