It has been a while since i last met Cheryl, i guess it was during her wedding.

Well, as I was being saving for my korea trip, i had reduced cafe hunting these days, and usually i was the one intiated for meeting up, so Cheryl didnt ask me out too since her wedding.

However, she started mention it last month, so here come our gathering at VCR cafe at Bangsar today.

I always wanna try this cafe, this cafe is quite famous since its first branch at Bukit Bintang, but there is too far for me, luckily they are doing good and open the 2nd branch in Bangsar.

Also thankful that Cheryl accompany me for the try out, she tried the cakes before but not the food. However, is kinda sad that it would be not many times both of us could out for cafe hopping because she is moving to Melbourne soon.

Great that there is a shopping mall - Bangsar village nearby the cafe, because it is so hard to get parking.

For sure the parking fee aint cheap, but it is just a short catch up for us. The cafe is in walking distance from Bangsar village, first i couldnt see it as it did not have sign board outside the shop.

Using google map, i able to locate the place but there are so many cafes around, when i thought i might be lost, suddenly saw the menu board outside the shop i standing was written "VCR" lol.

Cheryl arrived very soon after I got a table, this is what i have:

Potato waffle with fried chicken : at first i am not sure what it means by potato waffle, i was thinking maybe a waffle topped with potatoes, then later only i found out it was the waffle shaped potato! So good, crispy at the outside, soft and mushy upon biting. I love the chicken too, seems dry from its apperance, but they are actually very juicy, very tasty too. =D

Now i can say, after yellow brick road cafe, stranger at 47 cafe, VCR will be the next cafe i would like to revisit. =)

Cheryl get herself the Turkish egg, she love it, but it was not my plate of dish hehe. To me, it was just baked chick pea with egg, maybe unique, but that's it. I dont remember the taste too.

Since Cheryl praised about their cakes, so i ordered one too - the king, which was the signature cake in VCR.

It is actually chocolate banana cake coated with peanut butter frosting, the combination is quite drastic, people would either love it or hate it.

I am ok with the combination, the cake is nice, but not delicious, nothing to shout about. Fussy me wouldnt rank this cake as signature, as i wouldnt come back for this, but yes for their mains.

I guess they must have other great cakes too as what Cheryl said, maybe more in Bukit Bintang. Guess shall visit there some other time.

That's all for my weekend. =D Great that i had finally drove to Bangsar village area, here have so many great cafes, i would come again next time hehe.
