Yeah! Today we are going into the wild, to the famous Phillip Island, also is my first time visiting the island.
We finished the quiche yesterday, so today just have pies for breakkie, and also some snacks around hehe.
The drive from our acco to Phillip Island is almost 3 hours, we stopped at San Remo for fish and chips.
Is actually our first fish n chips after arrive at Melbourne.
The fish taste quite fresh, but quite pricy for the portion served.
Reason we stopped by here also because here is famous with Pelican feeding, we purposely come here for a lunch stop since is along our way to Phillips too.
The feeding started around 1pm, is just at the beach beside the fish and chips store.
There are flocks of Pelican, my goodness, so huge yet incredible view. Actually this is also the activity hosted by the Co-op fish n chips store, so the fish supplies are from the shop.
Look at the Pelican size!
It was a very good experience~
Then we went to the next destination - Wild life park!
This park is small and not that popular compared with other local wild life park, apparently not many ppl are aware that there is a wild life park at Phillip Island.
The park is a bit unorganized and also not many staffs watching around, but we really have a good time here.
There are plenty of wild native animals in the park.
My family first time see Koala bear, they just realized Koala actually looks ugly =P
Bat.....looks digusting....
Long neck turtle or tortise...
Looks like a wooden log, but actually is an owl..
At the end of the park, there is a free range area which is a wetland with wild kangaroo, well actually not entirely wild.
We were given a small bag of kangaroo feeds to feed the kangaroo, at first most of my family member were quite hesitate to feed, but after seeing me feeding so naturally, all of them also started to enjoy the feeding.
Little different from my last kangaroo feeding experience when the kangaroo will use their paw to cover the food inside my palm to ensure no one stole them lol.
But this time, the kangaroo is kinda more fierce and chillax lol
Wombat is here too!
So cute XD.
After the wild life park, we went for dinner before heading to our highlight of the island, the penquin reserve.
We had subway for dinner, that's like the only thing that is quick and safe.
We need to be hurry because we need to be there before 7pm.
Wow, there were more than 1000 penguins last night!
Sitting beside the coast is so freezing COLD my goodness~ Apparently need to wait sun set while the birds in the sky have weaker eye sight then only the penguins will cross the beach and return to their nest.
Apparently got tour bus come to view the penguins too, but i think they didnt pay the ticket... hmmmm ><
Lol strangers captured!
Ok, we are not allowed to take photo of the penguins because they are that fragile and scared of light, so everyone was quite displined too.
Actually the view was really far, and the penguins were like ants to us...when i thought it was not really worthy, just like what the staff said, on our way back to carpark, actually the penguins are walking just beside us! Really right underneath the wooden path we walking and some just right beside us!
Then only I realized their nest were built under the wooden pathway and surrouding the whole penguins reserve centre!
This penguins attraction is amazing and also marked as my top highlight of this trip!
